ParticipantSomehow, when they were all young adults, a curse was placed which would kill Eva. Blue Fairy stepped in and provided a protection spell, a magical cuff, but it would only protect Eva until a new royal was crowned. When the new Princes (Snow) came of age and was crowned, Eva would die.
That part confuses me because Cora says “poison looks good on you” so I don’t think it was meant to be a mysterious ailment and Cora just took advantage. She set that whole thing up, just as she set up Snow’s horse running away the day Regina saved her.

ParticipantHappyEndings: JoAnna said the BF was Eva’s confidant. Snow didn’t reach the BF because Cora intercepted but unless Cora pretended to be JoAnna in that scene (and maybe she did) it did seem like BF helped Eva regularly but secretly from what JoAnna said. I don’t know it wasn’t clear.
That aside, a spoiler that says the Witch is after Regina doesn’t mean she has no issues with anyone else but just that her PRIMARY target is Regina. She may have issues with Rumple because he’s the kind of guy who pops up everywhere, and may have made some shady dealings. I don’t think the Witch is after Snow’s family per se so I guess we need to find out if they get on her bad side trying to protect Regina. I can see that happening.
How far do you go for family right ?That has been a major theme, so I don’t know what might be in the past, but in the present the Witch may be only after Regina but I can see the Charmings planting themselves square in the path of destruction, along with the others.

ParticipantWe have no idea how many more seasons the network is game for them to do, nor how many the stars of this series truly want to do. Let’s face it, Vancouver isn’t the balmy weather of LA and a bit out of the loop for them to be getting other projects. People move on in their lives too. Lana is getting married, GG’s having a kid, Colin just had one, and ultimately, shelf lives in Hollywood (particularly sadly so for women in particular) are a bit limited. Television has lured some great movie stars, recently, even still bankable ones, but a lot of “just past their opening a movie prime” with good, powerful scripts. I love this show but it is a bit on the campy side rather than serious drama, so career wise? I don’t know if it makes sense for any of these people to be thinking it is a long term gig.
I think they ALL probably enjoyed it tremendously but if someone is leaving now, and it is for “story” reasons then I imagine a few possibilities in a general way:
1) A tragic story of how evil gets victories and good must suffer but overcome heartbreaking loss (Neal, Snow, Emma Charming or Henry)
2)A heroic sacrificed story, in a bittersweet story of just how deeply someone can change from selfish to selfless (Regina or Hook)
3) Something in between like Romeo and Juliet, where Romeo kills himself upon seeing Juliet is dead, then Juliet wants to reunite themselves in death. (Belle).
If it is Neal, it’s just in Nathan of Heroes territory though for me, given they’d already run a storyline but at least it was only ONE fake death.

I really hope they’re just playing us all and they were cagey and the writers thought they meant a current series regular, but they meant Red. I love Red but Ory’s moved on so it would be better than one of the regulars who all have characters that ought to be given much better then what it sort of is shaping up to be here in terms of “arc completion.” I’ll judge after they show it though but I may be like I was with Heroes, more in the mood to complain about the show than watch it.

ParticipantSomeone tried to make a deal with Leo, but he chooses Eva. The WWW could be related to Cora as it is true she certainly has the red hair and curls, plus we’ve seen how she’s dressing up as Regina more or less, as if trying to take her spot. Maybe they were switched at birth but Regina seems to resemble Henry Sr./Xavier so I do think she is Cora and Henry’s child.
I like the twin babies idea, where Cora ends up making a deal with Rumple about WWW to save Regina as a perfect baby.
I mean those guys are brothers, not even twins. (Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez) . First famous full siblings I could think of but sure there are better examples of people with even more startling a difference. (With these two it is personality that’s the bigger difference).
Maybe it could tie into the apple tree (long forgotten apple tree). Perhaps thats the “root” of how the sisters fates are tied together that one bears the brunt of all the magical side effects of the magic the other one does.

ParticipantNot the gingerbread man –he’s obviously looking for the muffin man. Also next, he will find the butcher and the candlestick maker, then turn them out as they are knaves, all three.

ParticipantThat is beyond cute!
(giggles) I wrote that trying for a limerick but the submission site didn’t format it that way as they centered everything. Of course it’s a clean limerick (mostly, we know Henry got here somehow) so that disqualifies it from being a true limerick :P.

ParticipantI agree. The writer of the article probably wanted to name drop Rena Sofer, more well known than Eva Allen who probably is set to return to play young Eva.
I”m not sure if I’m ready for young and the magically restless here with Henry Sr being with Eva, before Cora who was with Rumple.
Guess we have to wait and see.

ParticipantI’d think Snow didn’t know she had any other family to go to, so perhaps the WWW was “dead” and Cora made a deal with Pan for that, reversed by the shadow being burned?
We’re all going to be flying monkeys by the time the season starts.

ParticipantI could see that Watcher.
I second what Phee says too. People toss out a speculation and people jump on board but it is just a speculation. We’ve had some that were flat out wrong though they looked to us like all kinds of plausible, or some that turned out right though we argued it was impossible. Team Brothers? wrong. PapaPan? Right. Bae or Hook are Pan? Wrong. We don’t always see the twists like Cora + Rumple with that “seal it like we used to moment” of horror? Didn’t see it coming, wished I hadn’t seen it going. Now we’re picturing Cora as this super-seductive lady who got around the Ef or something.
Maybe, she had ambition and no heart, but maybe we’re just seeing a simple back story thing. Perhaps its even Eva and Leo’s wedding, where a jealous Cora realizes that Xavier’s throne will not easily go to them for some convoluted reason, so she does something to Wicked and her family to try to get ahead.
I’m still hoping for a Maleficient/Regina/Wicked story though.

ParticipantWe don’t know yet what they are doing. Young Eva may be in the mix, along with Rumple and perhaps its the story of how Henry Sr. lost his line to the throne when Xavier’s kingdom fell to Leo’s. It could parallel how Regina ends up losing to Wicked.
