ParticipantSo Black Fairy = Glinda? Hm….interesting.
I like the idea that Neal went through Oz out of NL, that Glinda was powerful enough to help him escape Pan and she was the one who told him how to use the shadow, that it wasn’t necessarily part of Pan’s plan. It’s all just a bit murky though whether Pan thought he had to jut freeze Bae long enough to meet a girl born of true love, or what was going on . Maybe Pan was being manipulated, er helped by Glinda? If SHE told him certain things, glimpsing the future, maybe that explains August’s “little fairy” comment too. Just how did Tink end up in NL anyway?
Did Glinda send her there from wherever Tink was banished too when kicked out of the fairy-kind?[adrotate group="5"]“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. ParticipantI love that banner too.
So that outfit that Neal has on in the banner–did we ever see it in the show? Just curious. I placed all the other outfits except that one.

ParticipantJo, that’s where my cynical feeling comes in to think that’s what they’d do. There’s a neat article with Chris Lowell who played one of two guys in a triangle with Veronica Mars, and he basically says he’s rooting for the other guy “for survival reasons”. It’s a pretty funny quote, because he’s basically saying it should be a no-brainer that his character is the good guy, but the majority of the fans can’t let go of the “bad boy” who had a rocky history with Veronica. Sometimes, the story has to go where the fandom has its heart, not where the character’s heart might be if written as being in character.

ParticipantI know, he’s Hook’s son by Milah who was actually pregnant, so the mermaids saved the child in the womb with magic and kept him alive, telling him his father killed his mother. He’s out for revenge against Hook, not knowing the whole story in a thematic reversal of PP from the firsthalf. Ah, what’s a morning without some crack theories to crack us up.

ParticipantI thought they said her title IS the Wicked Witch of the West–but her name isn’t specifically “Elphababa” or whatever it was from Wicked the book/musical. Anyone know? They are putting their own spin so that’s all I know.
What if Rapunzel IS the Witch in disguise? What if it is a trap to lure Charming to get his hair with the story of a trapped maiden, but really she’s pulling a “Cora” and she was imprisoned in the tower long ago because she’s dangerous and evil. So Charming inadvertently lets her out, while trying to do a good deed (and a nod to the musical song, no good deed goes unpunished!).
If not, I bet Rapuznel is a monster of some kind, and she’s up in that tower for very good reason and letting her out is going to cause problem–I hope that’s not the case as I’d like to see her join Team Princess but it just seems like something they’d do.

ParticipantThe screencaps with squinting and magnifying do seem to be putting a different spin on things from earlier reports. Putting way too much thought into it, I know, but those white paper bags are the sort of thing you’d get at a photo /pharmacy place and maybe she rushed right over to confront Hook about them. Maybe she does find one in a frame, and sees the camera and goes to get more developed or something. (Bail-bonds-person tricks right there).

