Love those thoughts obisgirl!
You know, I don’t normally put much stock in publicity departments and what they show, but I think it’s important here to make note of the fact that everyone is marketing CS – everyone. NO-ONE is promoting SF. At least not that I have seen. They didn’t win worst couple for nothing. People don’t like them together, and they love Captain Swan. That’s the impression i’m getting.

@MysteryKat – totally agree with everything you just said! Completely and utterly.
See what I’m realising is that in general two other main ships for Emma do not want what’s best for Emma. Because IMO what’s best for her is Captain Hook. The writers have set it up that way. If you’re looking you can see it. They build each other up and support each other emotionally and make a great team.
And that kiss was far from just lust. I’ve seen some people saying that it’s just lust. Nope sorry, they’ve spent a WHOLE YEAR building up emotional connection etc. and it culminated in that kiss and let’s be real here there WILL BE MORE. So basically it’s not lust, but what it is IS PASSION. And that’s what the difference is.
I’m not letting the hate get to me anymore, because we called everything about this kiss, this scene, Emma’s reaction, EXACTLY where their feelings for each other are at. EDIT: Actually, i’ll admit to being COMPLETELY BLINDSIGHTED ABOUT THE PRINCESS BRIDE PARALLEL, BECAUSE IT’S JUST SO BLATANTLY OBVIOUS AND I JUST CAN’T DEAL WITH IT AND IT’S 15 HOURS LATER OR SOMETHING AND HONESTLY ADAM AND EDDY AREN’T EVEN TRYING TO HIDE IT ANYMORE THAT THIS – CAPTAIN SWAN – WAS THEIR STORY ALL ALONG
They can’t take that kiss away from us. And ultimately, they will have to stop running away and face facts – because the momentum is going our way, with every week that passes, EVERY spoiler, every tidbit.
Killian has basically told her he loves her. That line from The Princess Bride says it all. They’re it for each other.
EDIT: And can I just say that those challenges were issued to each other BEFORE the kiss for a reason.
“You couldn’t handle it” “Perhaps it’s you who couldn’t handle it”.
It was to show that BOTH OF THEM WERE UNABLE TO HANDLE IT. Ha. I mean seriously. This is how you OTP.

Let me tell you what this kiss was not:
1. It was not about comfort
2. It was not a thank you, despite the implication
3. It was not because Emma was vulnerable
4. It was not Emma hanging on to Neal’s ghost (I’ve seen that and it just makes me lol because she is not thinking about anything there apart from Killian)
This kiss was:
1. Passion
2. Challenge
3. Fireworks
4. Unexpected
5. Emotional (towards the end anyway)
6. And absolutely amazing to both of them
7. WILL BE REPEATED EVEN THOUGH NEAL WILL BE BACK IN 3X06 OR SO
I cannot get over how stunned Killian was that she called his bluff. I just can’t. He was so shocked – and he’s realising now that he’s falling in love with her, as we predicted he would. Naturally Emma is behind, but when you look at all the shots of her in that scene, she is not holding her feelings back whatsoever, and they’re clearly shining on her face.
I was expecting their first kiss to be EXACTLY this way. Raw and passionate and emotional. Because that’s who they are. They aren’t sweet Snowing. They never will be.

And Snowing. Don’t forget Snowing! I’d also like to add Snowing (OUAT) and Han & Leia were couples who didn’t start out liking each other. All Leia could do with Han during the first two movies was fight with him and Snow didn’t like Charming when she first met him either in Snow Falls. And yet both couples ended up together in the end.

So yeah, I hope the SFers and SQers are happy with themselves. They have completely misinterpreted this scene in every way.

OMG OMG OMG!!! OMG OMG OMG!!! OMG OMG OMG!!! Excuse me, I will just be over here in the corner watching that clip for the next four or five hours . . . I can’t even compose myself to write anything yet!!!

