Anyway, like I said, I’m not 100% behind my own theory yet, not even 100% sure if that unborn baby is Tamara. But those are my current ponderings on how Robin knew about the wand and where to get it and how to use it…coz it belonged to his mother in law.
At this point, any theory we create is more likley to be wrong than right because we have so few pieces. Still a lot of fun to mull over!
I like the idea that a fairy fell in love –because I want the story to return to the point that BF made that fairies cannot love. I also want there to be more to Rumpel’s killing of the FGM than he just needed her wand and just generally hated fairies, and considered them kill-on-sight material. New story developments could layer in some new meaning to those scenes.

ParticipantThat’s quite a timeline!

ParticipantI think it sounds very plausible. The one part I am not sure about is Greg. Is Greg’s goal larger than finding his father and maybe revenge against Regina? How much collateral damage is he willing to cause? I think Tamara is willing to go pretty far.

ParticipantI suppose it is much simpler if it is a different wand…but I always do like when they add new meaning to old scenes. Or even better, when they had something in mind and are finally playing it out.
That is one serious timeline you have there!

ParticipantPlease let them make Ariel so cool that no one would ever add her to this list!

ParticipantI kind of just read that discussion, so this was how I would sum it up if you don’t want to risk being spoiled. Someone put up pictures, and people realized the wands really do look the same. Yet that created timeline issues–how long was Belle in the castle, when did Cinderella go tot the ball versus marry Thomas etc…. That was where the headaches came in. So if you didn’t like this theory there are 2 others:
1) It is not the same wand, just looks the same because standard prop, and only Blue the master fairy has a different wand
2) It is the same wand, but more time passed between the events than we originally thought, and Cinderella and Thomas took years to get married from when they met and we first see Rumpel acquire the wand. Then somehow he got it back from Robin as part of the curse in SB just like all the other random stuff in his shop (like Snow’s crown ) got there.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. The deal was with King George, David for the Fairy which I think he added to his curse. Why would he have to ask where the Fairy was if he had dealings with her before ❓
He killed the mute girl didn’t he ❓
Another note wasn’t Robin Hood in England not in FL ❓
Well just because he had dealed with her, doesn’t mean he necessarily knew where she was later on, especially if she had magic to actively hide from him.
He did kill the mute girl, but that was before Bae jumped worlds. I’m saying after Bae left, Rumpel sort of checked his evil a little. I could be wrong–not remembering every brutal thing they’ve shown him do, but I think the worst things were pre-Bae leaving.
It’s unclear where Robin Hood in the Once-verse is located. They definitely did not show them hopping in a portal, but taking a carriage to get to the woods where Robin was. The Sheriff had a different enough accent that Rumpel shifts his accent, but other than that, we don’t know where they were. I just assumed it was a different corner of FTL.

I thought he simply exploded the fairy because he HATES fairies (since he blames/blamed Blue for his son’s portal jumping rather than his own actions…at that point) & that is why he says no one will miss her as well- in his mind they shouldn’t be ‘using’ fairies in the 1st place.
Yes that is the more likely explanation, and what I thought the first time I saw it. I was just offering a new layer to it, the idea that maybe there was something more personal than simple rage at all fairies. He seemed to hate fairies even before Bae jumped in the portal though, his lines to Bae suggest he wasn’t too thrilled that Bae had begged BF for help. More things the writers can pull out at a future date, perhaps to explain.

ParticipantI forgot who it was, but someone suggested a theory that the curse wasn’t really bringing out “opposites” but drawing out the worst versions of everyone, their weaknesses. I think it was Phee, but sorry if I’m remembering incorrectly. I really think that fit with what we see in Lacey.

ParticipantAfter reading the thread, I have to applaud you all for being so thorough on combing through the dates!
I think what seems the most interesting possibility right now is what someone suggested that Rumpel had the wand twice. I like to think Rumpel doesn’t just cruelly, coldy take things but tempers his darkness by making “deals” so whatever ill fate befalls those who cross his path is partly their own doing and choice. At least, that he is like that after losing Bae.
So I’m imagining that he cut a deal with the fairy godmother (something against fairy godmother code probably!) to get her wand. She in turn recruited Robin to steal it back for her, then that is why we see him feel justified in killing her when she’s talking to Cinderella. Otherwise his killing of the Fairy God Mother (FGM) just seemed a little more openly evil than his normal mode of operating as a trickster. Then it also explains later on his comment to Regina that no one would miss the FGM whose wand he is using. None of the fairies would miss the FGM because she cut a deal with Rumpel for something a fairy wasn’t supposed to do. Maybe that “something” was a someone–as people are speculating, the tie to Marian or Tamara.
So that’s my spin on the theories people are tossing around that the FGM was tied to Marian /Tamara and it was her wand and why Rumpel had it, then lost it, then got it again.
maybe cut a deal for the wand the first time it came into his possession. Post-Bae world jump, I like to think Rumpel only makes deals rather than just cruelly, coldly taking things because he can. So we don’t see any deal with the Fairy Godmother–it seems like he just kills her out of nowhere.

ParticipantLike Suraya said, Belle in the Disney Animated movie is one of my favorites too. So I feel like the ONCE version had a lot to live up to, and I’m still a bit on the fence about whether she does.
I think for me, the problem is mostly not her so much, as it is Rumpel. Once-verse Belle falls in love with a beast who is so much worse than the animated beast (though he is more human looking, I’ll give Rumpel that :P). So even if the girl’s character is quite similar (wants adventure, loves to read, sees the good behind the surface), what troubles me is she is either looking past a whole lot more bad or she is too naive to see how bad he is. She is there, dusting the super creepy puppets, cutting off the stem of a rose that used to be her betrothed, unaware of what happened. Gaston may have been shallow, those puppets may have been swindled by someone else, but Rumpel wanted to have those bodies in his castle. *shiver*. He’s under a curse, perhaps mad, but….what’s her excuse? All that makes sense is she does not know the gory details of some of his “things”. I don’t hate her but I am really curious to see how Lacey plays out, to see Belle understand his nature more clearly. I know the prop department probably loves them, but those puppets have got to go!
