ParticipantHm I think so too, WWW was “killed” by the Shadow in the past and is now “alive” and looking for revenge–or was “captured” by the Home Office anyway and now is set free.

ParticipantSeriously? I liked the Owen part of the storyline but not the way they handled the Greg part so much. It was like too much on top of too much and not enough pay off with magic versus science. Embry’s acting also didn’t wow me, but he’s been cast in movies before so I feel maybe it was the writing there that made him seem so clunky?
You know awhile ago before he died we had this theory if they did Oz there might be a connection to Greg, since Embry stared in a Oz related movie, that was set in NY and had The WWW wanting to take over multiple worlds. Watcher I think saw it (someone on the forums did) and said it was horrible so I never bothered to try to watch it. Then again, this could be a trend here for Embry….horrible movie, maybe it wasn’t the writing with Greg.
I forgot the name of the movie but it sounded eerily like OUAT in that sense of “fairytale characters in the real world but they don’t even know it” way.

ParticipantFrom A Page on Tumblr . The caption is its the same outfit!
No idea when they took the cast photos to assemble that composite picture, but pretty clearly this outfit is one Neal doesn’t wear until the episode just short of the finale. He’s wearing it under his tan coat probably as they say goodbye at the townline.Small details like this give me some hope the writers/producers of the show don’t think Neal’s just a plot device of minor importance, an obstacle to be cast off to allow Rumple and Emma to move on to new plot points. He’s a player in this story, one who has been struggling for his own happy ending and we have seen him lost and lonely on the streets of London. We saw him betrayed by Hook, by August, and Tamara. We see him supported by Mulan, by Wendy, but most importantly? By Henry and Emma, even if at times Emma’s had her doubts and issues.
I hope whatever direction the writers take the story they realize there are fans who enjoy Neal as a character in his own right, just as much as they do other characters. I want Neal to have a happy ending to his sad story, just as I do Emma, and happen to think they’d compliment each other but there’s a lot of the story left to be told. I hope Neal continues to be a part of that story!“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. ParticipantThat’s city hall right, where Emma and Regina are talking?

ParticipantI would think they all had to do ADR for the outdoor scenes–at night, in a crowd with wind and all that probably hard to hear what they were saying.
I wonder if 316 and 317 are sort of a cliffhanger thing? The show is going straight through but is there a holiday thing of one week off or anything? They definitely are doing lots and lots of night shooting (poor babies, so cold).

ParticipantGoodman writing The Crocodile and now this Jolly Roger episode is more reassuring than seeing Boylan’s name again because I was very underwhelmed with Good Form’s consistency with previous canon events and the personality of the characters. Of course, that doesn’t mean that they’re going to conclude Hook’s story versus expand it as we have no idea what their current thinking is. I felt like NL was kind of a detour, a chance for the writers to do a few things like those mother daughter moments that GG and J.MO wanted forever, maybe get away from the chess match thing of good versus evil and an interweaving set of characters so much.

ParticipantLooking to the books of Oz, it didn’t seem like there were big ties between those pirates and the famous characters of Oz. It is a derivative series (not written by Baum). “Pirates of Oz” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirates_in_Oz I’d never heard of “Captain Salt” before! So I don’t think there’s an obvious angle to connect Hook or Davey Jones using that particular novel per se, but it could be just a parallel story maybe?

ParticipantIn chat we were musing that Ariel is likely given Joanna going up to film, and perhaps some POTC esque story with Ursula instead of Calyspo &, Davy Jones (aka Blackbeard) .
We do know the ship originally belonged to the King Who Rips Wings of Pegasi And Seeks Deadly Poisons (allegedly! I still think Pan may have duped him…but then again, see treatment of magical creatures) as part of the Royal Navy. So it can’t really have been Daddy Jones’ ship, unless it was taken by the king FROM him?
I don’t know if Baelfire will figure into this, unless we get wind of Dylan Schmidt to be on set.
So here’s another question, how does any of this tie into Wicked?

ParticipantCinders! I HOPE HOPE HOPE that is where the writers are going because that has the potential to be really brilliant.

ParticipantPan was very selfish, sociopathic and cruel, but in many ways his desires to be young forever and have no responsibilities are indeed real world sort of problems. Maybe more so for Adam and Eddie who live in Hollywood, where they probably meet people who have endless plastic surgery and kids their own age, who are left behind in a past marriage/relationship, while they continue to go party, sometimes perhaps in a very self-destructive manner. Peter Pan Never Fails…and there was one star I recall a big fuss about always “winning”. Of course the part of ripping the heart out of their desdendants doesn’t translate, unless its a figurative sort of thing, but anyway I think what they were getting at with Pan was that he was ultimately just a very selfish, irresponsible guy who had a lot of power.
