ParticipantI agree they should have mentioned Belle. The point really is the emotional ties that bind these people together. There’s a point where a relationship isn’t just a fling, a thing, a passing experience in your life but one of the defining ones. Where you become each other’s family. Tragedy may pass and break that bond, death/divorce/break-ups, but in terms of understanding the show, there is a world of difference between what Rumpel had with Cora and what he has with Belle. Hook and Milah lived together. They made plans for their future together. It was not just a fling between them and it is not for Belle and Rumpel either. Yet they mentioned the affair of Cora and Rumpel and David’s fake marriage to Katherine ?
As I said, Disney Jr. narrator.

ParticipantThe family tree segment also said that James married Katherine, and don’t think they actually got married did they? Should have just said were arranged to be married, before they both broke it off to be with their true loves. GG also said “step-father” instead of adopted father. On Hook and Milah they should have just said ran away and were in love.
But you know most of all? They should have had a different narrator. The girl narrating sounded too much like the voice for Disney Jr shows and this is no show for that age range!

ParticipantEither way, I think Rumpel is not around to help.
What if Rumpel pushes Charming over to create a distraction to keep the others from following ? We know he has magic, but so does Regina. He could hav also just popped out before.
The rough storm like portal would be enough to knock someone overboard, and it did not look like Emma had chosen a good spot (under the sail? those move!).
So either works.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. ParticipantTrue none of the romances go straight to happy endings.

ParticipantI think there might be a scene of the two ladies rescuing him then, so their part takes longer to film. Then maybe however they rescued him would lead into Neal setting off on a journey to get home?

ParticipantI think she would be great. If they are not doing Hookriel, and want a younger Ariel to bolster teen watchers, well that might fit with the teens in NL, but not so much with age range of most of the main cast.
She’d sort of definitely be one-off then, not a potential recurring or regular player. We’ve had a lot of princesses. Wouldn’t you think our collection is complete? (cue the music)…” but I want more….”Given the way Aurora/Mulan/Phillip/Cinderella/”Thomas” played was not very satisfying but I was ok with it, because they cannot expand every fairy tale or even every Disney Princess in the ‘stable’. It is like the Disney Parks in that, they don’t have a complete story-ride or live show that does the full story for every princess. Off-hand, I recall Ariel, Belle and Snow.

ParticipantI just saw this.
There is a picture of Gold in his shop holding a ball that looks a lot like the ball Bae had. I think these are clips of scenes in season 1, yet they still chose to use a baby-blanket we had never seen before in kicking off the “sentimental object of Bae’s” storyline. I think Gold would have looked pretty silly hugging that ball the entire time in the airport/car too. So even though it was planted and available, the writers couldn’t do the storyline they wanted for character development with the ball object.

ParticipantThat Jefferson hat example came up and it was an exception, to reach and grab an object. In terms of the writers’ thinking, that was still not characters going into a past time and changing history, as in their minds the apple winked out of relevance when it rolled away. Maybe they should have thought of the butterfly effect or something, but they are writing magic not science. So we will just have to suspend disbelief.
If you need a semi-logical sci-fi-magic explanation, Jefferson and Regina’s magic is only strong enough to avoid paradoxes and isolate any and timeline ripple effects for a very small object like an apple. The writers in general don’t want to (right now) tangle the timelines in general

ParticipantShe does not seem to have any competing shows, could be. She has been cast on ABC shows before.

ParticipantAny chance Belle was ever in NL like Wendy? They don’t keep girls there, what if Belle has met Bae when she was a girl but never knew who he was?
