It doesn’t make much sense for Hook, in the midst of his hunt for revenge for his one true love, to settle down and start a family, and then go back on the rampage, does it? I dunno, I just don’t see it meshing with the character as established in the Onceverse.

Well, Whale’s gonna be in the next ep. I don’t think they’d have him there just for Rumple to almost stomp. And he’s been the key edge to that whole science vs magic thing for most of the season.

When Neal grabbed Gold from behind, that was like the first hug-like moment they’ve shared in 250 years. And Gold’s just like “Let go of me!”

I mean, yeah, they had that hand moment when he was dying, but…

Well…on the note of Emma’s birthday…the newspaper reads October 23rd -after- the curse rolls in, the day that Regina wakes up and the Flynns walk into town in the morning.

It was night in SB when the curse rolled in, though it was apparently daylight yet when Emma and Pinocchio came through the tree. So…logic dictates that Emma was born the 22nd, not the 23rd.

Further evidence? Henry shows up late at night on her birthday. She takes him to Storybrooke that evening. She spends the night in jail (having hit the sign and knocked herself out). The next night, at 8:15 pm, she decides to stay in Storybrooke for a week. The clock ticks. 12 hours away in Phucket, the date on the screen reads October 24th, 8:15 AM., when August starts turning back to wood. That means it’s October 23rd in Storybrooke, and that means her birthday was the 22nd.

Now, whether the showrunners will actually get that right should it come up again is an interesting question. But on my timeline, Emma’s birth is the 22nd of October, 1983.

So my waking thoughts are, what if Rumple tells Lacey what he’s scared of re Henry and she reacts in horror. She might like Dark Gold but killing a kid (or killing anyone) is too far for her? She’s not actually -evil-, not anymore than Snow and David were when they were cheating (“cheating” since they were technically already married to each other?) on Kathryn. She’s just giving in to her darker desires as per the curse.

And so he loses Lacey, and his chance at Belle, and any chance of Bae coming to like him cuz all Bae sees is him hurting people (Emma, Whale, maybe Keith) the same way he did in FTL.

That’s rock bottom for him. And that’s when he’d have to make a choice for good.

And as much as I want TLK for Rumbelle, it does leave poor Sneezy out in the cold, cuz dwarves can’t love (unless they’re Dreamy).

Also, Belle, Bae, and Henry could all bond over having (slightly) abusive, controlling parents. Would pay for that scene. Jus’ sayin’.
