ParticipantYay! Hopefully for something more than a blink and miss it turn.

ParticipantIt goes back to Regina saying she brought who she wanted. The writers lives are simpler to assume it is magic so does not have to be completely logical, so anyone could be in any land it suits the story at the time.
I think until we know otherwise, it sounds like the default is the curse taking everyone in the enchanted forest except those in the bubble. There could be another bubble, so more characters excluded. It could also take other people from other realms if Regina opted them in (Whale, Jefferson). OUAT wonderland might shed more light on whether other realms were taken in general and if so, then characters not taken would be an exception rather than other way around like it seems now.
So I don’t know we can conclude Whale is a spy–he might be but it seemed like Regina brought him on purpose.

ParticipantPlus, that wanted poster suggested he landed in New Jersey–even within the modern world within the US some might consider some parts of that state a different world (even long before MTV and Jersey Shore gave people a glimpse of one reason why.)

ParticipantHa, I just saw your comment, Price. Perhaps Mulan pointed out leaves and sticks for them to at least get their mouth clean, and there were rivers….they probably didn’t smell GREAT, but you don’t need magic or modern inventions to achieve some basics of personal hygiene. (Though that doesn’t explain the makeup!).

ParticipantI’m curious about the costumes too, whether it is the modern fashion or the FTL and creature things. It is still warm when they film the first few of the season, though they can be in an ac blasted studio I suppose. I really loved the costume design and sets as much as anything else in season 1 and 2, so hoping to see less of the modern winter coats and plain old main street SB. I like new settings–within SB this could be done too with new interiors, like Belle’s library office or whatever besides the same old rooms we’ve seen (Granny’s diner, Gold’s shop, Mayor’s Office, the Loft). So it isn’t just for SB, NL and FTl.

ParticipantI definitely want to see the necklace again too and have it play a role in reuniting the two.
I was going to say that Emma should also say she trusts people again, but I think she’s well on her way there, including trusting Neal. She’s trusted Neal not to run out of the bar in Manhattan, trusted him to take Henry to NY to escape Regina, trusted him to get her back against Tamara if Tamara was in the evil lair.

ParticipantLol RumpelsGirl–you should tweet that she at least has that invisible chalk. That made me :-)So…usually not much speculation from these things, but…..clearance issue on Anna? Maybe Anastasia reference? Trying to think what character they couldn’t get rights to that has Anna in it so they couldn’t use it.

ParticipantI agree with a lot of things said by Price of Magic and RumplesGirl. I see what you’re getting at Kiwi, but 2013 or not, the writers want to tell the story they imagined, in the way they imagined. The writers have experience with LGBt storylines (Epenson was a writer on Buffy too, and the Husbands show as mentioned), so even though they didn’t start off, they might have it in mind.
I think Henry is a brilliant choice down the line, but still very much a kid, not even pre-teen with the hormones firing. Let’s give him a chance to be a kid a little longer before the romance stories (and I said this in the Ariel threads so it is not just that I say this in the context of a homosexual story line for Henry.) Now that I think about this though, I kind of like making Ariel a merman. We already had Anton (Tiny) have the “humans are terrible” storyline that is usually a part of the Little Mermaid. What if King Triton (or Queen Triton….) ‘s big issue with Ariel wasn’t so much the human thing, but his falling in love with a male human? Or to keep the iconic mermaid, that she falls in love with a woman? I don’t want it to get too social issue message heavy–that’s not this kind of show, but it could be a part of the story in a way that feels intrinsic to it without being thrown in for tokenism. I just want them to keep the bright red hair and green tail though.
