We don’t see [Charming] really connecting with Neal at all.

Yup. So we don’t see the development of Emma and Neal’s relationship, we see all their highs and lows in ONE episode, we DON’T see their first kiss, no bromance with possible future daddy-in-law, not to mention all the cowardly choices Neal has made – why am I supposed to be shipping SF again?

If Neal & Emma were meant to be endgame, why bother show Hook bonding with Charming? It wouldn’t make any sense. (Because all daughters want their dads to like their boyfriend, they need their approval). There’s set-up there for a reason.

Because Colin’s interviews have just DESTROYED a lot of anti-CS arguments, such as he’ll go bad “when” she goes back to Neal and how Emma has no feelings for him whatsoever. He SMASHED THEM INTO OBLIVION.

And he basically reiterated over and over that Killian loves Emma, he did everything short of waving a huge neon sign in our faces.

He said the line “as you wish” was deliberately put there, he said we were getting everything we wanted as CS shippers out of the episode and he said that the kiss reflected their FEELINGS for each other.

Which means the kiss is NOT in the heat of the moment or any such similar rubbish.

I saw that article! And it’s great because it specifically states a mutual attraction – we knew it all along but for other ships the fact that Emma had feelings for him was doubted 😉

Yeah. That Princess Bride parallel kills me every time.

I’m actually going to die with this episode, I can feel it. I mean, it’s clear that when Liam dies Killian turns into a pirate. And it really kills me because every step of Killian’s life has been DEFINED by his losses – when he loses his father, his brother, Milah, Bae. BUT EMMA WILL BRING HIM BACK TO KILLIAN AGAIN. *sobs forever* MY POOR KILLIAN

Some random thoughts i’d like to share.

So, having watched the kiss scene for the 10000000000000000000000000th time, I realised something i hadn’t even noticed. Sorry if i’m pointing out something that has already been pointed out.

So Emma is wondering why Killian saved David’s life and says that they aren’t exactly “mates” (lol, love the way she tries to imitate his accent there) and he replies with – “Doesn’t mean i’d leave your father to perish on this island.” Your father. Not David, as she herself refers to him as. This line shows that he did what he did – for Emma. He’s telling her right to her face that he saved her father for her. I just love that, because it completely reinforces what we’ve been saying – he’s trying to change, trying to be a better person, all because of Emma.*CRYING*

And that reminds me just how similar David and Killian are, how they will do anything for the people they love. Love is their driving force, and both have an amazing capacity for it. The way David is trying to protect his family by not telling them about the Dreamshade also reminds me of when Killian went to duel with Rumple alone, ready and willing to die in the Crocodile, all to protect Milah. Killian is literally a darker version of Charming. He’s just more selfish, and doesn’t do things for “the greater good”. And, i’ve said it before, but that is what Emma needs so badly. Someone who will put her well being and happiness over EVERYTHING.

So yes, with regards to the above I’ve changed the line on Killian’s poster to:

“Believe that a pirate can be Emma’s hero”.

*SOBBING*

Also wanted to mention, because I’m 99% sure that Good Form and Tallahassee are going to be thematically similar, i’ve just thought of something else with regards to what i said about them being about “home”.

In Emma’s flashback she didn’t get the home she wanted with Neal. Now, we know that all that Killian has ever wanted is a family. We know his flashback will be him and his brother. We’re 99% sure his brother died. So yeah, in Killian’s flashback he won’t get the home he wanted with his brother.

Okay, i’m done.

I just wrote a ridiculously long thing and then realized you posted before me and I love basically everything you just said and hadn’t even thought about that! The key to their apartment was in that picture and you’re right, there should be a lot of Tallahassee parallels and the whole thing with home and I’ve been saying it for awhile but the home thing has shifted a TON for Emma. Right now home is where she and Henry are safely away from NL. But it could definitely be a big clue and it IS a Hook-centric ep where CS share their FIRST KISS! Excellent deductions.

Well that’s what I think is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE (not definite!)to be the case. That key was in the picture for a reason and the only thing I can think that it represents at this stage is home. But I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that Christine Boylan wrote this episode and Tallahassee. I mean really. She’s a total CS fangirl.

@MysteryKat – Completely agree with you about the disgusting behaviour from some of the other ships, and that the other ships are seeing Killian as a huge threat. And completely agree with everything you said about the kiss scene – Emma was in control there, completely. COMPLETELY. Anyone who says otherwise (and anyone who says Killian manipulated her) is just not watching that scene properly IMO.

One thing I really dislike about some of the other shippers is that they don’t hold Neal up to the same standard of behaviour as Killian. They act like Neal is some kind of saint. That he hasn’t done wrong things, made wrong choices, just like Killian. And the fact of the matter is, it doesn’t matter how anyone interprets their behaviour because at the end of the day it’s Emma’s choice. SF shippers say that Killian is awful because he locked her up in a cell and pushed her into a wall. But to me this doesn’t matter, because it doesn’t matter to Emma, she knows she gave as good as she got. And that’s equality. Killian Jones sees women as his equals and doesn’t treat them differently just because they’re women, even if he’s attracted to them! We’ve seen that Killian Jones firmly believes in the revenge principle “an eye for an eye”. Killian Jones is the least sexist person on this show actually(can’t help but remember how Emma called Neal a misogynist here).

