That doll pair works too, if Rumple made a set of dolls for Bae following Milah’s “death” by pirates when Bae was 5. They cut that and the Rumpel dad scene, so it is possible for them to “redo” either one, where Rumple gets left or where Bae is grieving a parent.

I think they should make them sparkly green, it stands out, ties to the Emerald City, and the portal colors.
Also, back when a lot of us were on the Nealfirepan train, we noted how green his apartment was. Well, knowing he is not PP though he had been to NL, maybe part of his journey escaping NL led through OZ or his path home will lead there?

I think Phee is right, it is damage control. Though if he is around in a Regina episode and that we are getting the Henry adoption story, maybe he meets her in only his cursed identity. Or he is an agent of PP!

I agree it makes more sense Rumpel went to NL to look for curse ingredients, not Bae. I don’t think he had to have gone as a little kid to know about NL if there were tales about it.

I think the portal is choppy, and Emma is standing under the bottom of the sail. Not a good spot. I could also buy clumsy David. Either way, Daddy charming feels!
I also suggested that Rumpel uses the distraction or causes it, because he intends to go off on his own.

The reason PP does not mind if Rumple is in his territory is that Henry is all Pan really cares about, and he knows that is why Rumple is there. It is a turn back now threat, not a real offer of peace. It would be like Regina saying to Emma, you can stay in SB, as long as you stay away from Henry. Or like she did say, I am not worried because I know you are not serious enough to stay, you never stay anywhere.

So one thing in the panel is, A&E say something like “It’s the jungle, and the Heart of Darkness,”. I can’t remember how it was phrased but immediately it put me in mind of the Joseph Conrad classic novel, “Heart of Darkness.” It might inspire some themes, in a similar way to Lord of the Flies that has been mentioned as a potential influence of the dynamics.
It reminds me of a throw-away line in Tiny, that humans took beans and exploited other worlds, as that novel is all about colonization/civilization versus natives….perhaps some tie in to the PP story with Tiger Lily?
