What if Hook’s dad is in the navy, and has family on board ship. Pirates attack. Killian grows up with the pirates.

Then in present day, Devin is a boy who is just in NL watching/befriending Henry and tells him about Bae having escaped when Pirates broke in for him.

Well they put dark hair on Liam but not specified on Devin.

There is a hint in the original Barrie play that the Darlings father was a lost boy. At least, there is a line,
“The fact that George Darling recognizes the shape of the cloud in the form of a ship from his childhood suggest that he was once a Lost Boy himself, but left the group and grew up.” on the Disney wiki.

Could George Darling have been a captain in the English Royal Navy?

Parent and childen do not have an equal relationship.  Children are not as emotionally mature as adults.  Parents should understand this.  Yes, Regina has had an awful life, but so have other characters, like Bae, Emma and Snow.   They did not try to curse an entire realm to “win” to make sure everyone else suffered and was unhappier.  They’ve made mistakes, sure.  They aren’t serial killers.

They aren’t emotionally abusing Henry by trying to make him think he is crazy.  They don’t terrorize him by trying to kill people he cares about.  That is not being strict.  That is being psychopathic.

Regina was not just “a little” paranoid.  She was not completely sweet and wonderful after the curse, her treatment of Owen shows us that, but we saw it in how she treated not only Emma, but other people like Katherine.  If that’s how she treats her “friends”, hate to be her enemy–oops, everyone is her enemy! Oh wait, there’s one person who isn’t–that’s right, Henry.

Henry isn’t being awful to Regina.  Even when he is scared of her and what she will do, he ultimately wants her to change.  He is coping the best he can in an extremely crazy situation.  A situation that Regina largely set in motion.  Yes, Rumpel and Cora manipulated her/abused her and all that, but she had choices, and she made them in a way that resulted in a lot of pain and suffering for others, including her son.

If she just gets a new child, like he’s some kind of dog who is acting up and she’ll replace him with one more loyal because she’ll do a better job isolating him from loving anyone else….then I suggest she get a daughter.  With long golden hair and put her in a tower.  Visit her once a year, after making her lower her hair and climbing it.

Ah, but it is magic, and it does not have to follow the rules of science and genetics.  Even if it does, some things are caused by environment, not genetics, particularly the in utero environment, can have a huge impact.  We do not know if say there was some True Love interacting with the impervious spell that Rumpel put on Snow that caused Emma to be what she became.

From a writing and story standpoint, making Henry the overpowered kid hero trope could be very cheesy.

Henry is Regina’s child too, and she loves him as well as she could love any child, but she is a very messed up person.  I do not think some other child is going to fix what is wrong with her and I would hate the storyline if it implies that Henry having other parents is the reason Regina cannot love Henry as “her own”.  He is “her own”, but she is not his only parent.  Her inability to understand this is a problem.  Emma originally did not want custody of Henry, she was just worried about him.  For very good reason.  Things escalated to the point that Emma felt she had to claim Henry as her son too, and finally to the point of saying to Regina that he was not hers.  Henry corrected Emma eventually.  If Emma thinks Regina won’t put their lives in danger, she was open to letting her back into Henry’s life.  But right now, she really should not have care of any child, unless it is evil Pan and by care we mean “take care” in a sinister way.

If Regina finds some cute tyke and replaces Henry it would be awesome if they are trying to show how evil and soulless she is.   It would be like “fine you keep that one, I’ll just get a new one.”  If they mean it as, she has changed and as an act of compassion she opens her house to all the displaced kids, like the old woman who lived in a shoe, then that is a different story.   But she should not stop wanting to be a mother to Henry, just stop wanting to be his only family.

If anything, love that is constantly challenged by events can make you suffer as much as anything.

Cornhusk, huh.  It has been said that there are Stephen King references.

I think he hates magic the same way that Neal does–it is not magic itself, but the price of it, the harm of the selfish or cruel use of magic, yet both have enough hope to see there is good magic in the world.  When August “died” Henry shouted for PDF…er, BF.  He was not anti-magic then, or when it came time for his mom to deactivate the bomb.  Neal looks fascinated not repulsed when Emma casts spells, and he volunteers to sail the magical Jolly Roger.
