ParticipantI really think the theme is from PP who felt replaced by Rumple (sibling rivalry). So Pan is throwing the idea at Rumple, but separately it comes up for Snowing/Emma. It might be another thing in common for Emma/Neal, suddenly having a baby brother/sister. They too missed the baby years with Henry after all.

ParticipantI would like to keep Ariel’s magic legs bracelet, and Bae’s red robe, please.

ParticipantGepetto makes sense if there is a threat to Pino’s August memories returning, and Gepetto takes the magic attack meant for Pino. Then BF vanishes in a puddle when they go to confront her–and off to Oz!

ParticipantBeautiful videos, thank you for sharing (or making!).
I was rethinking the “Echo Cave” confessions. Each is something they didn’t want the others to know, yes, but more importantly I think, it is something the speaker didn’t want to be true.
David didn’t want to be stuck on the island.
Snow didn’t want to have missed Emma’s childhood.
Hook didn’t want to have moved on from Milah by falling for the woman who loves the man he used to want to raise as a son.I hope they pursue the whole “honor” angle for Hook, and kind of have him make a similar choice to Katherine/Abigail –he wants to find his own second chance because he realizes Emma is not “it” for him, she just awoke the possibility of wanting that second chance. Or as Colin made a pun “It’s not you, It’s Smee!”…..I kid I kid, I would like to Smee back but not as Hook’s LI, because I am still thinking Smee was a dirty rat long before he was a …well dirty rat.

ParticipantWhat the BF said to Archie pertains to him as an enchanted cricket, since a cricket’s life would of course be shorter than a human, BUT the curse reversed his condition. He is now a normal human man again, and therefore, I do not think his life is tied any longer to her “blessing”. So I think Gepetto can die, and Archie can live on, thanks to Regina’s curse.
They’re trying to redeem Regina, so they may be trying to show the “silver linings” in her curse theme that first came up in the Ruby and Whale scene in In the Name of the Brother.

ParticipantMy guesses:
Gepetto:
I think Gepetto would make most narrative sense. I LOVE Tony Amendola, but let’s face it, Raphael was a series regular in season 1 and they never fully did much with him. If Gepetto dies, and Archie suddenly has to raise little Pino, it could open up many things they may have had planned originally before NL rights came in. I think BF killing Pino to protect secrets would be too dark, but her TRYING to kill him and failing because Gepetto takes the hit instead would be beautifully tragic.
Tink would also make sense, as a guest star and it is traditional in PP that she does in fact die, drinking poison to save Peter but the audience claps and she comes back. In the novel also its implied she dies, that Pan no longer remembers her a year or two later.Yet, why would she die, again, when you don’t know, blame BF! Perhaps they have a show down and BF says last time I didn’t believe in you and you lost your wings, you should have left well enough alone, and then Tink just falls down dead. Yikes!
Ruby could die only b/c Meghan has another show, doesn’t make narrative sense to pick her, but Granny does. She’s already had a heart attack within the show, and it could create an explanation for no longer using the diner as a “hang out” b/c Ruby closes it up, not wanting to run it after Granny dies. So then they’ll create a new “hang out” spot….Belle’s Library Cafe? Where the characters will gather for various scenes as required.
They aren’t killing the Charmings (too centrally important!), and they already did fake-out death for Neal and Archie so redundant to go there again, and Hook is far too popular, and they invested in his growth as a character, so not him!

ParticipantI think of these Gepetto dying would make sense. Raphael was supposed to have some scenes, and that’s true, PoM that with Gepetto dying, Archie could raise August-boy.
I also hope it isn’t someone in the main cast.

ParticipantOoh I like it Pan14 !
I was thinking alternatively, what if Rumple’s mother died at his birth and their father could not handle raising both of the kids, so ran off. Pan felt his childhood ending early (like if he were 14) so he made a wish, and BF granted it, that he could be a child forever in NL. Then she took Rumple to the spinners. Yet the cost of that wish turned their father into the first Dark One.
It has a parallel to Hook being cared for by Liam, plus seems like something BF would do.

ParticipantI loved this episode.
Screwball Ninja wrote another essay on this episode that says it all for me, funnier and better than I ever could.
http://screwballninja.tumblr.com/
It’s down her page a bit, not in her essay link list (and they’re all worth reading), but entitled Ariel.
Ever see The Wedding Singer, Made of Honor, Sleepless in Seattle, there is a plot devive so common it has a trope. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DisposableFiance so I strongly disagree that love is “cheapened” by someone who has not yet said their marriage vows realizing they are still in love with someone else, especially after the fiance shot and admitted it was all an elaborate scam to play them for some “sacred” mission against magic. I think it is cheapened by those who say their vows, with no ulterior motive or coercion, then break them (Milah) without any attempt to reconcile seriously first (and who knows, perhaps Milah had been trying we barely see her side of things..).
I think all the characters showed growth and it moves the story along that after such traumatic events they are ALL different, forever changed. They may not have changed in the ways you predicted (perhaps hoped) but they are reacting and emoting based on the crazy situations finally. While there are more things still swept under the rug (hello Hook and Bae and your past issues), I hope these are reserved for future episodes.

ParticipantMaybe then he was wearing the clothes to film a transition flashback, from Dylan to MRJ post escape from NL? Because they could show Dylan-Bae arriving in “the real world” and then heartbroken as he leaves Kensington Gardens to try to get to the Darlings house only everything has changed. Then they flash up “X years later” and we see MRJ-Neal sleeping in the bug.
