ParticipantGeorge being the daddy would work. So its kind of a tie to Charming, who’s twin brother was adopted by George :P.
What if the reason George wanted Charming/James is they were somewhat related to him to carry on the family lineage? Like, his half-brother’s kids or something?

ParticipantYou know, back before we had any spoilers for this Season3b, some of us just speculated wildly and shippily that maybe 3×14 would be a reunion between SF, as it would parallel Manhattan.
So now we know a little more about 3×14, I’m going to say what if that is still true, and Emma and Neal meat at the END of the episode, as a cliff-hanger sort of thing. They’re running around the woods, and looks like something happened to Charming, and the guy looming over Charming is as Phee says, is Neal. The most powerful thing is blood magic right? What if Zelena uses Rumple to reverse the curse through the Dark One powers, so its a cheat to achieving it as easier to “replicate” the curse just like Regina with the memory potion. Since Neal is blood related or because he was the secret purpose of the original curse, he is somehow spared losing his memories. He retains them. So he uses the method he used with August, summoning a pigeon to go to Hook. My question though is this: when and how? A pigeon crossing worlds is kind of whack, but a regular real world homing pigeon isn’t so odd. The one August used could have been just a normal homing pigeon so perhaps Neal knew Zelena’s plan before she did it, and sent the message and vial just before the curse hit (similar to how August was put in the wardrobe before it hit). The other thing about the hooded figure–maybe it IS August. What if the curse did reverse his aging thing, and now hes sort of restored? Originally Gepetto put August in the wardrobe as he worried he’d die if the curse took him to the land without magic, but no one really knew what would happen to him. They used the word “reboot” and sometimes with computers it is possible to restore lost files even when it seems they are gone. So if we run with “wooden robot” theory well who knows. Emma running into August in 3.14 would be a huge surprise, especially if it is intercut with scenes of Neal in the EF. That could feed into Emma hearing the rest of the story of how Neal left in 3.15 and the reunion could come later. As I said, in some ways much as I want Emma and Neal to interact, part of me says the later the better because it builds tension and makes it less likely they’ve resolved everything in his storyline.
Also, anyone catch the hopeful tone from Henry about asking if the Charmings knew his Dad? He doesn’t say “birth father” but dad, and so even thinking this guy set up his mother and let her rot in jail, that not every guy is going to be like that, its a curiously soft tone he has about the guy. It wasn’t said in a hostile way but a hopeful way.
So I don’t think they’re using memory-loss Henry as a plot device to do an end-run around the relationship with Henry and Neal.

Participant312: Alas I could only scavenge together enough for one dose of the memory potion. 313: There was a small vial of memory potion tied to its leg. Writing continuity glitch, or was he embellishing the story a bit in 312? Anyway, good to know how he got the message. My money is still on Neal having been the one who sent it.
I wonder if he tried to find more memory potion but couldn’t find any more knowing that he’d probably need 2 doses if the TLK long shot didn’t work on Emma. That might explain why he said he could only scavenge enough for 1 dose. Emma would know that he was lying either way if he embellished about how he got the potion.
I don’t think she would know, if he embellished in the sense of being dramatic but not telling a straight up lie. “I couldn’t find any more” is true whether you searched hard and didn’t find any or you didn’t really look but as you didn’t, well, you couldn’t find more.

ParticipantYes, Emma brought up Neal again! Plus, imagine if the walsh is a monkey story had not happened, and we just started with neal being a monkey? Somehow the fact Emma’s already crossed that bridge makes it less off-putting in a way. She already dated a monkey so if she wanted to date Neal and he gets cured of some curse to be one–well, no big deal. Her tone came off that way to me, that it wasn’t scaring her for life any more than any of the other super-crazy things she’s experienced.

