Yes, she had wings until she became full sized and then they were gone. I suspect it is similar to TInk, when she’s full sized she won’t have wings, but when she shrinks they pop out.

I was going to point out I didn’t say that but Jo pointed it out already, but I totally agree with what she said !
I wish the quote feature could be fixed, but I realize there’s many kinks to work out of the new system.

I am not sure about FGM being ranked higher than Blue, who seemed to lead all the fairies. It is unclear I guess.

well, it’s all just rumors at this point, isn’t it? We’re all speculating and other fans have every bit as much right to think of ways consistent with their hopes for the show as we do.

Now that Eric cannot be Hook, I assume there’ll be some who jump off the ship, but I am still up for it being a mix of Andersen’s unrequited love and Disney. After reading about Andersen’s inspiration for the story, I am also totally up for them to make a twist for a LGBT character here, though I prefer it not be Ariel merely for Hookriel sake. If it is Ariel though, then that’s cool too.

I’ve also read some who are convinced ERIC is Regina’s love, and that Ariel will only be a 1 episode character! Kind of the inverse of Hookriel….it’s I don’t even know the ship name.

If Hook were Ariel’s son, then he might hate mermaids just like Red was afraid of werewolves without knowing she was one. I’m ok with that. There’s nothing illogical (other than timeline headaches really, but if Ariel is immortal or went to NL, that cures that I guess…).

But right now, the idea of Hookriel appeals so much more to me. I even like the fanvids with animated HOok and Ariel together !

Especially if she does the little snap and head shake thing while saying it!

But I agree, I could see Regina flipping out about seeing her old “useless” fairy godmother and that maybe could lead to that scene in the Promo. I was wondering why Emma might say to Regina “get out of the way” because it didn’t make sense why Regina would be in the way of getting Henry. But if Regina doesn’t trust Tink, and Emma does trust that Hook’s right that Tink can help them, that could lead to that scene. Regina would say “NO, not that useless idiot’ (that more like Regina?) and Emma would say “If she can help us, I don’t care what she did to you in the past, so..” then the rest of the get out of the way line.

Hm ok….so tink is probably not connected to the RH mess then.

So question, is Hook seeking out Tink to lead them to PP camp in the past or the present? I’m thinking it must be present, unless Tink goes back and forth between the realms. I think the pic of her with Regina would be before Tink has been to NL at all. So this goes back to my “newcommer” Tink idea, that Tink ends up in NL centuries after Hook and Bae, and ends up helping one or the other or both escape. She’s a troublemaker, not Peter’s ally exactly, and may not even be friends with PP.

Or she’s his agent…and been manipulating things from his end. I can’t decide!

Wand looks greener to me, but it was a clear wand right? So its against a green dress.

I don’t know…but yes, no jellyfish dress! Well I think the idea she is her fairygodmother makes sense. Maybe the reason she is banished is she is off with her own love, and all that stuff where Cora kills Daniel happens?

Did we decide if FGM of Cinderella had the same or different wand? Wondering if there’s a link between FGM and Tink at all.

I think they do a lot of things for reasons, but NOT everything. Especially when it comes to marketing, and especially because sometimes they change the plot direction.
This is more or less how TV writers operate, in the middle between a master plan, with room to embroider in details that might even change significant things. As proof, look at Hook, Belle, Ruby, Hatter and Mirror. These characters roles changed due to various things related to actor availability, fan reaction and copyright issues. The entire S2 storyline was reworked when they got rights to NL, and Ruby’s role became smaller and Hook’s bigger. Belle was added in due to the actress being available for more than they thought and positive fan reaction. Hatter and Mirror have unresolved plot lines that have to hang until the talented actors can portray them–unless they want to recast like they did with RobinHood (and they said they do not want to recast, meaning, there is room to move the story around). So some of this moving around means to me, that some things just happen in the story and not every detail has significant meaning.

I do think the use of “Savior” for Emma is largely a marketing handle, just like putting Wizard on Rumple, it totally is trying to create familiar roles so people can relate to the story and the characters. At the same time, I think Emma is not done with her role as Savior, so we may see that again in promotion. It is who she is in the story, the main protagonist moving the plot forward.

Every ship will have it supporters who cross the line and the worst seem to hang out on tumblr. I understand why some people do not like Hookriel, and don’t mind explaining why I do. I don’t even mind if people have questions or point out the little things that poke holes in our headcannon version–I will revise to a new one, until I ship it in an alternate universe! I don’t read fics too much, but I enjoy headcannon crafting and fan vids for several conflicting ships.

If the show does put Ariel with Eric, I will probably like how they do it, but I’ll sniff a little on what might have been in my own imagination.

There are a lot more related discussions in the spoiler sections, though even with search restored it is hard to find some of the things we’ve batted around.

We’ve speculated about Pan’s shadows that it could be as RumplesGirl (RG) said that Pan rips them to keep NL young, or some thing where he needs the tears of children to make magic. I don’t think he takes hearts, but his shadow ripping may prove to work much the same far as controlling someone. Some speculated maybe the Shadow is a separate entity that took over Pan (Girlshitscar I think linked a story by Hans Christian Andersen, the author of the original Little Mermaid) about a shadow that does just this). I think there’s a book by Dave Barry that AngieBelle mentioned that runs with a theme related to shadows and Peter Pan, but I’m forgetting what the idea for OUAT was based on it. Anyway, the shadow magic is something new, we all seem to think, something unique to Pan.

I’ve thrown out a theory that Pan’s magic runs on belief, rather than emotion, and that’s how he can shut down magic like the Dragon or Regina (he harnessed Tamara’s and Greg’s belief in the superiority of science to actually perform magic).

As for Emma, I do not believe her job as “Savior” is done, because we have not hit the “final battle” of the prophecy. I don’t think we will until the end of the series. Also I do not believe children of “true love” exhibit magical powers automatically since Charming is one, we believe He has no magic. We think Snow is one too, and she does not. One of the writers said we shouldn’t expect all true love babies to have powers, that Emma’s special nature is not just due to her parent’s love. So I do not think we know either way whether Henry is or is not, but I do not think it will matter ever. (Other than for shipping I suppose, but not to the main plot).

What we do know is that Emma is special as part of the prophecy and the curse that affected ALL the enchanted lands, not just their home. Rumple took some of her DNA. She isn’t just “true love incarnate” but the curse is tied to her.

I think it does seem likely that the wand might end up being TB’s. So perhaps the other FGM got it when Tink is banished to NL? Then RH steals it, and TB gets it back, and as part of that Marian and baby Tamara escape the curse, but RH is left behind? Of course, then how did Tink get back from NL to meet RH?

There was one spoiler and speculation (not spoiler) that suggested that if Tink is the type not to let slights go (the spoiler) that it would be Hook (speculation). I agree with that, especially if we find out he’s seeking her out now to take them to PP’s camp.

He probably flirted with her and she’s P’O’d at him because he used her in some way, perhaps to get out of NL.

Sounds like she isn’t entirely on PP’s side either.

So I am thinking maybe Tink was not in NL when Bae and Hook first arrived, but she gets banished there later on, around the time Hook leaves NL. Maybe she is how he left.

Well it could be that too KPercyman, absolutely–the writers have said they want to be inclusive and supportive, and one more reason I like the show.
