ParticipantAnymore, people are in shock when they realize that something can be done by hand. We’re so used to buying things all finished from the shelves that the idea that we could do it ourselves is downright foreign.
But there is little that’s as rewarding as seeing a vision through to completion.

ParticipantThere is a pattern for some of Regina’s S1 outfits–McCall’s M6818. They also did some Snow White outfits in a similar vein 🙂 If you’ve a friend who can show you the ropes and loan you machines/supplies, you’re 3/4 of the way there.
It does take time, energy, and money, but it’s a learnable skill. Just like anything else…the easiest way to guarantee you won’t manage it is never to try.

ParticipantWhat would you most LIKE to make, Watcher? We can point you to some resources. There are also classes in a lot of stuff offered at craft & fabric stores, and through various organizations and clubs, if you’re truly interested.
But the most important thing when it comes to crafting is to actually try it. You won’t like the first or second attempt but you’ll probably be pretty pleased with the fact you did it, and by the third or so you’ll actually like what you’re making.

ParticipantI’m convinced A&E’s timeline is mostly a list of events, and they’re not as concerned with the spacing of those events as they should be. Presently, I think they’re picturing Belle’s time in the Dark Castle (around which just about everything seems to flow–maybe it’s just because -I- am so focused on Belle, but seriously–that’s where my best timeline clues come from) as more like four months than two (an estimate based on her “I’ve had a couple of months to look around” comment.
So, yes, we have Anna visiting young David, but it could only be a few months before he becomes James at most.
Marian’s execution does seem to be while Roland is a newborn, though when we see her pregnant Belle’s been at the Dark Castle two weeks tops. (I estimate about five days–long enough for Rumple’s night after night comment, but not so long that she’s content there yet.)
Adam did say on Twitter that Roland’s “Mom?” was more of a question than a recognition.
Keep in mind they did say that between Arendelle & Misthaven (the EF) is a two-week journey. That means that it must have taken Belle at least two weeks to get there and back (though Anna’s journey could easily coincide with the first half, and she took the shortcut back). So after Belle let Anna fall into the hands of the Snow Queen, there is at least another week before she goes to the Dark Castle. On my timeline, unless shown otherwise, I’ll probably give it another week before her father consents to summoning Rumple and he actually shows up; things were quite dire at the beginning of Skin Deep but Belle didn’t even notice on her way home.
So I’m thinking the events of the Frozen timeline are taking place over the course of two weeks to a month at most, half of which happens before Belle goes to the Dark Castle. That easily has Rumple in possession of Urned Elsa by the time Snow Drifts.

ParticipantWhat they’re saying about the Emma-Rumple relationship really matches my headcanon, where he likes & respects Emma a lot, sees her as family. This just goes with that impression–he views her as heroic, too.

ParticipantI like Gaultheria’s theory.
I think that it’s still got that red bit where his love for Belle & Bae reside. That love is the bit that keeps him from succumbing entirely to the darkness and always has been.
But the black is definitely encroaching right now.

ParticipantAlso, I’m still convinced that Emma and Henry have a special place in Rumple’s heart and did even before he knew that his son loved both of them or that they were family. I think he includes them in his “people he loves” when he warns Ingrid. That’s headcanony, but I think most of the show supports that–even in the rare instances when he puts one or the other in danger in pursuit of a goal.

ParticipantNobody ever LISTENS to Rumple. Yeah, he manipulates those who have something he wants, and misleads when it’s in his favor, but he just TOLD Emma there’s a better option than coming to him. He TOLD Ingrid that their bracelets were better than what he had to offer.
He’s been lying through his teeth about the dagger but honestly, that’s not his usual mode (which is why I think the hat is exceptional to other stuff he’s done). He tells people the price, just buries it in language favorable to him–his contracts etc.
I don’t think for an instant that he WANTS to take away Emma’s magic anymore. Needs more context, but by itself, that clip strongly suggests it wasn’t his initial goal at all.
