I know Rg, I am going to miss his twittering because I really don’t see Felix as a permanent addition. Evil Lackey #1 is just a spot doomed for “justifiable kill”.

I think what Phee says sounds plausible, that it is Regina’s favorite kill, taking down Ursula. Because it’s kind of a good thing, but she’s doing it for the wrong reasons. It would bite Ariel in the tail getting rid of the one way that she gets to be with her love, but stopping the despot that’s ruining lives (unknowingly setting up another!). Perhaps she thinks Regina will permanently grant her legs but it doesn’t quite work out that way until the curse (in the you get your wish but not the way you want it sort of theme).

Wasn’t there something about how Ariel wouldn’t eat a crab? So this could tie into that.
Or….it could be leading into my super-wacky-pet-cracky theory: Urusula is Undead Zombie Milah risen from her watery grave. Daniel was resurrected, body preserved and the results were not pretty. Squid Ink is very magical, plus PP could have used his “immense” abilities to set up the ultimate way to mess with everyone, but until it was time for that, she was messing with Ariel.

Reading that Screwball ninja essay made me feel better, even if it is not “pro”Neal or SF, it gets to the point. Neal may not be right for Emma, but I hope the writers realize that loud vocal online fans have a skewed perspective from the average viewer. The average viewer is going to be shocked to learn that Hook was once a good guy, just like they were that Neal and Emma still loved each other. The writers need to get on showing the jail back-story though. I just hope they do not change it from what Adam tweeted and what they said in interviews. I am kind of afraid they will.

She looks fantastic as Ariel, and while I still wish his hair were darker, they’re awesome together. Can’t wait for this episode.

I don’t know what these writers intend for their story, but they have started off subverting tropes of the female damsel-in-distress, trying to write strong female characters. Neal and Rumple are not operating in a vacuum. I want to see Belle have a role to play here and feel some of the space between them may be intentional to create a need for one who can bridge their perspectives. I am hopeful Belle can, but first I would like her to repair her own relationship with Mo. Granted I feel it is more on Mo than Belle to make the effort, for what he did was terrible. His motive for doing it though was not self-preservation or to hurt her for the sake of it–he really believed she was brainwashed and in danger from Rumple. He ought to have trusted her more, but he crossed a line by trying to take her memory away, even though he did not succeed. That whole conversation frustrated me when they shouted how the other didn’t understand–maybe if you stopped shouting, you could talk and try to understand? Mo never told Belle how her boyfriend savagely beat him in SB, and Belle never told Mo how sure she is that her boyfriend has changed because of her.
I hope the writers go in a hopeful direction.
