Participantwell those aren’t crack enough for me, dying in childbirth? Pshhhaw. After Tinka-momma, we would need something grander, like, Belle’s mom was Glinda from Oz or something like that all full of conspiracy and oddness. OMG….Victor’s mother was never shown aside from the watch, and no reference to Belle’s mother –what if they’re half siblings–now that’s the kind of weird stuff we’re supposed to generate!

ParticipantMaybe that was the best they could do for Rufio fans due to rights issues?

ParticipantLOL…this ought to be the basis for next year CC video. Just saying.

ParticipantOne thing we know. This cast is so cute & fun together!

ParticipantIf not this season, it is something they can always explore later (and we will anticipate with more crack theories….)

ParticipantI agree with Phee. The appeal of mashing is to avoid a sprawl of so many actors that the cast swells and no story is fleshed out enough as each “star” needs a certain screen time per their contract for the season.
When they decide not to actually combine a character, then the next best thing is some intertwined backstory so we get to see more development for characters we already know. Belle is a gaping blank slate in a lot of ways, especially as she has not had much interaction with the Charmings or Emma, and is not on the JR. So how do they avoid exploring Belle without it feeling disjointed from what is going on with our main cast? Nealfire has the same problem.
So introducing a character who connects the narratives could be an interesting way to go about it, but depends on how it is done. I do have reservations about the Tink is Belle’s Momma idea. Mainly because it is hard to picture Tink and Mo, but if they cast a young Mo as Phee mentioned young Henry Sr., well, it seems less odd. I like the idea she was in training to be the patron fairy godmother idea. I also think it could lead to some present day SB development for Belle forgiving her father, and that could parallel Nealfire being more emotionally prepared to do the same when reunited with Rumpel. (Only by then, Rumpel will likely have done something new to estrange them!).
I could also see the Belle and Tink are sisters idea, that there’s something Belle discovers that lets her dream or see what Tink does in some way.
If it is just TInk was the “dark fairy” who gave Snow the dust, that’s great for backstory with Snow and Charming maybe, but we still have Belle out in SB unlinked to the main narrative in NL. Plus, no reason both couldn’t be true–Tink could be the dark fairy, AND somehow be related to Belle.
We always come up with this stuff and then the real storyline seems so flat …. oh well. It’s what we do. Like the dwarves, work is work–theories are theories. Or something like that!

ParticipantSeems like they have a pretty short arc. What could that mean?

ParticipantIn the Tinkerbell movies by Disney that give Tink her own story, she isn’t selfish exactly, more like headstrong, passionate and impulsive. She does not think things through.
The Disney site describes her as Sassy, feisty, fun loving. “Tink acts on her emotions and does not look before she leaps”.
OUAT might take her back to Barrie’s version, or the PP movie, but she does drink poison for peter in the play, so she is not selfish entirely. She just was jealous of Wendy.

ParticipantThere’s another spin, that they are sisters in some way. I like the idea if they go with fairies being created by a first laugh of a baby, that the baby was Belle. How old is Belle supposed to be? (Aside from the frozen time I mean? Her pre-curse age?).
Let’s say she was 30 something when the curse was cast, would it work for Tink (popping out full grown in NL like the Dwarves do from eggs) to be the one to free Bae at some point? The timing could work there, perhaps as a “new ” fairy in NL (one not around for centuries, just Belle’s lifetime), Tink felt sympathy and did something or did something clumsy?
Bae’s release can’t have been at the moment or before the curse was cast. He seems like he escaped halfway through it or something. Hook left before. That is a big mystery.
Perhaps Tink is the last fairy born in NL and BF is the first.

ParticipantWell I had the same reaction to Belle’s dad and Tink….ewwww. Then I said she could have been adopted by Mo, but again–oh no, bad adopted parents in the story, so much as I loved the idea of TinkerBelle (sniff….dead idea) or even Tink, Belle’s mom, I am doubtful either is the case. First laugh creation is still there though.
The dark fairy dust was never explained, so that could be a connection to Snow I suppose.
Oh, just because JMO says Hook and Regina know about NL–it is not for sure, that anyone but Hook and Bae have been there before out of our main crew. Regina could know of it and clearly Rumpel did too, but I’m not sure the actress was saying they had as much as her character Emma is once again out of the loop compared to the others.
