Participant@obisgirl – forgot to say congrats on getting your tweet answered! 😉
@MysteryKat25, agree with everything above! I love how in your posts you seem to have an argument with yourself and always resolve it, lol! It’s interesting to see your thought processes. This triangle is NOT going to be a full-blown one.
IMO, it all goes back to Barrie’s original triangle in his version of PP, a version that we know Eddy loves. The Peter/Wendy/Hook triangle will mirror the Neal/Emma/Killian triangle.
I LOVED THIS BOOK AS A CHILD. I was obsessed. I can’t remember where I read this theory but i’ll try to condense what I remember, and it has really stuck with me. My mind was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN when I read it.
In Barrie’s Neverland, Peter Pan (aka Neal) offers Wendy (aka Emma) a chance for a home, a family and she of course falls in love with him. This plays out basically the same between Emma and Neal in “Tallahassee”. (Also, apparently the city emblem for Tallahassee is a star, and this OF COURSE foreshadows Neverland).
Even though Peter is flirtatious/mischievous/charming he can’t give Wendy what she needs – real, true love, even when they’re pretending to be the parents of the lost boys. This parallels the scene in the convenience store where Emma and Neal are pretending to be a married, expecting couple.
Peter Pan doesn’t want to grow up, is avoiding the responsibility that it brings. Similarly in Tallahassee Neal is running from his responsibilities when he abandons Emma – because he doesn’t want to grow up, is still stuck as his teenage self, running from his father. EDIT: Also, interestingly, when Wendy sees PP years later, she is a mother. Familiar? When Neal sees Emma, years later, she is a mother.
In Barrie’s Neverland Peter and Hook (aka Killian) are referred to as two sides to the same coin. JMo has said that Hook reminds Emma of Neal.
Wendy (Emma) is spellbound by Hook (Killian) who represents adulthood and treats her with respect, which she cannot/does not have with Peter (Neal). Hook shows Wendy what could lie ahead of her should she choose to grow up. Killian shows Emma how he loved someone so devoutly that he would never have left her, and would spend 300 years trying to avenge her death. So basically in terms of OUAT, Killian is showing Emma what she can have with him, and what she can never have with Neal, just like how Hook showed Wendy what she could never have with Peter.
The Barrie triangle was a very subtle one. Even though in reality Wendy didn’t choose to be with Hook romantically (and wasn’t actually in a sexual relationship with Peter), she chose to take what he showed her was possible. He showed her a way to move on with her life, even though she would always have a place for Peter in her heart. And this will also be played out on OUAT, where Emma will choose to forgive Neal and move on from him, to chose Killian Jones.
Honestly, it sounds right to me. But I guess we’ll see.

ParticipantI was just talking to shipmate on tumblr about a realisation I had. There was a quote from Sylvia Plath about first kisses being important to the progression of a relationship or something to that effect. But yeah:
We never saw Swanfire’s first kiss.
All the significant building-up of their romance was just skipped.
That says it all.
We are seeing every single moment of the Captain Swan romance and how it’s affecting each of them on a deep emotional level. We saw Snowing’s and Rumbelle’s first kiss.
I’ve said it so many times, but Captain Swan are endgame. No doubt. If you are doubting, please stop now, you’re causing yourself anxiety and grief that you just don’t have to feel!

ParticipantAwesome. When it’s Colin’s, Jen’s and Josh’s favourite episode you know it’s going to be good.
Just saw on tumblr that apparently SF shippers are now saying that Neal didn’t move on from Emma because Tamara was fake! OMG! No. Just no. The CREATERS of the show specifically said that he was genuinely in love with Tamara. HE MOVED ON. END OF STORY. FINITE. It does not matter if she was fake or not. And they’re also apparently saying that Emma “didn’t move on” from Neal, and yes, while there’s still some love left there, it wasn’t because of that that she didn’t move on, it’s because HE BROKE HER. And they seem to be forgetting all about Graham, and Gremma was pretty much canon, Emma was WILLING AND ABLE to move on with him, she wears his shoelace to honour his memory for goodness sake.
I’m sorry, but the line from 3×04, where Snow says that she would never be able to move on if Charming died is yet another way of backing this up. They’re trying to show us how not-Snowing-like Swanfire are IMO.
*literally fuming*
*almost wish CSF thread was open*
*but I don’t belong there because I don’t think SF has ANY merit*

ParticipantI did catch that line.
Lol! *winkwink*
And since it’s been so long time for both of them, feeling this kind of strong connection with someone else, it is a BIG deal. It’s a game changer.
Yessssss the emotion on both their faces is “hard to deny”!!! *sobs*

ParticipantBefore I get to my actual post, fulfilling my promise to have this picture on every page of our thread, because I don’t know about you guys, but EVERY TIME I see it I explode into feels all over again:
*HAPPYSIGH*
Now, on to serious matters. Watched the OUATIW from last night and there was an interesting quote from the Knave of Hearts:
When somebody truly loves you, they can never move on.
AHEM, now, I wonder how this could be relevant to another show that Adam and Eddy created? *coughNealmovedonandwasgenuinelyinlovewithTamaracough*
Because i’m stumped. 😉

ParticipantGood morning all! Well good morning for me.
Sigh, still seeing arguments that Killian will back away from Emma once Neal comes back into the picture. Suffice it to say it’s not going to happen. I’ve said it before, Killian backing away will be choosing the past, choosing Milah, which makes no sense because his character arc has all been about him choosing the future. “A man unwilling to fight for what he wants deserves what he gets”.
And also, Killian backing away would completely destroy the “choice” theme for CS(which spoiler: they’re not going to do lol), because he would be doing exactly what Neal did if he backs away – taking the choice from Emma’s hands, deciding that he knows what’s right for her.
@MysteryKat, agree with everything you said above! We are getting our slow burn, we are seeing the highs and lows of CS playing out before our very eyes, we are canon, we are timeless.