Neal however she does hold things against, we saw that in 3×02. She hasn’t forgiven her own parents for abandoning her, and therefore Neal. She DOES hold Neal’s actions against him. And that’s what matters here.

And I have to laugh when people say that Emma will be mad at Killian when she finds out what he did to Bae. I mean, she’s seen him at his absolute lowest point, when he was doing villainous acts working for Cora and shooting Belle and taking advantage of Archie’s kidnapping etc. And in season 2, I can’t remember the episode, Emma talks about giving Regina a second chance because she if nobody had given Emma a second chance then she wouldn’t have changed. So that’s basically what Emma is giving Killian here.

And I totally advocate that Emma forgives Neal, and they both find their HE, but it’s just not with each other, there’s a difference between turning from being a person who does bad things to a person who does good things and Neal and Emma’s relationship dynamic IMO. It’s not the same.

LOVE those gifsets!!! Thank you! Didn’t even NOTICE the neck scratching thing in Tallahassee when he’s walking away from Emma. I mean, this just PROVES that he’s all insecure in her presence, no matter his cocky façade 🙂 DID YOU WATCH THE VIDEO I posted it’s amaaaaazing whoever did it deserves an award!

So I’ve been thinking about 3×05 a little and about how it’s going to be paralleled to Tallahassee. Because we know it will be 😉

So Tallahassee was the home Emma wanted with Neal. The home she didn’t get because he decided otherwise. And what is Emma’s theme this season? “Believe a Lost Girl can find her way home“. And the key in the picture of the episode title – Emma and MM’s home. So yeah. This episode is going to be all about home. And funnily enough (lol not really), it’s a Killian-centric episode.

We KNOW that Killian won’t back down from Charming telling him to stay away from Emma, unlike Neal. What did Snow say to Charming in 3×03? That he was her home. Who first identified Emma as a lost girl? Killian.

So yeah, basically Emma’s home is Killian, even if she doesn’t know it yet.

@obisgirl – you completely inspired the above, with your timeless love in NL post 🙂 Because the first thing Emma says about finding a home? “Where – Neverland?” in an episode called “Tallahassee” 😉

I originally thought that it would be a flashback of Killian in Emma and MM’s apartment but I highly doubt that’s how it’s going to play out now. *mourns loss of magic compass theory* But I think what I said above is quite likely to be what’s going on, because it’s more subtle.

@rumplegoldfan – love your analysis and your take on the kiss. Absolutely fantastic. I have nothing to add at the moment because you’ve killed me with feels. Killed. Me.

No but seriously I really would like to see more context for the scene, what happens before, what happens after, before I go into full blown discussion. The sneak for 3×04 made me think things that were wrong so i’m trying to keep an open mind.

Everytime I rewatch that sneak peek I die. Just saying.

EDIT: Okay I do want to say some things 🙂 lol!

I think that Killian is overcome by all these people thanking him and believing him to be a hero so he slips into the jungle on his own to escape. I think that Emma (who is always aware of him let’s be real) notices that he leaves and follows him. And I do believe they share another drink yes 😉 And I totally agree about him being all puppy-dog awkward and not knowing how to deal with her. Captain Innuendo is definitely his defence mechanism – much like Emma uses logic. Captain Innuendo is his wall. I absolutely LOVED when he tapped his lips in invitation! But I also don’t think he expected that she would actually kiss him – every other time he’s flirted with her she’s run away. You could see that he was stunned and didn’t react for a second or two when she kissed him. And when the kiss was over Captain Innuendo was nowhere in sight – Killian’s walls were down and he was – i’ll say it again – stunned. Because he’s realising now how much trouble he’s in. Emma was similarly shaken, but she will live in denial for a long time. I think Killian will have to nearly die or be forcibly taken from her before she realises that she loves him.

But oh my god, can I just say, there will be more kisses, and I can’t wait for the lingering, longing looks at each other when the other doesn’t realise it. Because there was a HUGE amount of sexual tension there that hasn’t been dissipated – and they have to work with each other. It’s not going to go away. It’s going to build and build and build.

Yes, also the kiss will be near the end of the episode, just like Snowing’s will be at the beginning. The two power couples bookending the episode *HAPPY SIGH*

Also, Emma’s smile when Killian says “as you wish”? A lot of people on tumblr are speculating that Emma knows the quote and what it means. It would make sense – she’s an 80’s baby after all. Anyway, either way, Killian Jones is making our Emma smile, and it hasn’t happened a lot recently. Only ever when she’s been – oh yeah – in his company.😉
