ParticipantI agree Rumple is going to get very dark and conflicted. We’ve already seen him rip out Tamara’s heart after acknowledging she was just a pawn, and after she said she tried to help Henry to escape Pan. Too bad for her she was not a main character, because I guess we never even get her back-story now.
What I find about Rumple’s mindset is he often gets very tunnel vision about things. He could have asked Tamara about Neal, and had a few moments to know more of his son’s life, but he is not in the mood for remembering old moments.
Then we get that scene with Felix, and a doll is thrown to him and he breaks down weeping. I know there’s a story of his father ahead, but I am still thinking the doll has to do with Bae, or hoping it does. A counterpart to Neal finding the walking stick in a way.

ParticipantI go back and forth on this:
Is there a real Home Office, that PP took advantage of by commandeering two of its splinter cell agents, so they had no idea who they were really reporting to was not the original organization they wanted to serve?
Or to flip that on its head–what if some of the organization he created went rogue, so although he did start it because it is easier to get people to hate than to believe, it actually took on a life of its own. Hey, that could tie to Dr. Whale and Frankenstien too thematically–Pan may have started it, but he may not be as in control of it as he thinks.

ParticipantRobbie nailed it. I enjoyed the scenes even though I knew he was Pan, but it was still suspenseful. Would Henry find out, how, etc.

ParticipantI think ReHo is ahead. I bet we’ll find out next episode that Marian died, and that’s what the spoiler about a fan uproar was about. We have to get some explanation of how he was spared from the curse.
I was hoping RH had left the realm entirely so was not affected by Regina’s curse, but it would appear he didn’t do that. So that is one wrinkle in this relationship that he is sort of (like everyone else!) one of her victims.
I want them to address that in some way, but one of the theories we had that Tamara was RH’s daughter, and Regina would kill her doesn’t seem to be happening right now, so at least there’s no danger of that!

ParticipantHappy Endings, I’m not sure it confirms that. I don’t think they were being exact with the numbers. We know Pan was around when Neal landed, so that was at least 300 years, yet they say 200 in this quote. It doesn’t add up, so I think they were just not being accurate as the point really was–this kid isn’t a kid and is older than he looks.

ParticipantI think Mulan possibly did go through the same thing, though if you read Screwball Ninja’s essays, there is one where she thinks Mulan maybe fell in love with Aurora. If so, it really puts their comparison to dismissing Neal and Mulan more definitively than SQ in an interesting light.

ParticipantIt is interesting that he said they were liars. That implies previous conversation, though it could be stories he heard.

ParticipantWhat does the Emma and Neal theme sound like? I thought someone said it was similar or had elements alike to the True Love one. I’m not good enough distinguishing things like that.
I think the way Emma collapsed on the floor in that scene says a lot. She wanted to go with him, but knew she had to stay for Henry. That interview made me happy, because shipping aside, I want Neal to gain back his confidence and bravery, and I can’t wait to hear some jokes about the characters versus the movies. I hope the season does address some of his point of view about what happened after he left Emma as it feels like there’s a lot of misunderstanding of why /how/when things went down.

ParticipantMaybe they can get Jeff Goldblum in a role. I think Hook as Malcom and Neal as the blonde Laura Dern character (forget her name) and Snow as Allen.

ParticipantThey have a love-hate relationship I think, which is what Ginny is saying. The love is buried way, way, way down deep under lots of pain and resentment. Every once in awhile, it does bubble back up and is still there, but overall Snow never forgot that Regina saved her life, and Regina never forgot what it felt like TO save someone.
