Put the lime in the coconut indeed Ginny.

    I remember that tweet.

Mickstemp: I totally get that reference.  I loved Kairi, Sora and Kingdom Hearts.  Maybe no keyblades, but we do have a BaeBlade in here you know (Bae’s sword on Emma’s back!).

I loved that scene with the stars, it was so beautiful.  Regina is getting the best lines though.  Good, no one delivers Snark like Lana.  It’s the EQ’s true power.

We had a long discussion somewhere over the summer and yes, LOTF was brought up by many of us.  I also thought to some extent it might echo “The Most Dangerous Game” that short story, and the writers have explicitly mentioned “Heart of Darkness” as well, with Pan being the guy who got lost in primitive/tribal culture,  like Kurtz.  Kurtz is worshiped as a Demi-God, and Pan seems to be one too.

I love fairytales, but I like the echoes of classic and more substantive stories as well.  LOTF is one that haunts you, but I am still drawn to more happy stories.

Yes, I figured it was last weeks, so I think the issue date of the one with the Once stuff will be Oct 25th but come out tomorrow.

OOOh, interersting  Maybe George had an affair and that is why his wife got cursed, when he would not recognize the baby of his mistress?

    Emma loves the color Yellow

Cause it reminds her of her fellow

She tried to steal his car

    She didn’t get too far

But his reaction was very mellow

I made another limerick awhile back for one of those swanfire positive sights, just happy swanfire confessions.  tumblr can be so ugly but I thought that was a cute idea, just positive fluff pictures and headcannon.

Her headress has coins in it, at least, they look like coins with holes in them, which is an ancient style of coin.  Yet the metal work is very different than the earring style, so the earring does stand out.  I agree the earring might be a dreamcatcher reference, but I felt her overall look said “Gypsy” reference.   As I said, it very well may be a dreamcatcher reference, but it doesn’t feel like a hugely resonant theme for Regina so far.
Most of us were sort of wondering why versus Apples and Trees that stand out as obvious signs for her.

That’s interesting that Emma helps Regina go further, but we have not yet had the reverse situation.   Emma is trying and is not able alone, and Regina comes and adds in her power.  So far, it has happened the other way around.

Maybe in NL we will see this scene go the other way but I like your idea that faith and trust will come into it.  I would love to have a scene of Emma showing faith in Regina in that way.

I think in general this season has our heroes and villains are  all in a place of having to check the idealism at the door and realize sometimes there are no perfect solutions just as when Snow and Charming put baby Emma in the closet in the pilot. Eva died. Ruth died. Leo died.   Evil gets its small victories, and good gets its unavoidable losses.  Well, they are unavoidable if you want to stay good.  The more you compromise your principles though to achieve a perfectly acceptable goal through unjustified means, the more you slide down that line between good and evil.  Then you start in on unacceptable goals through unjustified means, of hurting innocent people, until you’re doing it to make yourself happy or worse, because you can and there’s no real reason.  Pan seems to me to be in this last category but we shall see if he really is trying to save magic and help everyone, or is he just an immortal child looking for thrills to stave off the boredom of his continued existence.

I am hoping Neal will check Rumple rather than Rumple dragging Neal down, just as I hope for all our Goodies not to descend while our Baddies reform.  I don’t want them to all meet in the middle in morality, as I am hoping for more of an upward shift overall.  The writers probably will not do that, so perhaps they are planning to have a spiral of moral collapse.  We did see sweet Henry shooting an arrow at Pan.  Emma and Charming holding knives at people’s throats (but they backed off).

NL is bringing out the darkness in everyone I think, but I had some small hope from seeing that scene, that they will beat that darkness.

I would say Hookriel is definitely a crack ship and a minority thing around here.   I feel like most people actually want straight re-tellings with only slight alterations  so its like a live action version with the mashing only being about how they meet these other fairy tale characters, but basically live out their tales more or less as we expect (like Cinderella/Thomas).   I’m ok with Hookriel staying crack, but I hope my portal jumping spec still can be true along with Krakken Ursula-Magic Squid.
Guess we’ll have to see!  When she commented on having just given birth and how her …ahem, posterior is large, my first thought was, well you’re playing a mermaid, and if there is one time you can get away with a big tail…but I feel for her.   That is one skimpy costume but  hopefully she gets into the pink ballroom dress (or whatever Eduardo reimagines for her) pretty soon, then into something warmer 🙂

Well it is weekly, and as I said, maybe that was sitting in my box  a bit, so perhaps the Oct. 25th edition will go on sale on the 18th, which would make sense with how it is being promoted for 3 05.  Its just a weird thing that they put out the content in advance of the actual dates it corresponds to for the week it is dated.