I can talk about the scene now I have almost fully recovered from my earlier anger because no-one, NO-ONE, can take that kiss away from us.
Scene breakdown:
Okay, so the scene starts out with her being genuinely surprised that he saved her father’s life, which turns into sincere gratefulness (is that a word? I don’t know anymore) and she thanks him. THEN the sparks start to fly and they start overtly flirting with each other. This is where he turns into his old Captain Innuendo self and says that another form of gratitude is in order with a cheeky smile on his face, and he oh-so-casually touches his lips to indicate what he wants. This is where she grins – GRINS – at him and tells him he couldn’t handle it, effectively CHALLENGING HIM lol, and then he CHALLENGES HER RIGHT BACK and says that perhaps she’s the one who can’t handle it. And she is smirking at him at this stage in a “you’re in for it now” kind of way lololol which I absolutely loved. AND SHE GRABS HIM and puts her hand on his head and he is completely at a loss for a few seconds – absolutely stunned – until he goes for it with her. THEY HAVE A FULL MAKE-OUT FOR LIKE 10 SECONDS. Then she stops and leans her forehead against his – see the picture on the previous page – and he’s like “that was” and MOVES IN AGAIN TO KISS HER and she says “a one time thing” and walls slam back up. Both of them are audibly panting when the scene closes. Killian puts his fingers to his lips and is SIMPLY STUNNED.
The fact that she says it was a one time thing is the best thing she could have said. CSers have written countless fics for MONTHS AND MONTHS saying that she was going to say that exact same thing. THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING. AND IF THAT WASN’T AMAZING ENOUGH, WE GET HIT WITH A VERY BLATANTLY OBVIOUS PRINCESS BRIDE PARALLEL. She tells him to go and “not follow her” “give it five minutes” “collect some firewood” (all so she can have time to put back up her walls) and he says “as you wish”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Emma smirks – SMIRKS BECAUSE SHE KNOWS HOW SHE HAS AFFECTED HIM.
SO IN SUMMARY:
CAPTAIN SWAN HAVE BEEN PARALLELED WITH TWO ICONIC COUPLES:
1) Wesley and Buttercup
2) Han and Leia
Try to tell me our ship isn’t endgame. Just try.

A lot of SF shippers are behaving disgustingly right now and i’m so outraged on Emma’s behalf. They are not Emma stans as far as i’m concerned. They don’t care one whit about her. They don’t see anything other than the fact that Emma kissed Hook when she’s supposedly Neal’s property. They are trying to discredit it by making it about Neal. They are trying to discredit her agency and her choice in the matter by saying she’s emotionally vulnerable.
I am still shaking with anger right now. I’m not going to recover for a while.
But there was an EXTREMELY OBVIOUS Princess Bride parallel there. And that’s all i’m going to say now.
We are endgame. Repeat.

This kiss was amazing and was everything we could hope for.
Very angry right now and my hands are shaking. Seeing a lot of hate for Killian in the tag, saying he “extracted payment from her” like she was a prostitute or something. Anyone who says this is not an Emma fan as far as I am concerned.
SHE CHOSE TO KISS HIM. HE CHALLENGED HER TO DO IT, BUT SHE CHOSE TO DO IT. AND BLATANTLY CHALLENGED HIM RIGHT BACK BEFORE SHE DID SO.

That other ship will do or say ANYTHING to discredit ours and i’m absolutely SICK TO DEATH of it.
And also, that kiss was NOTHING TO DO WITH NEAL. Absolutely nothing. It was to do with him, and her and her family. NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM.
The line “as you wish” was there. As far as i’m concerned that is a very obvious thing. CS are endgame. If you ever doubted it don’t doubt any more. That line was from “The Princess Bride”. And Killian has been compared to Dread Pirate Roberts before. NO MORE DOUBTING. Let the other ship try to discredit Emma’s choices. Just don’t let them get to you.
We are endgame. As far as i’m concerned that scene proves it.
