ParticipantI’m just saying–if original NL fairies are born from the first laughter of a baby then maybe, ultra dark OUAT NL fairies are born from tears!
How dwarves and fairies come to be isn’t really a plot hole, per se, but I do kind of wonder. We only saw male giants, male dwarves……it’s magic I know.

ParticipantHm, the one who “rules the night” keeps “saving the day.” Kind of funny. I really do want there to be more to BF, but at the moment, I don’t think it is going to happen.
I also sort of feel like the actress isn’t “lead” material. I thought she did a fantastic job in her scenes but I’m not feeling that “monopolize the screen” sort of presence that a Big Bad ought to have, if she is revealed as such. Maybe I’m the only one who thinks that, and maybe it is just her silly costume and the ultra-convenient plot hole hopping she does that is blinding me to this character being able to pull off being revealed as a really evil master mind.
As long as it doesn’t go too Scooby Doo, I suppose I could live with it. “Oh, the evil source of everything was really you all along Blue Fairy.” “Yes, and I would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for you pesky kids!” as she glares at Pinocchio and Henry. Ok, I know they’d write it better than that.
Now I think I’m on board the “Morraine was just repeating rumors that exaggerated BF’s capabilities.” train.

ParticipantMaybe Alice is her Aunt–the original story afterall has has a much older sister for Alice. I am not sure they are planning a direct connection though since Sebastian Stan can’t film anything for awhile for OUAT.

ParticipantThe “original resident” idea might work, except there would need to be a reason Bae was not picked up by that, though it could be the curse isn’t completely logical either–it is magic. Plus it doesn’t cover Whale. Though that could be a case that (as people have discussed elsewhere) that the curse took all of FTL except the bubbled people, plus anyone that Regina had a particular grudge against, wherever they were. That wouldn’t of course, explain Smee. So then it’s back to saying, maybe it isn’t logical, it is magical and the meta-reason is all that mattered to the writers.
There was never a clear statement that Smee was in NL or in FTL for the record.
The Crocodile “Mr. Gold: No, no. Not about Moe – your captain. Where is he?
Smee: I’ve never seen him in Storybrooke, I swear. For some reason, when the curse hit, it… It didn’t take him.
Mr. Gold: Then, where is he?

ParticipantIsn’t it traditional that Hook’s crew tries to mutiny? He shuts them down pretty fast but they get scared of the dark cabin and refuse to follow orders in the play.

ParticipantGood point, Obisgirl–Smee should want to betray Hook if it gets down to leaving Neverland–perhaps that will come into play down the line!

ParticipantObviously, Keith went to Ms. Fix it, the Blue Fairy! She should have turned him down since he was pretty not pure of anything, we could guess, but when in doubt, that’s who ties up the plot threads. 😆

ParticipantI agree with what Rumplesgirl said about Smee–pretty neutral. I always wonder what the cursed selves were like, too bad we didn’t get that for Sheriff Keith and Smee. Too many characters, too little time, I suppose!
As I was typing my post, I see RG just posted the same thing about Smee and Moe I was about to say. Could Maurice have been the source that told Hook about where to find Belle?
I’m not sure why in-story that Hook was confiding in Smee amongst all his crew. Meta-reason is that Smee is a more traditional confidant character for Hook and stands out more than just a random pirate. Yet in this version, Smee is “new” to Hook’s ship and shouldn’t have 2nd in command status, you would think. That “newness” of course lets Smee comment on things that a more seasoned pirate would know about or would know not to speak about (like Milah). So I can see why the writers wanted to use Smee, but within the story it’s a puzzle why Hook isn’t like “Go swab the deck and stop bothering me”. Smee is trying to ingratiate himself by reminding Hook about his revenge, but I also saw Smee as not genuinely being concerned for Hook’s true best interests.
I wonder if Smee might have a larger role to play–just so convenient he finds a bean and has this desire to never grow old. Could Smee be an agent of the HO? I can’t stop seeing conspiracies everywhere in the show!

ParticipantFor H&K, please add A&E. I know I have referred to them on a first name basis, presumptuous though it is!

ParticipantWhat if that picture is not meant to be Henry, but Rumpel as a boy, only it was drawn after Rumpel was grown up? I was answering something in the “plot hole” thread, and I almost typed something about how it wouldn’t be fair for Emma or Bae to be undone to a younger age just to let their parents raise them, and then this thought struck me.
What if that is what “undoing” is going to mean–that Rumpel is going to be the one (temporarily) reversed in age, because there is a connection between the Dark One, & PP? So PP is searching for Henry, but he actually wants Rumpel, but he just doesn’t know it. Someone once put a picture up of RC as a boy and he does look a lot like Jared did when younger.
