I wonder if he’s going there to look for things that meant something to his son–cuz we know they can be imbued with magic–like the dreamcatcher he saw Emma with. See, THAT would make sense to me. Taking over the world just isn’t his style.

Honestly, I don’t think there’s any chance that Hook & Emma have had sex…I mean, Rumple’s had Hook’s heart for a couple of days now, and they only had their “first date” a few days before that. Plus, Emma lives with her parents, her baby brother, sometimes her son, and the human ice machine…while Hook’s at Granny’s, and she hears everything.
It doesn’t -have- to be shown, obviously, but there’s just no real room for it at present. And it’s waaaaaaaaaaay too soon for Emma to be thinking of marriage. She’d been with Walsh 8 months before she even considered it.

I’m hoping it’s not once, but if it is…Rumbelle seems far more likely (and something that could work toward a good ending) than OQ.

What I want him to do is take Belle on a tour of the world, since he knew early on that’s what SHE always wanted to do. I want them to take Henry, too, for Educational Purposes. I want them to live like kings and laugh and Rumple to threaten anyone who looks at Belle the wrong way but Belle to stop him from doing any real harm.
And I would laugh my head off if Charming insisted on coming along and I got to see my favorite broship exploring our world along with their family.
But…as for what I think…and I know it seems unlikely at present: the only thing that makes sense to me is that Rumple believes there’s a way to bring Bae back, and it involves sacrificing our world to do it.

From Rumple’s perspective, Hook’s done a LOT of damage to him…between taking away Bae’s mother & his first wife (yes, she probably would have left anyway, but Rumple doesn’t always lay blame where it belongs), taking Belle’s memories and nearly killing him, and then helping Pan’s minions so they could kidnap Henry resulting in Rumple’s death and everything that followed…
Hook helped kill Rumple’s second dream, a simple life with his wife and son. (First one was just being with his dad; Pan did that one in.) And then he took away from the precious little time he had with Belle & Neal when he actually found them. No matter how woobified the pirate is, he hurt Rumple in some of the deepest places…it’s no wonder he thinks he should have crushed Hook’s heart when he had the chance a couple hundred (150 by my reckoning) years ago.

What’s funny is that despite the jillion times they’ve said that’s what they’re trying to do, my mom watched this and I STILL had to explain that his plan is to separate himself from the dagger while keeping his power.
