One thing that strikes me in almost all his recent interviews… is that he always mentions there being more to ‘Tallahassee’ than was shown on screen. Now, I’m fairly certain that the actors are briefed for the press so that they don’t give away too much which makes me fairly hopeful that we might re-visit that time at some point. Maybe that’s just my wishful thinking 😆

He seems like a very genuine and lovely guy. I’m also impressed at the effort that he puts in to roles. He’s just totally adorable. 🙂

There may have been more, according to this Tweet that Neal did not set Emma up for jail from Adam. He says that, then in response to the fan saying basically well if he didn’t how did she end up there, he says “great question. We haven’t shown that yet, but he didn’t call the cops. He just did what august said — leave her to be savior”
Sounds like there is more they might show on that, though I feel it is back tracking in a way for the story. Unless there is some crazy conspiracy link thing going on–like, the Home Office was involved somehow–but how! I can’t even get my head around a crack theory to connect it right now.

I like how thoughtful his answers are, but the bit about Neal knowing the fairytale characters throws me. Actors don’t always understand more than they need to know for their motivation in a scene, but as others have said the only people he might know are BF, Rumpel and in a way, he might have concern for Emma’s parents. Unless what he means is he knows OF them from fairytales, and having read his father’s fairy tale, knows they are real as well. As an audience/reader you can connect to characters, after all, and in a way, that’s what we do on this show as fans, we have favorites and the ones that irk us, almost as if we know them. So in that way, because he knows their stories (or some version of it) as we do, they aren’t strangers completely to him.

I think Frollo scared the heck out of me as a kid.

Nothing is impossible on this show, but I think they would have to find someway to explain the fact that Frollo was still alive decades later. Hunchback, of course was a book long before it was a film, written in 1831, so before Peter Pan and Wendy even. Like Wendy, Frollo belongs to a certain time and location (Paris), so we’d have to explain how he is connected to the stories we have now.
But yes the religious elements in Tamara and Greg’s convictions are interesting.

I don’t think when the book was written would be an issue since in Once, the Snow White story only happened 30 years ago when in reality it’s been around long before then. They could do a FTL version of Paris like they did an FTL version of China for Mulan.

With Frollo, they could go several routes. For example, if the Home Office has been around for a long time, say involved in the Salem Wich Trials, then Frollo could be a modern day relative of one of the original founders of the Home Office and would see it as his duty to continue the fight against magic. Perhaps Quasimodo is someone from another land that Frollo is keeping as a test subject or something or as propaganda to recruit followers, kind of “Look what magic did to this poor boy” when in reality Frollo thinks Quasimodo is a “foul creature”.

Quasimodo would ba a good character to add because he isn’t the perfect fairytale prince. I could see him becoming obsessed with one of the Once ladies, perhaps Belle, Emma, Regina or Snow, because they were kind to him. Snow would be a good one because she wants to fix her dark heart and she’d think helping Quasimodo would do that. Charming would then be concerned about the crazy stalker guy being near Snow whilst everyone else would think he’s just being a jealous husband. Cue Charming turning to Rumple for advice.

That would be a neat plotline.

I could see it being a series of heartbreaking near misses–a reverse of his father finding him, as he searches for them.

IF Regina is reformed, and we get Ariel, then I’m a bit conflicted as I want Ariel in the present, but I also really want Regina to play Ursula. That can’t happen at the same time period if Regina is no longer evil. Not unless we get Ariel in the past in FTL AND of course, in the present somewhere. I suppose they could do that, as they used to do past FTL and present SB. So now it could be past FTL and present wherever they are….I don’t see Ariel as having been in SB though.

So what do people think /want to happen besides Neal being alive? Is he trapped somewhere and it will be a season long thing to get back? Or will he be reunited fairly fast?
Since it is the season finale, I could see the cliffhanger being he is not going to die, but it looks like there is no way for him to contact or travel back home.

I'd like it if somehow Henry finds out first that he is ok, and tells Emma sort of in reverse of how they tell him his father is dead….it could drag some drama out there with Emma being unsure if Henry is just wishful thinking or really did have a dream. Spoilered b/c of the Aurora thing and the fact Henry may not be where Emma is, so I see this playing out mid-season rather than right away.

I hope we get news on MRJ before June. I want confirmation that he’s a regular and I can do a little happy dance.

If they leave Neal’s fate in jeopardy, I can’t see them releasing any information on it. Only if he’s in a state where it’s like ok, he’ll live but how can he ever get back, that I would see them do that.

I like all 3 of those possibilities.

As long as where they go isn’t Plot Device BF saves the day.

I could also see Mulan just staunching his wound and putting herbs on it–she’s a warrior after all, so we wouldn’t have to question too much how she knows some stuff like that. Neal would then continue to be weak not fully healed.
