ParticipantEmma’s nickname for Walsh is: you animal! When Walsh came to drop off furniture for Emma he said: me walsh you Emma. His favourite action flick is King Kong. Walsh is always whistling the theme of the flying monkeys when they go marching When he is not tending hsi furniture shop he is doing acrobatics in Central park I seriously hope Hook drops some of these (of course he would not get some of them like about Curious George but maybe some of them he would inflict upon Emma)
I love that “you animal” lol.
I guess Emma likes her love life on the wild side, explains those plaid pants.

ParticipantI still wish Neal fans had picked “homies” cause it fit with the street/urban city vibe and his theme of home and is good for alliteration with hoodies

ParticipantOh Walsh, if only there was someone out there who loved you……(need to make it part of the frozen meme gifset)

ParticipantLOL I love this thread 😛
Great picture Galutheria.
I agree–seriously, though I will crack ship it prim(ate)arily….. I do kind of have to say that if we’re saying evil queens, guys cursed into inhuman imp forms and were-wolves can find love in this show, then a guy who turned into an Evil Monkey (or vice versa) isn’t too far behind and why the banana not?
Let’s hope for the “softer side” (is that a banana mush?) of Walsh to be revealed soon so he can be reformed. If not, let’s hope for Monkey Island easter eggs (there were pirates on Monkey Island….they have to go there!)

ParticipantI am surprised by how good the last episode was. Emma was “our” Emma as we’d like her to be but just softened in good ways from being with Henry. I feared some total reset to her personality. She’s still her, but softened with some good experiences–and thanks to Walsh, one MAJOR weird reminder that fate, destiny, whatever you want to call it? You cannot escape it.
That aside, there were so many subtle, sweet SF clues. The fire that made her move because of a “fire” that Henry is a “spit fire”, the fact they KEPT THE PROPS for that apartment! It wasn’t an overly long scene or anything, but seriously, the scene jumps to Neal, the mentions of home–all of it flared up the tiny flame of hope!
SF is a slow burn story, that is unfolding on parallel paths. I was so happy to see Neal’s talk with the Charmings, and with Belle. I’m cringing a little at thinking how Henry, especially without memories, is going to react to Neal but I think it will be full of emotion. Henry and Emma on the one hand, and Neal on the other, are all trying to just have home and a family, that’s what they want.
One more SF thing: Emma doesn’t just pick a boyfriend for looks alone–not ragging on Gorham’s looks at all (but wow it was somehow believable he turned into a monkey!) but it struck me that Walsh’s way of “charming” her was definitely by being the nice guy who gets along with Henry. That is what made Emma so content and happy with him, not his dashing, romantic sexy demeanor . She liked him for how he treated her, and just as importantly, treated Henry. Yet he was a lie, someone (something?) pretending (for reasons we don’t entirely know yet!) to be the perfect guy to her, just like Tamara was the perfect girl to Neal. Emma might have fallen for it too if Hook hadn’t shown up and weirded her out with talk of curses, fairytales, and here’s your exes apartment.
It wasn’t a “Katherine” parallel either as some predicted, because Walsh and Emma weren’t given false memories of a relationship. Those 8 months, we’re told actually happened. This …MONKEY! fooled her for EIGHT MONTHS of dating. That’s…well, they may not have gotten engaged but Emma said she loved him. She actually didn’t decide to really turn him down until she realized she was caught up in a whole different life and she cared about him too much to drag him into it, so she was going to let him go. It is the PERFECT experience for her to wrap her head around Tamara. How Neal could let someone blind him, and just how tempting it could be to have someone so dedicated (despite a hidden agenda!).The small puzzle pieces are moving into place, and it is exciting to see it.

ParticipantI enjoyed it, but as long as MonkeySwan happened to ensure more jokes…well, it was all I needed.
The monkey was very creepy, and Wicked is going to be an amazing villain. I’d seen LOST and though we had but a moment with her, the actress seemed completely different than her role there so pointy hats off to her. I love when actors can take on completely different personas (probably why RC is so fun to watch in all his incarnations of Rumple!) Let’s hope Monkey Man Gorham can do that for his other show because yeah he really did seem creepy monkey come to life here! I’m going to guess it was just his acting 😛
Beyond that, I loved seeing Phil and Aurora again
the reveal of the missing year being the baby bump (yay)
I liked seeing Henry and Emma play videogames (anyone know which one it was?!)
Their apartment was cool
The Regina/Robin meeting
The Belle/Nealfire/Robin reunion, nice moment
Most of all, the evolution of Snow and Regina, and that talk they had about losing their children.

ParticipantI’m thinking the person whom Lana confides in is actually Snow White.
The article says: “In addition to letting Snow help her grieve, Parrilla reveals that Regina will also open up to another character.” And now that this bug is in my brain and scurrying around, I need to elaborate on the idea that it’s Henry… It will suck and be really sad if he doesn’t get his memories back and doesn’t know that Regina is his mother, but at the same time, it’s understandable that they’d do that, because it was Regina’s ultimate sacrifice to give him up, and the significance of that gesture on her part gets negated if he suddenly remembers her and she gets him back again. Perhaps, because he doesn’t remember who she is, she’ll be able to honestly open up to him in a way that she never was able to before, and through those interactions, he’ll give her hope and inspire her to do and be better, and he’ll come to genuinely care about her. That could build up to a moment where they have a real emotional connection and that will be what breaks the Curse, and gets Henry his memories back. Then he’d have the memories of his mother from the first 11 years of his life, plus memories of these more recent interactions, which will ultimately lead to them having a deeper connection than they ever have before. This may or may not be my new official headcanon.
That makes total sense. Emma and Henry built up a connection that wasn’t necessarily “you’re my mother” even though she was his birth mother, but most of all, she was his friend. It took time for her to really start “parenting” him and it is actually similar to what Snow and Emma went through in transition from MM to EMma vs Snow to Emma.

ParticipantI read that book. The author’s other one, the Historian is awesome but that one is not quite as we’ll done. Yay for random though.
