It can’t be spelled incorrectly–it’s his true name. Fairytales predate standardized spelling (even moreso when you count the fact that we’re translating many of them from other languages), so there may be more than one historical spelling for a name. But it’s spelled right.

Nah, it was purple. However, magic from other worlds has had other colors–magic from Wonderland seems to be blue (at least the mushroom stuff is).

Blue Fairy couldn’t come up in the elevator–just hit me–because the elevator requires someone to operate it. She’s running the elevator. But Cora and Regina just used magic.

Well, we already know that magic in our world is a little unpredictable. It took Regina a little time to get her powers back after magic was returned, Gold said that it was behaving differently, and based on how Gold used the wand he had in the mines, they need fairy dust to fuel the wands. There’s been enough time for BF to have found her wand in some manner (though, yeah, it’d be nice to know how), but Gold and Regina took all the immediately available power from the mine when they were trying to keep Cora out of SB. So maybe BF doesn’t have her full power atm.

THEORY! (After watching it again.) If you hold someone’s heart, you can control that person, as we saw with the Huntsman and Aurora.
Cora’s got the dagger, so she can control Rumple when he gets back. But if Snow has Cora’s heart, she can control Cora…

For a long period of Season 1, Cora was trapped in Wonderland, though. She couldn’t have been impersonating the BF then.

And I believe that young Regina only asked her mother whether she knew the king was in the area–she suspected but she didn’t call her mother on it at the time.

I think they just worked around him–it was suggested that he was in the castle, but working on something. The important things were happening between Snow, Johanna, and Eva anyway; Leopold just wasn’t a relevant factor. Fair enough to assume that he (the character) was indeed present based on the fact that he was at least mentioned, just not on screen.
