    87. If you need to say goodbye to someone, do it well away from the town line in case you trrip, get shot by a pirate or run over by a “tourist” or otherwise lose your memory.

    88. Be nice to Pongo. You never know when that dog will be the main witness against you in a murder investigation.

I hope they can get to the rest of the story. While she had a slightly different feel than Barbara, Rose was also great as Cora. I also was interested by Xavier for some reason. Not only is he the origin of “Love is weakness”–it seemed like he bonded with Cora over his own son (the remark when saying he knew about her visitor and that there wasn’t much there to love in his son). Maybe that’s why Cora could Rafiki Regina–Xavier was impressed with Cora and her ambition, so it was a matter of time.

I’d love it if in telling this backstory, we find out Xavier has an older son who was supposed to inherit, and he’s a spendthrift useless Prince named Naveen….and Cora turns him into a frog 😛 But really, any backstory will be great.

Regina already knows what’s wrong with herself–she never learns from her mistakes.
To greater or lesser degrees, sometimes we know we need to do better things for others, for ourselves and we just…don’t. It doesn’t even have to be the “drug” metaphor for magic, but plenty of people out there (me included) make the same mistakes day after day….like say eating too many cookies. Especially during a hiatus 😆

I am not sure why it took her 18 years–but perhaps she tried and Henry was the first baby that Mr. Gold could procure? Hard to say–I do hope they cover it somehow.

The one time we’ve seen the Blue Fairy stray from this course was during the FTL sequence with Gepetto. She told a direct lie in order to make the deal with him and send Pinocchio through the portal, but this is the only case we’ve seen such an action from her. It was also probably the most interesting of her plotlines and the time I personally found her the most interesting and likable. It’s not a hidden agenda that makes her unlikable, it’s her general inflexibility.

What about “Dreamy?” True love is supposed to be the world’s most powerful magic and she kept Nova and Dreamy apart because it was “forbidden.” I lost of a lot of trust for BF after that episode.

I see BF as like a bureaucrat, perhaps a head of state. Lots of potential power she cannot use for practical purposes because of rules.

She did not force them apart. She let Grumpy choose.

Bossy: You’re a dwarf, Dreamy. We’re not capable of love. It’s not how we’re made.

Grumpy: But, what if I’m different? What if you’re wrong?

    (The Blue Fairy appears.)

Blue Fairy: Bossy’s not wrong, young one. What you feel – it’s just a dream.

    Grumpy: Who are you?

Blue Fairy: I’m Nova’s teacher. And if the two of you run away together, it will not end well. Nova will lose her wings. But, if you return to the mines, and if you allow Nova to become the fairy that she was meant to be, the two of you will bring untold joy to the world. Nova can be a great fairy – if you let her. The choice is yours.

He gave up their love so she could achieve her original dream of being a FGM, and bring joy to others. No one blames him for breaking Nova’s heart that I see–everyone points at BF. Yet all she did was lay it out for him, what their love might cost Nova and the world.

The BF hate (well maybe a bit strong of a word) gets even odder, when you think about Neal & Emma, and the role August had in the breakup. Now I realize there are those who think Neal was afraid of his father or jail, but I think (and know others do too) that Neal did what he did because he thought it was the only way for Emma to meet her destiny. He wanted her to help everyone in the curse and reunite with her parents. Yet even I feel like he has to shoulder some blame for that hurt he caused.

I have not really seen, nor did I myself until this moment, ever “dream” of blaming Grumpy/Dreamy. Why is that?

Are we all just so ready for BF to be evil, or was Dreamy just so sweet and hurt we couldn’t bear to blame him for what he did?

I do believe there is great story potential in finding out exactly why “it wouldn’t end well” for a fairy and a dwarf. Bossy says dwarves can’t love–but can fairies? Was it both or just him that was the problem?

How about Sydney Glass? I kind of hated him for being such a tool in all senses of the word. I’m on board for him to be Jafar…if they can get the actor back.

    83. The sheriff’s office reminds you to buckle up for safety, unless you are a dwarf or a giant, then you can just pile in the back of a pickup tuck.

I don’t think it is Dorothy she is on the good side.

What if Tamara’s Grandmother was Mombi, the wicked witch of the south, who was defeated and deposed by Glinda and who got screwed out of her magic when she was exiled from Oz (I think in the Oz books she was turned into a rose and/or then exiled to the …

Also, the witches used wands too as well as wizards

Mombi is kind of an obscure character in terms of general audience knowledge. She’s not in the classic Garland film verison that most people think of for the Oz stories. There was the more recent movie, I suppose, I haven’t seen it. I still think they would stay away from newer interpretations. I also think we won’t get a twist on say, Princess and the Frog, Tangled or Brave like, here’s Tiana, Rapuznel and Merida wandeirng about the way we met Aurora and Mulan. I could be wrong, but as it is there are bigger, more well-known characters and they barely have enough time to cover the stories they already have. On that note, I actually don’t mind if they mash together more characters, as they did with Ruby/Wolf or Rumpel/Crocodile/Beast. They could cover more ground.

So they said Tamara is not a FTL character….but I wonder if it is possible that Greg could be “mashed” into another well known character. (If he isn’t the homage to TRON as it is….).

I also think he could have hiked, as he was determined.
According to Owen and Kurt (who didn’t come to town so much as the town came to them), the nearest “real” town was like a day or something’s walk.

But back to the spoilers….I’m really curious if Tamara and Greg have other people they are in contact with about their agenda. Everyone has seen that idea tossed out now of the secret organization/government type thing, but what if that organization is actually run by magical world people, not necessarily FTL ones? Was the Dragon truly the only one of his kind in the “real world”?

I agree, mostly it is the forced writing more than the actor or even the essence of the character. I really wonder how they intend to grow his character in the future–he’s definitely a “hero” kid. Can you imagine him asking any of his family for dating advice? Ah, I can imagine some pretty funny spoofs along those lines.

Did Emma leave to pick them up in another city and we just didn’t see that?

In Price of Gold, it’s pretty ambiguous. She says she’s glad her things are “here”–but not delivered or anything specific. Quite possible she drove back to Boston, packed her own apartment and stuff in offscreenville. That explanation makes a lot of sense with the idea SB was self-sustaining and no one really left or came.