ParticipantIt’s funny how these pictures took so long to surface isn’t it? I mean, what’s going on with getting a few shots that imply Hook’s words or kiss or something triggered Emma, then we see there were some photos of Henry? It’s as I said, for all my doubts as I am trying to look logically at all the stuff, there’s this suspicion on my part of the motives of people giving “reports”. They hold things back for their own reasons, or for who knows what reason but it has happened before that MRJ was there, filming and NO ONE KNEW. So if we look at all the evidence we have, we maybe lean one way, but we can’t forget to question the sources, to question why THIS is all the evidence we have. The unknown unknowns are out there, and they may be singing a very swanfire song, we just don’t know it yet! A&E aren’t keeping state secrets, but they have been sneaky. They filmed Broken with MRJ and a handheld camera. They didn’t announce who he was. They asked him to come to their offices for this interview by name for this character. They had big plans. They made him a regular only after they were willing to spoil his character survived in the EF. While they could announce he’s leaving the show only after they spoil his character has an unhappy ending Graham style, they also could reveal that he’s not going anywhere either.
Reading the interview again from Once upon a Fan, something struck me. They may be playing fast and loose here. “Core character” is an inexact term, and if they said a core character is going to die to Matt, and he asked “for reals?” and they said “Yes, none of our regulars are safe.” I could totally see him overlooking a past “core” character like Ruby. He’s not Keck but he has to follow a bunch of shows even if he actually likes this one or not. So it’s possible they would intentionally mislead him and yes, they do try to mislead and misdirect fans, because they don’t want to spoil and they do want to have things feel like twists, but they know how their internet fans get. They have a sense of what things we’re piecing together and what we aren’t. People say we figure out everything, and we do figure a lot. Yet they want to have a few surprises. So I don’t know if anyone called that Emma and Henry would get a memory curse, or that this year in the EF would be wiped from memory. There’s always context and details that matter so much.
In the article they talked about needing creative freedom to adjust their story, almost as if they were driving from LA to NY on a car trip. Let’s imagine its more of a ‘tour’ across America and they said they’d be taking us to see Lincoln. Now some of us are excited it’ll be the memorial in DC. Others get very excited that it will be the Potato that Looks like Lincoln! The drivers think, why not please “the people” sitting at the front of the bus, shouting very loud about the potato. They’ll divert and we’ll see it. That’s ok, though not my thing, but I’d be aghast to find out that we’re ONLY doing the potato and spending lots of time on it and now not going to DC at all. This was a story of hope. To have dialog, not just marketing things, that talks about Neal ‘s second chance, to set up the yearning for it on his part, to make him integral to not just Emma, but Rumple, Regina and Henry from the pilot, an unseen glue between these main characters stories just as Henry was the visible up-front glue for almost all of them except Rumple? It says to me they had big plans. The question is, did they change them, and is the tourist trap all we’re getting, or are they going to say with a big grin, “hang on everyone, that wasn’t Lincoln, NOW we’ll show you Lincoln for real.” It’ll be much more meaningful if they do it that way, though perhaps a touch awkward for those of us who got caught up arguing the whole time whether the potato was all there’d be, that worried that it really would be or hoped it would. I wish I weren’t so cynical but I feel like the show has let me down a few times in the writing, but still I’m in the back of the tour bus with you guys, hoping that there’s more to this trip than a potato in a hat and some clothes. I mean it is a stunning potato, no doubt and really quite a wonder all on its own, but its not what I expected.

ParticipantHe stabbed him before they got the camera for the museum. He had it before that point in the apartment then they went out for pizza! It wasn’t clear how long they were in NY in that episode but I think they changed clothes so suggests 1 night perhaps and next day. There could be pictures.
The thing is, that white paper bag does not seem like something Hook would have from the EF to carry around pictures in. It’s the kind of paper bag you get at the store and throw away. Then again, if Hook is coming from SB, then I suppose that would explain that. He might have come from recreated SB with Regina and Snow’s pictures in hand in a paper bag taken from Sneezy’s store.
I can’t tell though what clothes Henry has on in the pictures as it is too fuzzy. It doesn’t look like the grey/red colors I recall him wearing but more blue and green? Stripes? So that would suggest some outfit he wore as younger Henry that Regina might have had.
We do see a clip of a dreamcatcher though, so that fits in somewhere.

ParticipantThey’re in a bag like you get from the store–maybe Henry’s camera was in the apartment with pictures on it? Old school film. Or maybe they are pictures from Regina growing up in with Henry in SB that they gave Hook to give Emma to help convince her.
I can’t see them well but clearly these shots were held back from our first set of pics of this scene. I wonder what else is out there?

ParticipantHopefully, Adam and Eddie aren’t that cruel. I want Regina to find true love again.
How is any character in the main cast dying not cruel? Last I checked, Regina is the woman who tried to make her own son think he was crazy even though she loved him, almost killed Emma, did kill Graham, killed villages, sent children to almost certain death in a cannibal’s house, cast a curse to destroy everyone’s happiness–and regretted none of it because SHE got someone to love. Not that she didn’t have others love her before, as we saw with her father, Snow and Sydney–people gave her love and she gave them misery. If it is “too cruel” for her to die then I fail to see how it is not too cruel for other characters who were not so far on the path of a sociopath.
I guess if you’re thinking of it just as a shipper/Evil Regal then I suppose it is cruel to tease OQ and then not deliver, but I don’t even know with A&E anymore. They’re trying to please everyone but they’re coming off like they are spinning too hard and so are sort of juggling with the truth so much that they’re turning into clowns. One way or another, they’ve promised and danced and spun a bit too much.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.
