ParticipantI suppose they could do that. They could do anything. But given he is a guest star, and so is she, that it would be like Grumpy/Nova part two in a way. Not sure where the conflict comes in and how they meet.
Besides it is the Hookriel thread, not the hook Ariel up thread!

ParticipantI think GOAT will be ambushed by PP, and PP will “save” Henry.
I think they will do teen hook with Colin playing him, but it will be in a scene with the pirates, after his family is dead. They are not, but Hook is led to believe it.
But I would like it if instead of sob story bad dad , we get a story where young Hook chose to be a pirate, perhaps selling out a harsh captain who was just trying to keep order. I doubt they will go this route:
http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Captain_HookMuch of Hook’s past hadn’t been revealed until Jake and the Never Land Pirates, where it is revealed that the captain had a rather miserable childhood. As a young buccaneer, he was trained in the ways of a pirate by his mother, Mama Hook, so that he would one day become a feared captain, much like her. However, according to Mama Hook, Captain Hook was a somewhat pitiful pirate during his training, and seemed hopeless for many years. It was also revealed that he was heavily ostracized by others as a child, as he explains to Mr. Smee several times throughout the series, resulting in him spending most of his childhood hated and alone. These are all prime factors in the reasons for Captain Hook’s undeniable cruelty. It also makes Captain Hook one of the most tragic Disney villains.

ParticipantHe is going to be the last Dark One I would think, but how that curse ends will create another problem because he is not going to die.

ParticipantWhat if young hook is a baby, and Pirates come and kill Liam and then they find his son? We didn’t see casting sides when they did young baby bae did we?

ParticipantIt is possible it would be a small part like Tiny, played by the other J. Garcia.
The article though does not say “at most” it says “at least” so I am hoping there will be a lot more. Anton was fun, but not a beloved character the way Ariel is, and so I am hoping they have something really big in store for her part.
The main hurdle to her of course is simply the large size of the cast. On the other hand, if you look at Lost, they had a core group of just over 8 characters but added several significant characters in later seasons, as well as increasing some peripheral ones’ importance to the plot. We know Ruby won’t be around as much, and in a symbolic way, Ariel could step into the “wild friend”/animal bride archetype fairytale.
I think the structure of two mini-seasons is deliberate as the writers want to get a look at how ratings are doing before mapping out the back half of the season.
Contracts can always be re-negotiated or may already contain options to bring her back for more stories and such.

ParticipantI’m glad there were so many positive messages too. I’m kind of worried she might get some flack because there’s just been a lot of negative fans complaining at Adam on twitter, and apparently some people were mad she wasn’t a teen. Not like the other princesses were teens either.

ParticipantSorcerer’s apprentice huh….probably just a nod to fantasia but I wonder if there is a hint in there.

ParticipantIt is official! Joanna Garcia is Ariel!
I like the idea that Ariel goes with them. They need to bring some twist versus Tiny, who afterall loved Human objects, was fascinated and was the youngest sibling.
Now it is a funny coincidence that Jorge Garcia played him, and a different J. Garcia plays Ariel
