ParticipantI love this, and agree, they have to say checkmate at the end.
Now I want a chess set inspired by their version. I love looking at different chess sets, and imagining character based versions.

ParticipantIf they put Felix with Regina, I will beg someone do some video editing and make a shipper video to that song Stacey’s Mom by Fountain’s of Wayne.
“You know, I’m not the little boy that I used to be
I’m all grown up now, baby can’t you seeHeny’s mom has got it goin’ on
She’s all I want and I’ve waited for so long
Henry, can’t you see you’re just a pawn for PP
I know it might be wrong but I’m in love with Henry’s mom”“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. ParticipantThere is a link between Robin Hood and Arthurian legend, in T.H. White’s Sword in the Stone, which Disney adapted. Perhaps they might leave how Tamara got out as a mystery, (or the baby and Marian if you aren’t on the Tamara is daughter train), only to reveal later it was Merlin and then leave why and what he wants a mystery.

ParticipantI think they chose Phoenix for the name symbolism, absolutely. I’m not sure in what way Emma is “reborn” but I suppose you could say going to jail set her on a new path towards being the savior. Definitely the Henry Sr/Jr. thing was sort of a rebirth (though not literally).
There could be some thing with PP’s reason for needing Henry, being that Shadow PP needs to replace himself with Henry’s shadow to be the new Shadow PP, so Henry himself has to die. Or something like that.

ParticipantLizard reminds me that in Alice in Wonderland there is Bill the Lizard that gets stuck in the chimney in the White Rabbit’s house.
Though not sure where they’d go with that, pretty minor character that seemed uninteresting.
The 1926 animated film The Adventures of Prince Achmed (the earliest surviving animated feature film) combined the story of Aladdin with that of the prince. In this version the princess Aladdin pursues is Achmed’s sister and the sorcerer is his rival for her hand. The sorcerer steals the castle and the princess through his own magic in this version and then sets a monster to attack Aladdin, from which Achmed rescues him. Achmed then informs Aladdin he requires the lamp to rescue his own intended wife, Princess Pari Banou, from the demons of the Island of Wak Wak. They convince the Witch of the Fiery Mountain to defeat the sorcerer, and then all three heroes join forces to battle the demons.
Interesting, we have the boiling sea, and a Witch of the Fiery Mountain (Red queen?).

ParticipantI think the Tamara is RH’s daughter and Marian died thing seems solid. The missing piece is how did Tamara escape the curse and grow up hating magic? The notion that a fairy, even a bad one had the means to portal hop seems odd given the extraordinary efforts of Rumpel.
Maybe Tamara was taken to NL, then to the world without magic, a pawn from her birth without even knowing it?
I like the idea that Marian aged extra-fast so it wasn’t her grandmother, but her mother in the picture. I also like the idea the lady found Tamara and raised her.
Also looking up Robin Hood myths, they’re quite old and go back to many poems and myths, including one about a Queen who holds an archery contest, that Robin wins for her. Sounds like a good plot for a flashback romance with Regina maybe.

ParticipantGinny meant Tiny not Nova I’d think.