ParticipantI think its kind of a side effect of what Walsh and other Winged monkeys are–they’re were-creatures, and its in their nature to turn others. Like it is with Vampires. Zelena doesn’t necessarily have to be depending on an army of minions for any purpose, but I do think it is kind of a side-effect but it does give her an edge. It helps her to keep people from escaping, gives her power over the town as magic does have a price. She can only bend Rumple or use the dagger with him (if she has it just yet) so far, and a troop of mindless monkeys might make policing her town easier. Makes it hard for people to shoot or attack them if they’re worried its their friends and still hoping to kill the Alpha one to cure everyone (if it works that way).
So she gains a set of servants to just order around and ones that are less likely to get slaughtered by the townsfolk.

ParticipantI am on the same page as a lot of you, and have more hope after tonight, but more than that, I ENJOYED this episode. The ship stuff was not at the fore front, and it had a very S1 vibe over all. Wicked is excellent as a villain, though I do hope she isn’t both Regina and Neal’s half-sister–but I am bracing for that. At least for SF–if she does turn out to be Neal’s sister, maybe she’d want to torture him too just like she is Regina, and hence, the Monkey in the middle.
I was happy there were things the “spoiler stalkers” didn’t know, like Red. How did they keep that on the down low? Gives me hope they kept other things quiet too you know? I’m still nervous about all the various possibilities but that’s how you’re supposed to feel in a drama. It would be boring if we were TOO SURE of everything coming alright in the end–the trick is to make us want that and to be totally unsure how that happens.

ParticipantI think trapped in Oz, trapped between worlds (a swap with Rumple essentially), turned into a monkey, are possibilities. Yes there is also the curse angle –but if Rumple is Zelena’s father, then she might want to make Neal suffer just as she is making her half-sister suffer as he is her half-brother and again its jealousy. Might explain why she would bother having Walsh SEDUCE Emma. (to the extent a monkey can you know). It wasn’t just, keep her out of town, it was a step further in the approach where say brute force might have worked, like knock her over the head, drag her to SB and put her in a sleeping curse. Then again, logic on this show…who knows.
Neal might be the one who sent the note to Hook though, as August communicated with Neal that way, with a homing pigeon and notes tied to it. That would suggest wherever he is, perhaps he was able to have some freedom if it were him.

ParticipantFavorite moments:
1) RED!–OMG, she had speaking lines, she brought up that Regina’s hurt them (no whitewashing, yes to redemption!) and that she would feel sorry/worried for her.2) OUTLAW QUEEN: though, the flying monkey was kinda creepy to me but hey, I guess Roland’s a tough lad. Maybe he can play with the monkey with the puppet-parents in Gepetto’s shop (going off the idea that monkey was a person or sentient creature like fairy/dwarf level ).
3) WICKED SISTERS: I’ve been forwarding all my cookies to WIcked Regal anyway for awhile now, but confirmed.
4) RUMPLE LIVES: Yes
5) STAR TREK SHOUT OUT: “I”m a doctor not a vet!”–how long I have waited for Whale to do the “I’m a doctor not a…”. I’m happy. It’s the little things.
6) Other stuff: I loved Emma saying Neal wouldn’t be the first flying monkey she’s dated, when they wondered if maybe he turned into one.
7) Regina and Emma bonding moments: I liked them, but it is a delicate thing with how they do those scenes. Sometimes I wish we had just a moment of a frown on Emma’s face as she looks at the shoelace on her wrist. I don’t know, its just odd. Still wondering what fake memory Emma thought that shoelace was about.
Over all though it was a good episode and I was, despite all the things we speculated on and got right, plus had spoiled, I was still surprised in some ways like with the Red scenes.

ParticipantSInce the graphic novels are loosely canon, I think Red and Graham had a thing, so not sure about WW also being his True Love.
I like the idea though that the WW had a child, and that child is someone Regina harmed and that’s what her revenge is about–maybe in this version Dorothy is Wicked’s child and Regina separated them somehow? Essentially what she did to Snow and Emma really, and what Regina is going through herself (she thinks) now.
