ParticipantI find it an ironic joke on the writer’s parts and nothing more. Not only is it a contrast between certain doom for the town and “Happy” as a concept, but of all the dwarfs, Happy has never seemed like the sharpest tool in the shed.

ParticipantWe don’t know how long the separation lasts RG. Before when it was suggested everyone would go, it was also assumed that SB was gone. Now the question is how do they get back from NL ? They also did say “core cast” is split between SB, boat and another land. I am going to read into that they mean EdR for SB and MJR for FTL. Then they said they want to simplify things–so maybe the split won’t be too drawn out. They do sometimes jump through an arc fast, like Cora. On another show a villain like Cora could easily have been a season long thing, or breaking the curse memory a show long thing.

ParticipantFavorite:
SB not being destroyed.
Grumpy giving the potion to Rumpel, referencing the events of Dreamy
Belle drinking the potion out of the chipped cupLeast Favorite
Hook turning in Bae to the Shadow
Plot Device BF makes potion from convenient hair from plot contrived kid-form August
Belle being left behind (I’m telling you, she has Plot Device BF Sickness)
Neal being revealed as having learned how to pirate and sail in less than a minute (ok maybe more is to come….he does eventually escape the shadow after all)
Smee’s acting (he seemed more wooden than Pinnochio to me for some reason).
How few people were in Granny’s diner when “everyone” was supposed to gather there
GOAT kidnapping Henry within moments of the failsafe deactivation. What did Henry do, go running down the mines to tell everyone and get taken?“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. ParticipantThey say everyone has an evil twin somewhere as an urban myth right? You know–there was that promo picture awhile back that had Henry dressed sort of Peter Pan or Robin Hoody….and someone had started a thread about Henry being PP. 😮

ParticipantThat was just …./sniff sad for Rumbelle. I did notice how much they put Belle in the color blue at the Dock though –blue nails, dress–clearly, she was infected with Blue Fairy Plot Device Sickness. Ack, it’s spreading! I kid you not, the code for that color is 0000BF. 😆 😮 😆
So the only comfort I had was thinking, well she did get her memories back, and even if she is left behind, perhaps that means she can be key in another storyline where we can see some smart, adventurous Belle again. Maybe she helps get Neal back to SB–or if our heroes are in trouble in NL, she ends up saving them somehow later.
I agree though, it made little sense for Rumpel to ask her to cast a spell and stay behind.

ParticipantDemileto–that is a creepily good theory.
We know whoever PP is, he must have prophecy powers. Or else he couldn’t have that picture of Henry. He can make portals between worlds–and communicate somehow between them.
Yet I’m still trying to figure out the connection to science, and why Greg and Tamara used science to block magic, if they are working for PP in a magical realm.

ParticipantWhat an episode….but I’ll spoiler tag in case anyone hasn’t seen yet. I agree with what AllthatGlitters wrote more or less, and MysteryKat, I wouldn’t worry about Henry.
Henry can't be special because of true love as there have been other true love babies in FTL, so if Henry is special in terms of his destiny, my guess would be the prophecy. So whatever we learn is likely tied to Rumpel, not to true love. I think Rumpel knows quite a bit about that Shadow thing and NL.
As for Hook and Emma–many of us speculated that they'd be forming a new alliance, that he would turn over a new leaf and that has happened! They have a common goal and he is no longer focused on revenge. Her words did strike a chord in him. Bae might be a barrier but only if that's what the writers choose to do. It's not as clear as if they'd written Bae as dying (which I don't want them to do), but this is as far as my attempt at playing Seer could get me. Oh, and Charming did totally punch Hook because of what he said to Snow, and it was out of his system.

