HenrySr. and Cora had a ball room meet cute that didn’t end well. On the other hand, Ella and Thomas obviously had a successful time (I can’t remember how much of it we saw).

The original animated little mermaid doesn’t have a dance scene, does it? So I think if they do include Ariel in pain and dancing, we are going to have a big hint that they are following the Andersen version somewhat.

Yes, it does which was why when I noticed an actor on OUAT had been in that movie, it was like, is that an accident?
Or is that part of a nod and why they chose Ethan Embry? Unless it was just they felt like they “can’t hardly wait” to get to NL…..

Agree–they can take more risks. Look at Belle and Beast. Not only did fans like the twist, they ate it up. That’s held up despite Rumple having a son, a first wife (that he killed) and all that. So I am inclined to think that they can mess with Ariel and Eric. I also think if they don’t, it will be boring like CinderThomas and Aurora and Phil. You want to be in serious doubt about how it is going to turn out in order to make audiences feel invested in the story.

Just a thought, but what if PP didn’t “let” Wendy go. What if he already brainwashed her as an agent and it was all an act, so she acted frightened, and Bae volunteered to go. You have to go willingly, and there was no other way he would go. Then when it returned, it took her brothers and her back.

Glasses does make sense for a codename for a grown up darling brother, but not sure of keychain. Guess they could just make up a random word too once in awhile :P.

I feel the opposite about SB, I think it ought to end up being their new home in the long run, but fairly securely in its own pocket universe, with very limited threat of the outside world once THO is destroyed. It’s not an issue really for the Harry Potter universe, the idea being the real world doesn’t want to see so it doesn’t see.

Either way I do agree with Phee that a return to SB would give some space before new land overload, but at the same time, it could be tied to Neal and he might end up in Oz not NL. I think it would be a waste of his character’s experiences in NL not to have him end up there to be part of the confrontation with Pan.

I also think though not quite as obvious ties to Oz, the green in Neal’s apartment might have been a nod to the Emerald City of Oz, and his experience as a thief, maybe a conman, could have tied in with the Wizard who pretended to be more than he was.

Of course that could go back to Whale, who maybe pretends to be less than he is…but I don’t know they’re doing much with Whale.

One more tie to Oz: Dorothy’s Uncle Henry and Auntie Em (though it is short for Emily not Emma….).

There’s a few reasons I don’t like either “little rumple lost boy” or Peter Pan is his brother theories, but together it’s just too much I think. That’s not a reason they wouldn’t do it though, just a reason I don’t like the idea.

Then again, if they’re casting his father, then they have to find someone to play little Rumple anyway.

Now maybe they want to show little Rumple just to establish that he really understands where PP comes from, that sense of being abandoned so young that you barely remember the people you thought were supposed to love you.

    I like that POM.

So Felix’s feelings of anger could be exploited against PP. Excellent. (Doing my best impression of Montgomery Burns from Simpsons).

Here are my top dozen headcannons for the next season. It will be funny to see how wrong these all are!

    1) Rumple uses Emma falling in to vanish on the group, perhaps even telling them he is not going to help because they’re slowing him down. He’s there to honor Bae, to get Henry, they are on their own.

    2) Charming saves his little girl (yay!) This incident establishes a bonding moment for not just her and the Charmings, but also all the Jr5 as they all worked together to save Emma. Notice, Rumple is left out of this “team” feeling.

    3) Neal and Mulan travel to the Dark Castle after he’s healed to see if there might be some magic to help them. Phillip and Aurora besides helping each other “rest” stay behind in a safe place where someone can assist with her burns, if she can try to get into the red-room to contact Charming/Snow/Henry.

4)Tinkerbell — Tink befriends Regina when they meet each other after both running away from what they are supposed to do (Regina marry the king, Tink all her FGM in training duties like Nova). They talk and become friends. Rumple doesn’t want Regina having a friend, so he tricks Tinkerbell and she ends up trapped in NL, where she meets Hook. Hook tricks her, steals her dust, and that’s how he leaves NL.

5)Hook– I’d really like it if he tried to rescue Bae in the past. The rescue doesn’t work, because his crew mutiny’s against him hoping to avoid PP. It is traditional I think in the PP story that the crew mutinies. I think Smee instigates it, but in true Hook–Smee fashion he kisses Hook’s boots enough when Hook meets him in SB later, plus being useful to steal stuff, that Hook doesn’t hold it against him. That’s also traditional I think, that Smee messes stuff up but Hook never really considers him disloyal. Smee was the one who put Milah’s picture where Bae could find it. He wanted Bae off his ship, because Smee was scared of PP, and Smee called the Lost Ones, so Hook was surprised when they showed up. The purpose of this is that Hook’s crew is trapped in NL and only Smee (who claims not to have been part of the mutiny even though he started it) and Hook escape back to FTL.

    6) Hook’s crew are in NL so they can have some “good guys” on our JR5 team die, so that we can see that PP is a threat. Can’t be killing off the Jr5, but we need to see the danger is real to people helping our team, not just foot soldiers for the other side like GOAT.

    7) Tink part 2: PP befriends her after Hook tricks her. This time, its her turn to trick Hook. See #6, that’s where we need cannon fodder. Because of her friendship with Regina, Tink has a change of heart about helping PP any more, maybe the two of them realized they were both tricked by Rumple, but together they save the Jr5.

8)Rumple’s doll is something to do with Bae, and Rumple visited NL before and Bae ran away, something PP told Rumple he would do. PP needles Rumple that no one loves him in a flashback, not his son, not his wife etc. Rumple gets angry but cannot touch PP. PP makes a deal with Rumple giving him the curse.

9)Ariel is a portal jumper with the trident. She and Eric were split up by Regina in the Ursula role. There will be a giant magic squid/Krakken, that makes the magic ink that Regina wants so she can adjust the curse to add a fail-safe. Ariel will help lead Neal back to the others.

10)The giant squid is very ancient. It toppled the ship that Hook’s brother Liam led, just after Liam betrays Hook in a way that leaves him stranded, but Hook ends up rescued by pirates.

    11) PP’s magic works on belief, not emotion. That is why he can shut down magic with fake science about heavy metals, since he taps into GOAT’s belief that science is more powerful. It also means he can be a threat to our group, since Regina and Rumple’s magic works on negative emotions for the most part.

    12) Hope is magic too, and by restoring that to everyone else, Snow, David’s and Henry’s faith that good will win, that love is strength, will help defeat PP even when Rumple and Regina’s magic fails.

(bonus 13th headcannon: somehow, someway, exactly what PP wants is leading to Oz. )

    Phee, I agree.

Traditionally in stories a crystal ball doesn’t even require a second one. So I think he could see a glimpse.

Ohh horrible thoughts for shipping based on promo pics:
What if Neal sees Emma drown in the crystal ball, or sees her with Hook talking, but cannot hear what is being said? Maybe he thinks Hook captured her. Or maybe he saw Henry already with PP, and then he sees Hook with Emma, and he realizes Hook is helping. That’s not so horrible but I guess it depends on what he thinks about how Emma is reacting to Hook.

They used the line soul-mate with Cora and Rumple too, so sometimes they say things to build it up in media but it is not what fans thought.
