ParticipantI think the seasick was a comment from some entertainment writer but was more speculation than spoiler.

ParticipantWell here’s a thought–traditionally genies are trapped and it is whoever holds their container and frees them that gets to control the wishes. I agree with Phee–they can’t use their powers freely of their own free will.
So would it count if Belle busts him out of the basement? Would it count as him now giving her 3 wishes?
They could use a good villain though, so I think Genie/Mirror would HAVE to come out with bad intentions and a desire for revenge. Then our SB heroes could unite against him, and maybe his defeat might open a way for them to help the NL crew get back.

Participantlol at Quasimodo. 🙂 I like the idea of someone who could make her laugh, though I’m not sure if that is Quasi.

ParticipantWell no surprise, sounds like she’s got some scenes on the Jolly Roger, clinging to ropes.
Who do you think is the one who gets seasick? I don’t think it is Rumpel or Emma, but I’m torn between David, Snow and Regina. Maybe Charming, as he seems the most “grounded” and the least likely to have ever been on a boat other than that one time when it was docked. Maybe both Emma and Charming do, and they can bond over it!

ParticipantI agree about Little Women, I had the same reaction.
So to connect Little Women to Emma/Neal/Hook, one of the explanations I’ve seen for why Little Women unfolded that way was that it boils down to complimenting versus competing with the person. If you are too much alike you might make great friends, but not have the ease needed to temper disagreements, to be better together, rather than echoing each other’s bad qualities.
I think Hook and Emma, to the extent we saw a bond in Tallahassee atop the bean stalk, had that competitive vibe. After that, they were really adversaries, so they actually WERE competing. With Neal, there are definite differences. He might get upset, but I think he does not try to keep the fight going. He reacts to Emma’s ire with “let’s go have a beer.” Let’s diffuse the tension, and do something normal for a minute, so we can talk. He wasn’t interested in running away from her, but he understands her well enough to know how to avoid turning everything into a fight or a game of one-upping the other.
I’ve seen someone accuse him of running in the scene in Manhattan, which makes no sense to me. He walked away to a bar. Ordered beers and sat down. Even when Emma runs outside to panic and talk to Snow, he is still sitting there waiting for her. She trusted him not to run off, and he didn’t. He wants to keep talking but she cuts him off and says time to go.
More headcannon that has no basis in logic, but I like to think he would have blurted out some version of his apology on the beach if she hadn’t rushed him out of there. I think he had a passing, fleeting thought, as well, that it was a shame they didn’t finish their beers. ;-).
Some people find Neal’s responses to Emma as “mocking”, but I think these two have an ease and banter to their conversations. Like some people think he actually got Henry drunk, but it was a total joke between Neal and Emma to compare an exhausted Henry to a passed out drunk person. Emma is still slightly annoyed and guarded with him, at times, but of course there’s such angst in the events going on around them.
I think it is hard to compare what we have seen of Hook and Emma as they haven’t had very long on the same side. I suppose WS had a similar give and take, so I do think August had potential but for me the thing that doomed that ship the most was nothing to do with his character or the writing or Eion’s wonderfully attractive self–its that I couldn’t stop seeing that Disney animated puppet’s face every time I thought of him. This is a bit of problem for Hook too for me–throw on a red overcoat, a big hat and have him grow a beard, and all his adventures with the floor suddenly seem very natural to the character in the Disney version.
One thing I like about Neal–even though at one point I sort of wanted him to BE PP–is he is not a familiar face from a fairytale. That aspect, that he, Henry and Emma are original characters as talked about in Schmacky’s blog post, is part of the appeal of this ship too.
Explosive matches don’t always work in the long run (but can look like great TV).
So I’m not resigned to anything, but at the same time,

ParticipantFace off Granny versus Belle for Mayor. Whale will make a comment how Ruby is so torn between her friend and Granny that she is hiding out at his place. Headcannon until I learn otherwise.

ParticipantI agree, could be someone we met–Lancelot? A fallen hero type might work for Regina.
Michael Shanks is another actor I could see, playing a fallen hero type too.

ParticipantMaybe she did try to give him up, because he might have just evaded the police. We don’t know, and there’s so much left untold about the sequence of all those events that people can have a lot of fun with the head-cannon. I like the idea that she stood by him, and it was only after years of not hearing from him that she gave up hope.
Josephine, I LOL’d at your comment that WS is possible, yes, they could do an epic May December romance, after all Gold is older than Belle, double standard to say we can’t have cougar Emma. I agree also that the writers are sure to disappoint some fans, no matter what they do now.
In a novel, you just wait for all to be made clear. I wonder, if Pride and Prejudice were being shown as a serial drama, would be all these fans be pushing Wickham & Lizzie and devastated when she ends up with that jerk Darcy, or how she really should have been with her friend Charlotte? Maybe they make fun of that side of fan culture in Lizzie Bennet Diaries–I haven’t watched it. If they didn’t, someone should. It’s too hilarious how we can all get carried away as fans. Hm….I can just imagine fanship views for all kinds of classic stories now (Frodo and Sam are SOOO endgame, but Gimli and Legolas are my OTP). Petruchio should have been with Bianca. Cinderella should have had the fairy godmother turn Jacque into a human, because he fought for her, and the Prince didn’t look for her himself, sent the Duke to do it. He probably wouldn’t have loved her in rags, and Jacqque was by her side the whole time. This could be quite a fun thread actually, since isn’t part of OUAT’s fun that they are rewriting the classic tales? No wonder it brings out some imaginative and determined shippers!

ParticipantArchie seems too wishy washy for her. I like the tin man or maybe Van Helsing, when they go back to a monster world.
Age is funky when magic is involved with frozen or looping time. Chronologically Regina is older than mentally or biologically. I think if Rumpel, who far as we know experienced 300 years of life can be with Belle, then double standard to say a mere 60 year old Regina who is biologically half that age should not be with someone “younger”. Just not someone she wanted to adopt though!GregReg? Nooooo!

ParticipantThat is genius about the flying, Price of Magic. If that is not the explanation it should be!
I definitely think whatever Peter wants will threaten Henry’s life in some fashion. You have to clap in the stage play when Tink drink’s Hook’s poison to save Peter. So maybe Peter needs the heart of the truest believer for Tink for some reason.
