I can see that Ruby would have been able to give her so much advice about finding out you are not who you thought you were.
I agree. NL may have been exciting but they could have found a better way to keep Ruby in the mix.

ParticipantGeorge/Spencer–no justice for killer of Gus Gus and would be framer of Ruby Red?
That article also called as a dropped plot things the person misunderstood. Magic objects retain their magic–new magic could not be created. There is also magic that does not require fairy dust –just the spell for the well /portal did.

He was pretty adamant about not staying on the JR. But then the question is, should Hook, knowing how dangerous the Lost Ones are, have put his foot down and insisted that Bae was staying, if only for his own personal safety? Hook probably didn’t feel in a position to wield that sort of parental declaration though, given how Bae had knocked back the proposal of them being family. It’s an emotionally complex situation from both of their perspectives.
It is not so much Hook should have put his foot down, so much as he should have tried not to profit from betraying Bae. Keeping Bae safe for his own good may have been as Snow calls it “the hard path”, but it seemed Hook had already set him up, rather than warning Bae. He may have been willing to cancel the betrayal, if Bae didn’t reject him for suspecting exactly that sort of thing in the first place.

It’s a massive gesture on his part, and it will be interesting to see how readily Nealfire accepts it when they do meet up again, (which I’m sure they will).
I agree.

ParticipantI think a new character too. Maybe one tied to the origin of the curse that transferred them to SB or the dark one’s powers or something like that.

I’m still puzzling about why Rumpel’s curse is not broken. Back in Skin Deep, he started to kiss Belle and the curse started to fade. He kicked her out. They had a reunion, and it was sort of unclear how they both felt, with various things happening–memory loss etc., the shift to SB and such things. Then at the dock, they have a pretty clear macking session, where they both love each other but nothing seemed to change for Gold. So has their love not reached that “true” deep state yet, or is it that TLK actually is not strong enough for THIS curse?
The other puzzling thing is, once Cora no longer held the dagger (when they were fighting over it in Gold’s shop), why didn’t the Dark One magic just heal the poison? Yes, the poison was applied before in the “so low it seems like no magic” zone, but shouldn’t Rumpel’s healing abilities have counteracted it once back in SB? Or did he have to physically hold his dagger once again in his hands to tap that power? Something of course, he didn’t get to do until after Snow used the candle, and Regina stuck Cora’s heart back. When Rumpel summons the wraith, he actually does take out his dagger to do that spell. So he may need to have the dagger near him in order to use some of its power.
Perhaps all Belle’s love has done is prevent the crocodile skin thing (the physical skin deep beast part of his curse)–which of course would save tons of time for RC on makeup.
Perhaps Regina was just wrong that TLK could break the Dark One’s curse entirely. After all, Emma’s TLK on Henry did not return them all to FTL or remove SB from Maine where it smooshed whatever random forest was there already.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. ParticipantOoh, parallel to them thinking Bae was dead. I like it. But PP as the Dark One —shiver!

ParticipantWould he hide it? I think he took it with him–or maybe that was part of the “cloaking spell” and why he had to ask Belle not BF or anyone else.

I think Bae’s more likely to openly express hatred and distrust towards Hook than anything else.
We don’t know exactly, but still fast enough they could not have bonded too much. Helping with Henry could win Hook some goodwill, but we have to see how that goes down.

ParticipantI am wondering about Whale too–but the actor got a recurring role on another show, and he was auditioning for pilot season. So…sounds like at that point in time anyway, there wasn’t a big plot for him. Maybe they’ll zig zag again and pick up the magic v science stuff because it could have been interesting, and would be a great way to lead into Oz perhaps.

ParticipantOn rewatching, I noticed–Felix has his shadow. You can see it as the Lost Ones walk past Hook while he is hiding Bae in the deck below. All the boys walk and their shadows are reflected on the door. This scene is immediately following Felix telling Hook about the ripping, so if there were ever a time they wanted to make sure you’d notice Felix doesn’t have one–that would have been it.
I agree then–that something special happens with a ripped shadow, and that most likely, it will happen to one of our main character. I’d bet Rumple too.
