ParticipantThat is a good point. If so does it not mean that flashbacks in prior episodes occur before the curse? off to another thread with a theory about that.

ParticipantI am surprised by that too, they leaked Rapunzel everywhere. Odds are Lumiere is as plot irrelevant as Rapunzel, could be anyone but they want to work in the character.
I wonder if Z is just messing with them now, and goes into the bathroom and pretends that a pipe bursts and screams, they rush in and though she is drenched she just says it was really cold. She knows the legend says water harms her but it is wrong, water is her strength or something. So she stages that to laugh at them.
I am not sure about Emma’s concern, could be about Henry, Neal the whole situation, because this Emma is the one with memories of a good life, might be more easily moved to reveal her emotions. She is about to have a sibling and she cannot tell her son? There are crazy things going on, so any or all of it could get to her, without a specific event.

ParticipantIts an interesting theory Corbin but I have to agree it could only be a “diagonally” sort of situation.
I’ve been pondering that for awhile. We have Wicked. We have our heroes, but in S1, we had 3 separate camps more or less. Regina, destroying people’s happines. Emma and the Charmings–finding their lost family. Then there was Rumple, secretly trying to use that war to his own advantage to find his own family, little suspecting the twisted family wreath that would spring forth and unite them all. Or maybe he knew and that’s why he went insane, but I digress.
So this season we have Wicked, our heroes–but could someone be using this battle for their own purposes? Neal and Hook both spring to mind as someone with incentive to cross worlds potentially at the expense of others, particularly if so to speak, they weren’t causing the calamity, just taking advantage of something already in motion. I do think Neal has had a strong moral center in the past, so I feel its out of character for him actively choose to work with Wicked, to team up with someone who has questionable morals and aims. Hook on the other hand, much as I cannot see him wanting to directly harm Emma, does have this history of working with whoever can help him achieve what he wants, without really questioning his associates goals–except to the extent it might affect his goals of course. He changed goals as he entered NL from revenge to winning Emma–but did he change his concept of what’s honorable, his pirate’s sensibility ? He’s not going to do something that Emma might reject him for doing–unless he can do it without her knowing about it.
It’s possible he gave up his ship to get to Emma, but it is also possible he found out his ship had been taken over by someone and that to get it back, he had to do a favor for someone who needed to trap Emma in SB. The question I have is I can’t see Walsh being sent by the same person who might want to lure Emma to SB to trap her.
Wicked did have more than one flying monkey, as one was turned into a stuffed animal. So maybe Walsh was the one who attacked Regina and took the blood, but then we have to ask the question: How did he get to NYC? Did he fly to NL, then to the world without magic? Regina seemed sure there was no way to travel without that curse, but really we heard out-of-show about “adjacent worlds” and why would the world without magic stop being adjacent to NL and NL to EF if all that structure was in place long before Regina’ s curse ever took place?
So I don’t know. I like the idea of Hook and Neal working together, perhaps both playing the Wicked but its also possible one is her unwitting pawn or willing ally. Maybe there’s a troop of free Monkeys, led by Walsh, who have their own agenda. All I know is, whoever sent that note to Hook doesn’t seem to have the same goal as the person who deployed Walsh. One wanted Emma to come to SB, and one wanted to keep her away from it. It makes the most sense right now that Wicked sent Walsh, so I think it cuts against assuming Hook is somehow mixed up with Wicked too.
There’s just one more thing though. I wonder how Walsh knew about the potion. Emma doesn’t tell him HOW she got her memories back or even that she did. She just says to him that she has family stuff and has to go, and he immediately says “I wish you hadn’t taken that potion”. I found that a little curious. (appropriate for a monkey I guess!)

ParticipantYes! though it requires Rumple to mash as Oscar.

ParticipantKP and Koffee: Maybe its just the Frozen-feels of it, but I love OQ so far but still don’t want the weight of the story resting on it, rather than a family bond, in this case, mother/son but I’d take Wicked Sisters even –Regina breaking through Wicked’s envy and hate by showing her she loves her anyway because they are sisters. I’m just not sure it will go there because these two sisters don’t seem to get quality bonding time and expecting more punching time (magically speaking).

