I love that so much! I hope they find their happy ending too!
BTW-Someone explain to me why people hate Neal so much because I just don’t get it. EVERYONE on this show has made mistakes in their lives and yet it seems like he’s the one character that people get so hostile about over his errors and can’t forgive him for them. Maybe I’m just stupid but I really do not understand it. Poor guy has suffered through a lot in his life and while he’s not perfect, he’s not a killer or chronic liar. (((Neal))) 😥
I sometimes wonder if it has anything to do with the other roles the actor played–I never saw Terriers or True Blood, but I gathered he played some kind of thug or serial killer.
I also think there are some people who look at what Neal did and blend it into their own experiences or stories about deadbeat boyfriends/husbands. There was some ambiguity about how he came to leave Emma and how she got to jail in terms of what was shown (putting aside comments from A&E and the actors). Also how he handled Tamara once he encountered Emma again.
I agree though, there are much darker characters but people seem willing to give some the benefit of the doubt perhaps because it seems so impossible to imagine knowing someone like that in real life. I think David would have gotten much more flack if the whole Katherine thing had dragged on any longer.

ParticipantLol….I’d ship SnottySwan just for the name.

ParticipantI kind of like the idea that the head of the H.O. is someone we won’t meet yet, but we do meet GOAT’s immediate boss.
The immediate boss could be tied to Tamara–maybe the lady in the picture is not her Grandmother at all. I think it might also be shocking if it is tied to Whale–like his Brother & Igor. If you read Raul Ybarra’s article that he posted, he has a theory to tie it all together that’s rather interesting.
It may also be someone we’re about to meet in the finale. Such as someone we meet in NL past.

ParticipantOn these forums we have kicked around the Wendy started the HO idea, as well as that being “fictional London”, plus Whale being involved somehow (or his assistant Igor)–but your idea really pulls it all together. Boom, my mind is blown if what you are suggesting is that Wendy’s London is the past of the world shown in Land Without Color. So if it is, I suppose we assume the H.O. worked hard to drive all magic out of the land, and it ended up like it is in Whale’s time with only “feeble, neglected stuff” as magic. That would be quite a twist.

I want to see Lacey go; “Hey, I remember you; Guy Who Shot Me.” *BANG* Because she would totally have stolen a gun from the pawn shop. And then we have further validation of Hook’s limp! 😈
😆 Or she could turn to Gold and borrow the cane-o-pane and just you know, let loose.
Another Lacey story I was rooting for; as she now knows magic is real, why not let her know the whole truth and watch how she deals with it? She’s Lacey, but knows she’s really Belle, and then does she fight to get her own memories back or try to keep it from happening? It’s kind of the flip of Emma last season, she already believes; but she’s still cursed.
That would be very interesting. I could see her wondering about Belle and fighting not to be turned into her (just as much as Belle would never want to be Lacey).

ParticipantWell you mentioned Tangled and there’s a tie in sort of–doesn’t the big thug guy (voiced by Brad Garret) play the piano with his hook? He always dreamed of being a concert pianist…..not the parallel you were going for I think.
Edit: I had to look up the lyrics to cut and paste here, but now the song is stuck in my head.
I’m malicious, mean and scary
My sneer could curdle dairy
And violence wise my hands
Are not the cleanestBut despite my evil look
And my temper
And my hook…I’ve always yearned to be a concert pianist!
Can’t ya see me on the stage performin’ Mozart?
Ticklin’ the ivories ’till they gleam?
Yup, I’d rather be called deadly
For my killer showtune medleyThank you!
Cause way down deep inside I’ve got a dream!

SwanAchoo? You narrowly avoided surplanting SwanQueen with LaceySwan.
I know we want Belle back, but I was curious how Lacey would react to Hook.

Neil is not dead. Instead, the portal dumped him on the Millennium Falcon where he was healed and later, Yoda taught him become a Jedi knight. He then vanquished all the wraiths. Alas, he hooked up with Leia and got decked by Hans Solo who then sent him to another land without using a portal. The mystery is where did he end up after that?
I knew there was a reason I keep misreading your screen name as Sarlacc.

ParticipantI’m thinking along the same lines as Seven_of_8. The only thing that makes sense of his comment is that he knew of them, and grew up with them in the sense that we all grow up with these classic literary characters to some extent. Except he knew the stories reflected “real people” somewhere in the realm where he used to live.
Rg is right though, he might not have been able to match the counterparts, but then again, Henry did give him the Once Upon a Time Book. So maybe that’s how he got the list together for Tamara. I wonder if it is also possible that August wrote the book, and had it to show Neal 12 years ago when convincing him to abandon Emma?
Kat: Yes, that’s true, they often film things, and of course A&E can be unsure if it is in the final cut. So to my last question above about August, one thing they did cut apparently might bear on that. –apparently there is one of Jefferson and August meeting… Yet unless they revisit any of that background about the book’s history and creation especially, we just don’t know.
