What if the person who drew Henry’s picture is the same one who made the book, and it is a character we will find out at the back half of season 3?  Someone from Oz?  So that’s why they can’t say, it is going to be a plot point, but just not one we will see all that soon.  Also, if they get bad ratings this year (nooo!) they may do the second half of the season differently if they are worried it is the last year, than if everything looks good and they feel confident of running 5 for syndication.

These threads do get long!  I just didn’t want to be misunderstood as excusing either of them, though I do think their wrongs are not the same.

At the time Greg said things to Regina, it was not his plan to kill her family–nor is he doing  all of it out of revenge/retaliation, just the torture was about that.  He has delusions about his mission to save the “real world”  from evil magic creatures.  I see it as evil to act on orders to kill an entire town and kidnap a boy without questioning the goals of bosses who would order such methods. Perhaps he might have questioned his orders if he had less grief and rage, and perhaps he still will.   Perhaps Tamara will as well, but the audience kind of has an angry mob demanding justice with a pitchfork feel about her, and do not want to see her reform or anything like that.  Since Regina, Hook and Rumpel are too core to be killed off, we are hungry as an audience to see other villains/baddies get what is coming to them.  (They really dropped the ball on George too).

If Tink had a hand in Regina’s adoption of Henry, that could connect her in a way to multiple characters.

Question here though, what did they say exactly and how much is the reporter interpreting? No direct quote given, but at CC they did not say on the ship but panel.  Did they confirm “she has met Hook, but it is not  her only connection”  and then the reporter just extrapolated that the other connection is on the ship?

Demileto, I don’t think you saw the whole context.  I started by saying I don’t think Regina should kill Greg as she killed his father and at a time when he was already disturbed by the loss of his mother.  My original hope was that Regina would not consider Greg a satisfying favorite kill, that she might hesitate.

Phee then pointed out that Regina likely does not see it that way.  Her warning Greg to leave in Granny’s was as close to warm and Fuzzy Regina as she is capable of being with someone who (in her messed up mind) rejected her.  I do not apologize or excuse the wrongness of her, or him in their actions towards each other.  Yes, Greg indirectly led to Regina’s son losing his father (and he directly set up a situation that would have killed her son’s entire family, including her) but I doubt Regina feels outrage about the rest of Henry’s family.  She was going to kill them too, remember.  Regina’s level of empathy is still vastly underdeveloped compared to her own ego and issues.  She couldn’t point out his hypocrisy without revealing her own.

I don’t think either one has any love lost, but what I feel as an audience member is that Regina should not “win” even though his retaliation took on a larger scale to what she did to him personally.  Someone else could kill him. He could die tragically, he could get shot by Tamara, these are things I have suggested.  Even being killed by PP offhand when they show up to illustrate how cruel and boss PP is.  The one way I don’t think Greg should be killed is as if Regina is the hero finally smacking down the villain.  She is not the hero in this situation.  Neither is he.

Good point Phee, that Regina is emotional and Greg did literally burn any bridge there (with electricity!).   I could see her wanting to kill him.

You know, it would be kind of funny if Hook ran over Greg with the JR (by accident upon entering NL), seeing as how Greg ran over Hook with his car.   Then maybe Regina refuses to use her magic to save him, unless Tamara tells them where Henry is.   She doesn’t budge, because she wants no part of magic even to save Greg and then he dies.   Then Regina kills Tamara because she’s useless, and the others get upset with her, because they wanted information.

I like the idea of Belle finding the book.

Maybe it will be shades of splash, they break into PP den and find he is holding Ariel captive to do experiments on her magic, and he has a whole lab for making technomagic all steampunky stuff, like the taser.  But she knows where they moved Henry so she joins up with them.

Where is August/Pinocchio? Theories about his role?

That thread in case there is more than one on August, if one wants to see the context of the original tweet asked.

Hm fascinating that those were actual symbols rather than made-up squiggles.

On the other hand, there are so many characters they can use out there, I’m not sure they are worried about wasting one.  They do need storylines that let their main actors carry the storytelling, though guest stars are great and part of the fun that with a known character they might also get a known actor, like Barbara Hersey/Rose McGowen were brought in for Cora old and young.
