I said in chat, but what if Regina did not curse Marian but is the reason she was cursed?  We know at one point that  Regina met Mally and that they were “friends” for several years.  That they traded curses.

What if Regina revealed a crush on Robin to Mally, and Mally wanted to help Regina (in her twisted careful what you wish for way, Marian ends up cursed by Mally who is in the original Sleeping beauty tale, a bad fairy.  Someone told RH where to find the wand to cure Marian, what if that was Regina?  Also, Regina does not have to be the one to kill Tamara.  Who still may not be RH’s daughter, and besides Tam went way off the reservation as she would have killed RH too and kidnapped Regina’s son.  I don’t see Tam being RH daughter as a ship killer, only if Regina killed /cursed Marian then kills Tamara too.

Another notion, what if Marian’s curse was Robin’s price for his magic bow–nothing to do with Regina, but she helped him to get a solution (though her aim was to annoy Rumpel).

It would be a nice parallel and Daddy Charming moment, to how Snow just did not think but jumped in after Emma last season.

Or, it could tie back to Rumple having magic connected to names, and Rumple might realize Bae is alive when Bae says his true name.  So at first if he says Neal it may not trigger but when he says he is Baelfire to someone it does?

I know we talked about  Charming falling in and meeting the mermaids before.   I remember saying that Rumpel might be like you’re on your own, I am here for Henry. Then the others scramble to save Charming.  I think Regina has a moment, but she realizes she needs his help.

I like the idea Hook is like it is too late, and Snow is like no, we will save him.  I think Emma might dive in to get him.

Are we leaving NL–I thought it would feature in both halves.

In TV writing the writers are constrained.  They have an outline, but many details change.  We did not see the shawl in Desperate souls or when Bae went in the portal.  It took all  the way to Manhattan for us to see the backstory, and we were merely told that it had been Bae’s when in the Outsider Rumpel dumped potion on it.  They did not go back to a prop we saw in the season 1 scenes.

Also they could not use the shawl as it was in Rumpel’s hands minutes before Henry is kidnapped. The idea is this is an object that PP has had that Rumpel has not seen in a long time.  The ball may not have seemed unique enough, and the story of how this toy came to be might have tempted them to  sacrifice the foreshadowing of the object as it did with the shawl.

Also, I had this thought–what if Rumpel taught Bae how to make a doll, and this doll is one Neal made for Henry in SB?  Rumpel would not have seen it before but he would recognize the style of the toy.   Rumpel goes from smashing things to carefully placing the chipped cup away when grieving Belle.  I feel he goes from kill mode to weepy in a parallel here.  It is not that he is reminded of some other trauma, but it changes his mood.

I could barely even write the scenario out as a what if for me, and had to think of a movie characters to distance me, but that’s what I meant exactly Slurpeez and you put it so much better.

Also a good point about the names and the running thing.  I’d like there to be a reason August typed rather than said Baelfire.   It was just so silly dramatic.  Bae says his name to Wendy and to Hook.  A name is an obvious question to ask, but it also made it obvious that he was not yet using a false name.

So here’s a thought (pushing the weepy stuff away)–what if Rumpel can hear Baelfire’s name if it is said to or by Bae?  What happens if Neal wakes up in the FTL, introduces himself as Neal but at some later point reveals his original name, and that is when Rumpel realizes Bae is not dead?  Like right at a moment when Rumpel is about to do something suicidal to rescue Henry.

Me too–the live tweets are nice but it is fun to see the actual reactions and words used.  I don’t mind not seeing the clip, but footage of the panel is not equivalent to being there, potentially able to ask a question.  The people who go still get enough out of the experience, and lucky AngieBelle that she was able to go!

I guess the texas panel was never fully released anyway.

I think if no new characters it is unlikely we would get some Rumple as a boy story.

I still think Bae’s toy is more likely as it it would not be a random toy.  I agree it would be better if we had seen the toy before, for foreshadowing, but it could work as a lead in to a scene of Bae as a toddler and Rumpel making him the toy.   The line itself helps explain the emotion–it is funny how you think you have the grief all bottled up and something small brings it out.  Part of my reasoning here is that I get sentimental about things, and obviously Rumpel is the type to do the same (chippedcup, shawl), he botttles it up then the object will uncork the grief and sadness.

Have you ever seen Toy Story? Toys can mean a lot. Toy Story 3 highlighted the way our toys become symbols of our lost childhood, and the passage of time.  This makes me weepy, but I could totally picture Andy’s mom losing it if Andy had died and she found Woody in a thrift store.

In the second one, the boy’s mother argues with a man willing to buy the boy’s doll Woody when Woody accidentally ends up on the garage sale.    In the last one an-off-to-college Andy wants to keep Woody, his doll, with him.  He does not want to give the rest of the core gang away.  So he tries to put them in the attic.  In the end, he turns them all, even Woody, over to a little girl.  I cried and I know I was not the only one.  .

Again, I totally agree it would have more impact if we already saw that the straw doll was Bae’s Woody, but it still works otherwise.  And bonus points to the writers if the do work in a Toy story reference with the doll being dressed like the equivalent of a sheriff in FTL of the time.

I think it is similar amounts of squick but the writers are obviously comfortable with some squick (Corumple, looking at you).

After seeing VCF’s cute poster of Finding Henry, and thinking of the movie Finding Nemo, I thought about a character suggested on a previous Regina LI thread when people were just brainstorming random characters.

    Captain Nemo…..

    ”

Captain Nemo (in Latin Nobody), also known as Prince Dakkar, is a fictional character invented by the French science fiction author Jules Verne. Nemo appears in two of Verne’s novels, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (1870) and The Mysterious Island (1874), and makes a cameo appearance in Verne’s play Journey Through the Impossible (1882).

Nemo, one of the most famous antiheroes in fiction, is a mysterious figure. The son of an Indian Raja, he is a scientific genius who roams the depths of the sea in his submarine, the Nautilus, which was built on a deserted island. Nemo tries to project a stern, controlled confidence, but he is driven by a thirst for vengeance and a hatred of imperialism (particularly the British Empire). He is also wracked by remorse over the deaths of his crew members and even by the deaths of enemy sailors.”

    That’s from the wiki description.

Any chance he might “surface” in Neverland?  I wonder how many new characters they might add to the story.