ParticipantYes to all the lovely thoughts!
Now I’m going to put something here that’s troubling me, mainly because I feel its calmer waters for discussing it, but it’s about something said in another thread about why Hook would keep something back from Emma. We were discussing in chat how naive Snow is, and it struck me that kind of applies to all the Charmings, but it shouldn’t apply to Regina.Seriously, its not supposed to be easy to cross to the world without magic, and NONE of them have bothered to grill Hook about HOW? I understand Emma and the Charmings being naive perhaps to accept some surface explanation that he got a note and boom was in NYC, but Regina? It’s one thing for Emma to feel like “Ok, that didn’t occur to me but anyway, I trust Hook” because she doesn’t get how magic works, but even though Regina’s emotional about Henry, I’m kind of surprised no one’s bothered to wonder how Hook pulled this off beyond the cursory explanation he gave. I’d buy Regina raising the flag, and the Charmings shooting her down because “why would Hook get Emma and bring her to help us if he meant us harm” which is also a good question–but I’d like that scene where someone says “Hey, that’s really odd.” It is really odd. Hook’s unwillingness to be forthcoming about details, combined with Regina’s lack of curiosity about it? It screams bad writing to me, cut scenes, or something. It just bothers me that’s all and I hope there will be a scene soon where someone puts 2 and 2 together and realizes it doesn’t make sense what Hook’s saying. He can’t just have been sailing the realms, and a bird shows up and now he’s in NYC. He had to have access to a portal and if so, as those are very rare, someone powerful must have helped him and well why wouldn’t he share that information so they’d know that person can’t help him? He’s claiming he didnt’ know who sent him the bottle. That he assumed it was Snow. Fine, but did someone just send him a bean too? Why didn’t they explain it?
Apparently the subject of 317 tells us its 2 more episodes until that’s addressed. .“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. ParticipantEveryone, so many lovely pictures, thoughts, videos! I love that graphic ArtsDeeva did with the “In your eyes song”.
RG: I agree–Desmond and Penny were my LOST OTP– but I also liked early “Chair”– LOST SPOILERS [spoilers] and that’s exactly what makes me nervous in a way. A&E wrote that sweet but sad ending to CHAIR. As for D&P, in the end, I remember Desmond went into that chamber thing but can’t remember if he survived it. I do remember he and Penny loved each other though and I guess for me that’s what it comes down to here. I love that Neal loves Emma, and that she loves him, and whether or not the writers do the fairytale thing or drown this in more angst, it won’t change the potential this story had and how much it moved me to care about the characters and what might or might not happen to them. I will hope on, especially with these title spoilers and how often HOME has been referenced in SF scenes, that this genre is calling for a less angsty ending. I’m just prepared and will be thankful for all the fun we’ve had discussing with those of you who also see what I see in Neal and Emma’s story. If the writers go a different direction, I imagine I’m just not going to feel all that invested or connected to it, but I suppose as ever I will wait and see how they write whatever they write. [/spoiler]

ParticipantI honestly think we’ve seen the magic of TLK from Emma with Henry, therefore it would be kind of odd to say that her “romantic true love” is somehow more important and able to achieve something that what she feels for her son could not. It might come off like romantic TLK is more powerful than maternal TLK.
I’m expecting something with Regina and Henry frankly, though I’m far from an Evil Regal, it just would fit more thematically for this season, whatever may or may not happen in Emma’s love life. I believe Regina’s motherly love for Henry is going to be a huge factor and we have yet to see that proven as every bit as true as the love Emma has for Henry. I feel the writers are driving towards this conclusion.

ParticipantYay for the title! An obvious choice but the perfect one…I love when they use famous story quotes. I really hope we are not going back to the Enchanted Forest for good. Storybrooke is a character in itself and I’d be sad to not see it anymore. Story characters in our world is a big part of the show’s appeal for me.
I agree, that is what I want to see. I actually think realizing they don’t belong in EF and that SB IS home now would make sense. In the EF they are these different people and creatures, and in SB they can come together between these fated roles of villain and heroes, and just be a family, a community.
