ParticipantSo can we make out anyone in the crowd shot? Kind of blurry.

ParticipantDevices are easy to invent though, and while from a storytelling perspective we feel its so cheap and undermines the whole “Rumple had to cast a curse”–I’ve rethought that. World travel can still be easier than the Curse of all Curses.
Rumple needed the curse because he didn’t just need to get to another world, he had to get to the RIGHT world, at the RIGHT time to find Bae. He implied he knew which world when he talked to Jefferson but for all we know, he didn’t really know what world. He just knew it was A world without magic, and that most portal methods wouldn’t work. The whole conversation was staged for Regina to overhear so I have my doubts anyway about what he said to Jefferson being “real”. When he met August, he wasn’t sure how old Bae would be or how he’d look.
I think it adds up to Rumple relying on magic (as his story has been) a little too much to do it all for him. He tried a few other avenues, but ultimately, he gave into his fate as told by the Seer and just trusted the curse would do what he expected it to do.
So anyway it still shouldn’t be super easy but there’s always some new magical doodad they’ve never mentioned before lurking somewhere. Maybe Blackbeard has a magical pirate eyeglass that can spot leprechauns that can make rainbow bridges that go between worlds 😛

ParticipantSo somehow the wooden mermaid becomes a portal opening device? Macabre! My sled-dog-Ariel idea was cute, but wooden mermaid lady being fastened to the prow and used….its giving me the creeps.

ParticipantI think its possible, the only thing is, how would Wicked have crossed back to EF after magic arrived in SB?
I feel it is a big plot hole that Regina activated this curse with several “worst of the worst” types and when magic and memories restored, not ONE of them, other than King George in his limited way, set out to cause havoc. Even he didn’t set out to get revenge on Regina, but I find it hard to believe no one would want that. So if Wicked were in SB, but managed to escape (perhaps her Yellow Brick Road?) I’d love the storyline for referencing the fact that Regina cursed a lot of good as well as BAD people, and not everyone was loving it.

ParticipantMaybe then the connection to Rapunzel thing is true. Sounds like she was imprisoned–perhaps by her mother who didn’t want her with Walsh? So he’s trying to rescue her by pretending to love Emma to keep her from SB. He “kind of liked Emma” not in the actually in love with her way but just he thought she was nice, and he didn’t want to have to hurt her but if its her or Rapunzel, well, he knows what he has to do.
So basically, Rapunzel = Greg, and Walsh = Tamara. Walsh has a secret love affair going on with someone who’s been wronged in the past by a Witch 😛

ParticipantI just had this thought in chat, but what if the scene is hinting that someone has the “Mirror Spying” that Regina once did, and is using it in the real world to spy on Emma? Like Zelena!

Participantlol wraith child.
On this show, who knows, truly anything is possible just about. I’d be worried about a monkey baby if they didn’t say it was Charmings!
Then again, we dont’ know how flying monkeys are created do we?! Is it like Red’s were-wolf thing, or genetic line or what?
If it is by monkey bite, then I say King George’s fate was not cruel enough and he should, for having killed Billy and trying to frame Ruby, among other crimes, be transformed into a flying Monkey too. THen we can call him King Curious George.

ParticipantThe armor! Too bad its not all that warm 😛 I bet J.Mo is very relieved when Emma gets to wear a nice snuggly warm wool coat with a blue jean jacket under it. Let’s hope under THAT is a necklace that Neal puts back on her.

ParticipantOk crazy headcannon can’t remember if I put it out there, but what if Wicked used Neal’s blood to make Monkey Man into a man, and that’s part of the reason Walsh was able to woo Emma so easily? Maybe Z even stole away Neal’s memories and part of the reason for sending Walsh was to torture Neal 😛 (though I don’t know why she would care so much now, but who knows what drives her just yet, if she’s like Pan, equal opportunity mess-with-them villain even if primary target is Regina).

ParticipantI want Ariel to tow the JR like a sled dog. Other than that I suppose maybe Rumple or Aurora could have sent a message.
