Yes, we also know he thought Henry would lead him to his son before that, but once he found out he was his grandson, he had no problems asking Bae if he’d like to be 14, then yelling at Henry, telling Henry rudely to call him whatever, then of course, trying to kill him and getting so close he almost did it!

I don’t see Rumple thinking of Henry as a replacement for Bae. Rumple hasn’t spent years as Henry’s father, but he still holds those memories dear of his little baby boy that honked his nose. It’s a different thing with Henry who he knows is related, but doesn’t have that built up emotional connection.

Where did Tinkerbell go? didn’t she go to Pan’s camp or back to her hovel until they had an escape route?

I also wonder, was it Ogre Wars they were fighting? SO much backstory for them to go into.
I also think it is possible set-up for Eric’s ancestor’s kingdom (or Eric). However they approach the timelines here.

Oh Diabolical, thelonebamf! Have you been studying with Pan? I could totally see Pan doing that, he is one sneaky glorious villain.

RG: there was a certain oddness to this episode. It just felt very….”we listen to our fans!” heavy. The “Our son” lines,Regina using magic, the kiss, the focus on Hook saving Charming (the Bromance!). Snowing Kiss. Neal getting drugged and thrown in a cage….just pretty much what fans wanted. And then things they didn’t know they did (Flying ships, Snarky Pan).

Yet underneath all that were many things that seemed more than a bit out of character for how these people usually interact. We have Emma going full bonkers with allowing Regina to take a heart. Then Emma and Hook were totally flirting it up, along with DaddyCharming wagging his finger about it. Up until now, all were a bit more reserved. Regina as well was downright chummy with Snow and Emma, like she’s the slightly but not entirely reformed criminal pal they turn to for the hook-up with a problem that requires a solution just outside the law (like frequent guest stars on Burn Notice played). You know, not someone who less than a week ago wanted to kill all of them, and last week was seething and sassy from her corner.

The best part though is, it is over and I was sort of right about Hook finding out first about Neal and being in a moral dilemma. I thought it would happen that he’d pick something of Neal’s off the ground, but Pan telling him works too. I do think Hook will tell Emma, because it is bad character growth if he doesn’t. I had also wondered if Pan would offer Hook that type of deal to sail away with Emma, but it appears that Hook turned it down, so it’s real growth for now. I’m not surprised though as I said, I had a feeling they’d give Hook fans everything they wanted in terms of redeeming the guy.

Yet what choice is it for Emma if she’s picking between two horrible characters? I feel like they had to do this if SF is going to be believable, that she’s choosing to return to Neal, when they did meet so young. She has to have a sense of her other options in a way, before knowing where her heart feels at home.

I”m happy for Lana anyway, she really is going to kill this part of the story, her favorite kill, if Regina takes on ursula’s role and fools Ariel.

    Likes:

    Charming being saved (yay)
Hook showing some character growth, doing a heroic thing
    Hook backstory
Mermaids in the JR Cabin, very interesting set room, didn’t look CGI
Pan telling Hook that Neal is alive (I thought Hook would find something of Neal’s on the ground for the moral dilemma but this makes total sense, sneaky Pan).
    Pan ‘s really, really old.
Liked the “our son” and Regina feeling a part of the family, even if the EVIL part of it “That’s what I’m here for….”
I loved the flying ship and Pegasus wings

    Dislikes:
Emma approving Regina stealing the heart, very dark moment
Henry dropping the mirror and letting it crack (7 years bad luck man)
How come Regina can risk using a little magic, doesn’t Pan sense it (confused)

I figure they’ll have a way around it, perhaps “the New Neverland” explains that, if Henry changes where NL is, to SB.
