ParticipantThe way they did Cinderella or Ariel I could see her getting an episode to focus a bit on her story but I think it would involve other characters or some big plot point that runs parallel to something else.

ParticipantThat sounds plausible. I don’t think the writers intend to be obvious about SF for a LONG time, because their goal is to make something that seems inevitable and yet impossible at the same time. I’d say they’ve got that with SF. Everyone says “how predictable” Henry, Emma and Neal being a family reunited would be–and yet, every episode shows us all these obstacles that get in their way, but also shows us a lot of understanding and concern between them. Things pull them apart but something draws them together as well, and we know part of it is that they love each other (and Henry too!)

ParticipantI think Hook asks Emma the question, and she doesn’t know the answer because of “fog” from the curse. It’s probably part of the conversation where he hands her the paper and tells her to go to Neal’s apartment. Hook’s goal after all is to get her to remember–but it’s interesting and significant that even he realizes how important Neal is to her. I don’t think the Dreamcatcher will restore her memories but as we said, Belle’s teacup wasn’t enough alone either. The potion is an integral part, and this potion may be different anyway. We were all wondering how Emma would drink out of a talisman, remember, aside from shipping we pondred “what does she soak her baby blanket in potion and stuff it in her mouth just as a baby would do!” So it never made sense to think she’d have a talisman we’d seen before that would let her “drink” the cure in it. It’s not daunting in the least to here the final push to Emma’s memories requires a conversation with Henry and drinking the potion, nor that Hook gives it to Emma. Whatever his feelings for her, Hook seems aware that Neal continues to play a role in her life even when not there.
If Emma does go to Neal’s apartment this way, that means the writers spent time producing that space. They preserved all those items, kept it around, and staged the room again, and that’s a LOT of work to go to for a minor character if they’re trying to say the character is not important. Screen time is limited, particularly in a premiere episode where they want to feature most of the cast and have a lot of exposition to unload. I think its a pretty significant thing.

ParticipantMRJ knows how to be sneaky. THey hired him on the down-low, they shot in NY, and in general, his costume is one that would blend in with crew pretty easily outside of the EF scenes. Those khaki pants and boots, throw a different coat or hat on him? Would they even notice him walking to set? We know for a fact there have been scenes shot where he was there and the “reports” neglected to mention him. We know people have watched episodes where they forget his part outright so no shock there. Everything is being filtered and reconstituted right now so while I do think the usual “Dude in Distress” may have some twists and plots for him, it may not be what those who underestimate him think it is.
I’m excited to see Neal have emotional scenes with Belle, Charming and Snow. Let’s hope there’s more to come in modern day, not just flashbacks.

ParticipantLots of pieces that we have no idea where they go yet!
I definitely think Sarah’s back to film something. You may be on to something about lost souls going to Oz. Maybe the Witch followed MAP back from OZ to the EF and bided her time to take over? So they sort of encountered her, and then people took refuge somewhere or will need to take refuge in the Dark Castle.

ParticipantI think they meant if they want to bring him back they’ll make something up. “Immense powers” and all that.
