The fact that it’s Will is what gives me the most hope that BOTH will go back to their true loves. They just have to find the way.

Well, right now it’s got as much substance as Emma and the flying monkey…and it feels like it was introduced about the same way as many of the other third wheels in the show.
Rumple’s reaction broke my heart and I feel so sorry for whatever’s going to happen to Will now…but I firmly believe both Will and Belle will eventually return to their true loves.
Also, the QoD telling Rumple that Belle didn’t even ask after him (ouch) when she still gets emotional at just the thought of him…
Yeah, Rumbelle ain’t dead.

There are two songs (besides Beauty and the Beast’s whole soundtrack) that seem as if they were written specifically with Rumbelle in mind, one from his perspective and one from hers. I only found them through fan vids…but I’ve been listening to them nonstop for the past couple of weeks.

If any non-magical person can use magic, it’s Belle (or maybe Henry). She’s done more research on it than anyone in that town except Rumple. AND she has the keys to Rumple’s shop of Things plus whatever he’s keeping at home.
Given her occasional reluctance to use magic (the town protection spell, the fairy dust Dreamy gave her, using the dagger to control the dark one at his own request), it’ll be interesting to see what motivates this conversation. But while Belle’s been hesitant to use magic at times, she’s also intensely fascinated by it and more than willing to use it when she deems it necessary. (It also seems to have a strong pull on her–Lacey’s increased attraction to Rumple when she found out he had magic, choosing the magic rock over saving Anna from falling. It tempts her even when she knows better.)

Yeah, it sounds like they’re in her library (or possibly the shop). But I do wonder how Belle plans to turn them into toads…sounds like she’s been raiding Rumple’s magic stash.

Well, it is a crazy idea, and I realize that.
Based on spoilers, though, we know that the Unforgiven flashbacks happen after the honeymoon/medusa episode. That means that whatever happened between the Charmings & the QoD happened after a) Regina retrieved the curse (that was approximately the day after the public wedding) from Maleficent, b) David & Rumple put that egg into Mal’s dragon body, and c) George and Regina were both defeated and their kingdoms under the Charmings’ control. It’s also before (or around the time of–I currently have those events a year before her birth) Emma’s conception. It’s also likely before Cinderella’s wedding (which is a timeline headache at this point).
Not sure timeline-wise how it fits in with Aurora being cursed. Phillip was cursed by Mal sometime during Skin Deep or before, and it’s possible the two of them were both cursed for some time before they were reunited.

My current theory–Lily is Mal’s daughter and Snow is responsible for sending her to the Land Without Magic somehow.

I’m convinced their secret is linked to how Lily wound up in the real world…maybe Emma wasn’t the first baby they banished.

Given that Ursula is supposed to have been a goddess who existed so long ago the mermaids didn’t even know if she was real anymore, I’m hoping like heck it’s something before he went to Neverland.
