We need a Unicorn sticker. Maybe everything will not be anything like what we expect, but it might be pretty good and pop-corn worthy 😛(edit I don’t know why the image is so big because I tried to scale it down )

ParticipantDoes Emma know he saved her mother’s life? I think Emma was starting to genuinely fall in love with Graham, but it was who she thought he was, and the interesting thing is is we will never get to know unless they slow down and have some conversations about it since Graham isn’t going to explore it with Emma. Unless he pops up in Nl for a dream /subconscious sequence.
So many things don’t add completely up in this show, but it is nice for continuity for Emma to wear something from Graham. He was important to her, and she should remember him.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. ParticipantSaraTN asked this in Chat:
Sarah_TN: Question for everyone: Both Emma and Hook share the aspect that they grew up without their parents. They were both abandoned. Shouldn’t Hook be hearing the children crying too? I mean maybe that’s something they will address later, but it hit me that since only people who’ve been through what they have can hear that sound, that they are the only two in that group who will hear it.
I stared replying then realized she’d probably logged off since I hadn’t checked the time stamps!
We don’t know Hook’s true backstory, only the bit he said to Bae about having been abandoned by his father too. What he says his father and he boarded a ship with plans to travel the realms, but when he woke up in the morning his father was a fugitive and had fled in the night to avoid capture. This implies Hook was old enough to remember some of the tale, but we don’t know if he was Bae’s age, or Felix’s or a little tyke barely able to remember.
We also know nothing of his mother, which is funny because that scene starts off with Hook saying to Bae something along that line that Bae had already told him his mother’s fate. Hook never talked about his mother, why she wasn’t with him and his father.
Maybe there’s a difference between not having parents because they died and having ones who choose to leave you, who abandon you. If you think about it, being an orphan is not enough, as Snow, Charming and Regina are now orphans, but it happened in vastly different ways (especially for Regina!) at different enough stages of their lives that they were not forced to grow up wondering if they were ever loved (regardless of how twisted and empty the love of one of those parents might be, again for Regina), the way Emma was. Perhaps you need BOTH parents to abandon you to grow up, or if it is just one, that it happens at a young enough age.
Or it could be that Pan just set up the sound for Emma to hear. We can’t really draw a lot of conclusions.
On Hook’s mother–in the Disney Jr. Jake and the NL pirates, Mama Hook is a fearsome pirate in her own right, and is sort of Hook’s inspiration. He’s totally a mama’s boy but he is written for comic effect. For this Killian Jones version, perhaps that is already touched on by Milah being a lady pirate but they could possibly show him having been adopted as a son by a lady pirate after his father abandoned him, We don’t know, and I’m excited to see what A&E’s take on how he became a pirate and more of his relationship with Pan and NL.

ParticipantI agree, MysteryKat, this year we are learning nifty shadow tricks. I am reluctantly warming to the Rumple and Pan as brothers. Perhaps though they are spiritual brothers of a curse that does not belong to the realm they are in. I would like it if this storyline is setting up the back half of the season. So we end NL finding out that Pan is to NL as Rumple is to the EF. In both cases they are strong, powerful, evenly matched in some ways but opposite. What if Pan searched for his father just as Rumple searched for his son? Like Rumple thinks, he found him too late and it marked a shift to a loss of belief that began to eat away at magic, because hope is the strongest magic, and both lose hope.

ParticipantI did thinkshe was being nicer to Hook and Regina both, perhaps because she was feeling tense around MM and David, but also to be the leader. Regina called her Emma, not Miss Swan, and Hook shared another drink with her. The difference is of course Hook continues to be interested in her, but I felt he toned down the flirt a bit, and as a result was given less hostile treatment.
I agree she still has walls up that she is not ready to lower but even more important was that her headspace was being a little girl again. She was not thinking of romance, but on being an orphan. It does not matter what romantic or parental love comes into her life. Those childhood years are gone, and she will never get them back or get to experience them as a child with parents.
Yet she has parents now and though they are the same age, I think Snow and Charming can be in her life in a parental way. Emma thinks they have the same wisdom but it is not quite true. David and Snow both grew up with loving parents at least part of the time and it is true of Neal too. Emma did not really ever experience what that is like.
So what is Emma there to do? Be a mother! I think the necklace that belonged to Eva was an interesting detail, perhaps meaningless or perhaps it might lead into the writers exploring that Snow and Charming having a sense of what it even means to be a mother that Emma lacks, because of the examples they had of Ruth and Eva.
I am a bit worried at the hidden depth of Emma’s resentment because while we knew she would still have issues with Neal, I thought she was further along on forgiving. The only thing is, when Pan mentioned Henry I knew it is something Emma will have to heal because she has to believe that Henry would forgive her too. So fundamentally her situation has not changed, even if right now she has gone backwards emotionally, but I think she will make progress rapidly on it. I have a feeling Charming’s injury might spark the realization that she truly loves her parents too despite the years of loss. I hope that of course would feed into a much later realization with Neal.

ParticipantI agree RG, and Sedorna, I was trying to make sense myself because I don’t see much resentment from Henry, and Emma seemed to be working through things she had suppressed, but Pan is playing up the weakness and the doubt for sure. I think it will make more sense when we know more about Pan.

ParticipantIt does not matter if you are in NL, don’t expect the Dark One to show you mercy, especially when he was not shipping you and his son in the first place. Somethings all the belief in the world won’t change.
If diving into the ocean to take a leap of faith, check for falling objects first that might clonk you on the head.

ParticipantI am going to try to tweet but might not be able to so:
1) What do you prefer Green Screen or set pieces
2)If you could swap wardrobe, Rumplestilskin, Hook , Charming, or Pan?
3)Do you prefer comic or angsty moments in acting?
4)Are you more excited to explore Neal’s past, or present/ future?
5) Weapon of choice for Neal: Sword, words or staff?