ParticipantI agree, Rumpel knew more about NL. He also knew alot about Greg and Tamara in SB for that matter. Not one question about why Tamara shot Neal or how she was with Greg.
but yes, mind blown. I did not think PP would be the HO.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. PriceofMagic – yay! (and it’s totally legit to love more than one ship on the show. I love RumBelle and Snowing too, just not to the same level yet that I love CaptainSwan – probably has something to do with the inevitability of them vs the gutwrenching question marks that CS has but I do love more than 1!)
I actually like all of them. There’s just much less mystery to Rumbelle and Snowing now–and it is (in my opinion) a toss up what will happen over the course of next season or the hoped for several seasons down the line. MJR said he ships it all, which I liked, but then I just saw another person say they just ship Emma and Happiness. I feel that way too–but include all the characters more or less (except the ones I’ve said I hate like Blind Witch and George, they can rot .).
However, Rumple’s seer powers are as unreliable as Emma’s superpower so it has to be taken with a grain of salt and his point of view:
I don’t think that’s the case–his powers were not unreliable due to emotion, but rather, reading the future is always difficult due to the complexity of what will be versus may be. Subtle and in this case unimportant distinction but in any case, I agree it probably is his point of view, rather than a prediction, that he feels Neal had feelings for Emma, and that Emma had feelings for Neal. After all, when Rumpel spoke to Emma it was in NY with no magic, plus he hadn’t forseen that Emma knew his son at all, let alone knew him enough to have Henry with him. So what he said, in so far as thinking they carried torches for each other, has been shown that he was right. He did NOT make a prediction that they end up together happily ever after nor did he imply he had.
So it is not at all about comparing Rumpel’s ability to see things versus Cora–neither was really looking into the future of Emma’s love life. Both were just reading the present as savy judges of character. There is no contradiction then in what they’ve said, no reason to read into Rumpel’s opinion of Hook because I don’t think Rumpel even thinks that’s a possibility yet. Perhaps in the finale or next season he will react as you are predicting.
As to Cora, she also did not read Emma. She only read Hook’s feelings regarding Emma. I agree with how you’ve interpreted Cora’s line of thinking.
All that said now, Emma’s feelings were as Neal fell away from her are certainly something that could change given that she thinks he is now dead. She spent years waiting for him (at least 2 in Tallhassee, one can debate after that point I suppose, but those 2 years living in Tallhassee after she got out of jail are hard to explain otherwise) only to lose him again. I can see her feeling “life is too short” and that in a way, she’d mourned and been alone (romantically speaking) long enough already without needing to wait years again.
I do think it looks doubtful for anything CS this season though–not waiting years doesn’t mean she isn’t even going to get through the funeral before turning to Hook!I need Hook to tell Emma about the swordfight and that he was really planning on going with them. I need that so badly! Looking forward to seeing Hook working alongside Charming – Emma better be a big part of making that happen – I think she will be, otherwise there's no way Charming would trust Hook.
This may be something we never see, just like we may never see on screen more about how he could leave her in the prison cell–but it’s sort of the same thing–the idea that he only reluctantly was helping Cora out of self-preservation and lack of other options, and that if he’d seen an opportunity to help her, he would have taken it.
I’ve been musing whether Hook showed Emma the bean to hint that he would get word to Anton to free her, but then Cora was ahead of him and that’s how Anton ended up all handy-travel-sized.

ParticipantThanks for saying the spoiler blacking is not necessary–I ‘ll take it out in a moment then.
Rumpelstiltskin: What about the slippers?
Jefferson: Oh. Couldn’t find ‘em. Heard talk they’ve already been moved to another land.
Rumpelstiltskin: That’s what I needed to get to that other land.
Jefferson: Well, come with me in my hat. I’m sure we can work something out.
Rumpelstiltskin: No, no. Your hat only transports between magical realms. I need to get to a land without magic.
Jefferson: Why would anyone want that?
Rumpelstiltskin: My business.
Transcript from The Doctor. That says to me that Rumpel believed there had to be a certain amount of magic for the Hat to work–but notice, Jefferson doesn’t confirm or contradict him. What if the hat could technically go to a Land Without (much) Magic, but of course, could not bring you back? I don’t see Jefferson volunteering that information.
The biggest problem still for me is how could there be enough magic in Wendy’s time that it could both qualify as “without magic” enough for BF to send Bae there, but still have enough magic to lose to become black and white. Then again, BF’s promised destination still is problematic since we’ve seen that the Land Without Magic wasn’t so “without” thanks to the Dragon and the comments that Tamara made that this was not the first time of a magical invasion. So either way, what BF said did not pan out. So if I put aside BF’s “no magic there” promise, what I think could be is that Rumpel just assumed he couldn’t have used the hat to find the world where Bae went–but he probably could have. Yet by the time he went to that world, Bae had long since left. The time line gives me all kinds of headaches though–there’s a great thread where people are patient trying to work it out.
