ParticipantI thought Lana also said something about Rumpel, that before Regina thought of their rivalry as more of a game, but now she is really going to get serious.

The way I’ve understood the show is each season would be a mini-arc so that could be really good if done well. Something nice and concise to keep our attention while we wait. 🙂
The conciseness is what gets me excited. Network tv often results in stories that are ended too abruptly or that drag on way too long (or even both sometimes) because renewals & cancellations can be a bit of a surprise to showrunners.

Good point. I sea the idea of Rumpel taking the role of the sea witch more fitting than I do for Regina. Though I’d still rather Ursula be a full character all herself. She’s just too….too…awesomely evil to not be on the show in full glory.
Imagine an episode with Regina, Ursula, and Maleficent all in the same room. Oh OUAT gods, here my prayers!!! 😆
I still want to know how Mal came to be Regina’s “only friend”.

ParticipantRumpel looked wistful. “I didn’t even get to name my own child.”
Belle squeezed his arm. “Perhaps you will the next time.”

Participant“If you can ground her, then I can ground you.” Regina said.
Mary Margret gasped and went paler than usual.
“It’s a joke.” Regina smiled. “Since you are here, I want you to meet my daughter, Cora.”
Mary Margret stared at the little red haired girl, who stared right back. “Actually, I’m Apple,” the girl said. “Cora can be my middle name.”
Emma raised an eyebrow. “Apple Cora? Seriously? That’s what you are going to go with?”

Participant“Don’t sound so surprised. I AM married to a teacher,” Charming replied. “Oh wait, is that the time? I’m supposed to be at the bean fields. I’ll see you later!”
Rumpel grimaced as he watched Charming race off. “A brief flash of light, in the ocean of dimness, ” he commented to himself. He would just have to, as always, do things on his own.

ParticipantRegina, still distraught over the loss of her trees, continued to chase the puppet girl. She screamed “You’re mine!” just as she almost caught her.
Just then, Belle sent out a wave of magic and things began to change.
The puppet girl stopped and turned. “Mama?” she said as she threw her arms around Regina, in the kind of hug Henry rarely gave Regina any more.

More spin-off news: the name changed again – it’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’ now – and they just cast Emma Rigby as the Red Queen:

I had to laugh at how Deadline described the character, though. They’re clearly ignorant of the book’s story to describe her as a playing card – she’s a chess queen, the playing card is the Queen of Hearts – and calling her Iracebeth, a name Tim Burton coined for his Alice in Wonderland movie and that was never present in the original story. 🙄
Sloppy article! It is interesting though it says April 7th is when filming will begin on this new show.

ParticipantGepetto completed the last puppet. Her eyes flashed open just as another bolt of lightening struck.
“Drive Drive until you run out of gas, you won’t catch me! I’m the ginger-haired lass!” she sang as she took off running.

The only problem with Hook being Eric is where does Milah fit into this. Eric and Ariel are supposed to be true love. If Hook is Eric that would make Hook and Ariel true love. So why has Hook spent 300 years trying to avenge Milah’s death if he didn’t truly love her?
It is a good question, but one the show could write around. We assume a lot of things about what true love is in this ONCEiverse.
- *Either in FTL you could only have one true love, but Neverland/Land without magic are different places, different rules.
*Or he really becomes so changed by his 300 years of life that he is really a different person, enough for a new love to form.
*He and Milah could have been Cora/Rumpel style soulmates, but not technically true love, which is why instead of inspiring him to be better, Milah’s memory sets him on this desperate & destructive path of avenging her.Or something else more creative!
