Considering how Snowing’s wedding went, well…would be kind of funny if they upped the ante and did their own mini-version of an ode to Game of Thrones with a “Red” Wedding ….

I like it–and really they kind of did need to do something to explain the big Red shaped hole that’s been in the story.  Granny’s at Pan’s death, at the town line to say goodbye, but where’s Red?  No CGI in the budget for a little wolf?

They could even, sniff, say that she and Victor CHOOSE to go back to his world, but leave it open that they aren’t cut off forever or anything, but it just would help explain why she’s not onscreen in a way that makes sense.

I feel the same RG but it is kind of Once Upon a Disney that helps sustain it I think with network execs thinking “cross-promotion”.   And I am a Disney fan too, so even though I’m a fan of fantasy/fairytale/folklore in general–can’t fault it too much for being the way it is.  There’s a certain “tourist” value in seeing familiar characters/touchstones like “oh hey, that’s Pongo” or “look did you catch in the background, that was……” if anything, they don’t do it enough.  It’s the familiar story being twisted that makes a lot of OUAT work, and for that it needs to be a familiar story first.  Millers’ daughter/Rumple is one they didn’t tell until we’d already lived with the characters awhile, and even then, they’d taken “Queen of Hearts” and mashed her into it.  So even when they CAN go out of Disney (OOD?) it’s like they aren’t going to go too far–doubt we’ll ever see much of Abigail/Frederick or Midas again.

PoM: Excellent Crack.  He’s a flying monkey.  He must also have a typewriter like August.  That’s how the OUAT promos are made, a flying monkey on a typewriter.  (Breaking the fourth wall kind of theory!)

The original spoiler about growing by two spaces said taking into account Pan and a Snowing baby I believe, so it doesn’t automatically rule out this wedding somehow being tied into the family wreath.

I am wondering if maybe the connection between Philora’s kids and Snowing’s could be something in line with the Sleeping Beauty story, that is that a …shall we say.. Wicked fairy shows up to curse them instead of bless them like the fairy godmothers.  What if that happens to Philora’s babies (I like the idea of them being twins named Anna and Elsa!) and so the only solution to the curse is to bless Snowings 2nd child to be another savior (let’s say its a boy called Kristoff).  I don’t think they’d be that close on Frozen though.

Vanessa, you’re name reminds me that it could be the Vanessa storyline of Little Mermaid.  Maybe there’s a fake wedding that’s going to be happening (Wicked and someone?) and the heroes have to stop it!

It could parallel how Regina tries to ruin the Snowing Wedding (well it’s her gift to them to have that happy day, while she makes her big threat).  So it could be opposite with Snowing maybe showing up to try to stop the fake wedding that could ruin everything for Regina’s happiness.

Considering David and Snow’s personal experiences with forced betrothals, it wouldn’t quite make sense for them to arrange a marriage as they believe in true love. David had quite the conversation with his mother about it all, then the mess with Abigail.   Of course, given the writing for the Charmings lately, I’d totally believe the writers WOULD do something like that just to generate some conflict between David and Snow.  David not telling Snow he’s dying because he doesn’t want to worry her,  or  Snow not telling David she’s feeling so guilty she’s suicidal she’s just going to go beg Regina to rip her heart out for example.  So I suppose I could see Snow pledging her baby to Aurora’s baby as the two are bonding, then David being upset she did it without talking to him and for what she did.

It is an element of “Sleeping Beauty” in the Disney version of the tale that Phillip and Aurora’s parents are friends and they are betrothed at her birth by the fathers.  So that could be a similar sort of thing, except its the moms and the dads have no idea.

I still hope it is David rescuing both though, because I  like the image of David climbing the tower to rescue two babies though–how do you top 1 handed sword fighting with baby in other arm as in the pilot?TWO babies, in baby slings, as he climbs down the tower, fighting off enemies.  We need another great Charming the dashing prince moment …..maybe he can be plowing through Trolls or something, with help from Rapunzel of course.

I agree with Eala–the gender of the babies shouldn’t matter! Interesting point that there are many similarities between Aurora and Snow, so I do wonder if that might be all it is, and I agree about what  Cinders is saying about needless melodrama, that there could be just a sweet scene of the two “new’ mommies helping each other out.  Hah, it could be Aurora just giving hand-me-downs to Snow for her baby!

Then again, I feel like if it is happy, normal and such then they don’t tend to spend screentime on it,so if we’re going to meet Philora’s baby and another Snowing one–given that kidnapped babies are a big fairytale plot thing, especially if they’re doing the Rapunzel storyline (and they really cut back on on Rumple’s baby snatching ways)–they could do it now.

I guess one question is whether he is a stranger to her or she  knows him.

I ship the babies.  Just kidding.  Maybe both babies get stolen and that is why Charming climbs Raunzel’s tower where she was taken when stolen to get the babies and meets her?
