All that matters is that we love our ship & we have valid reasons for believing it will not just happen, but be endgame…. so honestly dont buy into the rubbish IF it’s thrown at you, Once & our ship is meant to be a positive thing, not a negative thing
Yeah, i get you. And 99% of the time i DON’T buy into the rubbish. But every so often the Hook-hate and hypocrisy will get to me.
Like, some of the other side will call Killian a rapist, with no logical reasoning or canon foundation to support that, and yet, don’t judge Neal for impregnating a minor, which has been confirmed as canon. Some of them say that Killian is “forcing” decisions on Emma, but don’t talk about how Neal disregarded her decision in 3×04 to move on. They say that Killian somehow manipulated Emma into kissing him, and yet completely ignore the fact that Emma herself said to her mother that she “kissed Hook” and thus implied that she made a choice. They talk about how Killian was trying to sabotage Swanfire by telling Neal about the kiss, and yet completely ignore the fact that Emma didn’t tell Neal herself. They say that there is no legitimate connection between Captain Swan, even though there are a dozen articles/interviews with writers/actors that emphasise the opposite. They say that Emma has no feelings for Killian, despite JMo herself saying several times that she has feelings for both Killian and Neal. They say that Killian has a “crush” on Emma, and yet ignore the fact that Colin himself has basically admitted that “As you wish” was exactly what we thought it was, and Killian himself has declared that Milah was his “first” love. They say that WE overanalyse everything and yet, then they talk about what Emma “actually meant” in the cave.
Ugh. The hypocrisy/ignorance exhausts and astounds me.

YUP I did notice that. We talked about it a good few pages ago. A very deliberate decision by the writers. They probably didn’t want to overshadow Killian’s declaration!!!

Wouldn’t any kiss of Emma’s be a true love kiss though because Emma is true love personified? Hence why she was able to wake Henry and why her kiss brought back Graham’s memories. There was even the suggestion during season 1 that Emma should open a kissing booth and kiss the entire town to break the curse. So a kiss between CS or SF wouldn’t necessarily mean it was true love.
This is an interesting point. But Emma could also only break the curse with her kiss because it was Snowings “TL potion” that Rumple placed on the parchment of the curse – that’s what made her the saviour. I don’t know – it’s a hard one to call. I’m pretty sure the writers will clarify for us though, they don’t want to drag this triangle out, that was made pretty obvious by the lighter scene IMO, lol!

She’s so worried for him, and her feelings are written clearly on her face.

it is but if you go too fast or too long they’ll mistake you for a voting bot and temporarily or permanently block your IP. I’ve been in many of these things though so I know how to avoid this even if I use a macro to vote or get back in the game if I happen to be blocked.
Ah, well my laptop isn’t as fast as my PC so I don’t think that’ll be an issue when i’m at home lol!

@MysteryKat, love everything you wrote haha, there are some interesting things in there that you’ve got me thinking about.
Insider.com: How much room does all this emotional exposition leave for love in Emma’s life? Jennifer: It was definitely a priority for the writers this year to bring men into her life. Interestingly, I think we can’t truly be in healthy relationships until we work out issues with our parents, so I think it’s fascinating that they’ve chosen the season where she begins to learn about her parents to also be the season where she opens herself up to love. But Emma definitely won’t be the pursuer. She’s a tough nut to crack, but there are men coming into her life who aggressively try to break through her armor.
But see, this is what we’ve been saying all along! We said that she needs to be aggressively persued – someone who won’t give up, no matter what is in the way! A fighter. And that man is Killian. Neal has ALREADY taken a step back from Emma as of 3×07. I don’t see Neal aggressively trying to do anything with regards to Emma.
About those stills: I am sooo confused because everyone is everywhere and we’re getting conflicting info so i’m not even going to try to figure them out.

AGH it’s so difficult though. I would rather rely on what we know from the actual narrative (because in the narrative itself all signs point towards CS), but seeing those kinds of things is DEFINITELY encouraging 🙂
@polythenepam – I agree with everything you said! Except that Killian starts the silly behaviour. Because IMO it was actually Neal lol with his “thanks but she’s got me now”. It was that snarky line that prompted Emma to ask Killian what was up. But both men were equally silly in this episode (although it was quite amusing in an embarrassing sort of way) and i think that it is the last we will see of any of those silly triangle antics. Neal is older and doesn’t want to be known as ”Bae” anymore, so maybe it’s hard for Hook to see him as that young boy he cared so much for.
Yes, exactly this. Because just like we find it hard to connect Bae and Neal? I think Killian does too. Because Killian knew that Bae came to NL to save the Darlings. But he has to have deduced by now that Neal is the reason for Emma’s trust issues.

Thanks for answering Eala, but how do you explain Hook’s sulkiness when Emma told BOTH him and Neal that the person she would choose is Henry.
Lol, personally, I didn’t read that as sulkiness. I don’t know what my shipmates would say (thoughts anyone?) but to me it looked as though Killian was kicking himself. He was annoyed at himself for nearly having lost their chance to catch the shadow, just like Neal was. Neal was very contrite (points to him for that) but Killian isn’t a man who allows himself to be vulnerable around just anybody (the cave scene was an anomaly) so there is no way he would apologise in front of Neal and allow himself to be vulnerable that way. The only person Killian allows himself to be vulnerable with is Emma. He’s flawed yes, he’s human.
This is not a man prone to sulkiness. This is a man, who, just like Emma, tamps down on his feelings. And he KNOWS she would choose Henry, she had just told him so – “The only thing I have to choose, is the best way to get my son back”. That’s pretty clear to me.
I agree Hook was right when he said Emma had to choose (It wouldn’t be fair for either man to be strung along)yet it did seem like he assumed Emma would end up picking him over Neal especially when he uses phrases like “When I win” and “I will win”
One of the big themes of this season is belief. And Killian? Believes in their love. He knows his feelings aren’t one sided. He knows. He truly believes that Emma will pick him. It’s only a matter of her moving past Neal, and letting down her walls. It’s not about taking away her choice in the slightest. But he doesn’t doubt their love, and that, to me, is a HUGE Snowing shout-out.
Also Hook’s behaviour towards Neal was very offish considering Hook is supposed to “care” for Neal. It seemed like Hook was constantly trying to assert his dominance over Neal and prove to Emma that he was the “better man” but not in the good way. It’s like Hook was trying to prove his manliness to Emma.
Lol, to be honest, both Killian AND Neal acted ridiculously in that episode. Neal cares for Killian too, I thought that it was pretty obvious that they both care for each other – their was affectionate banter there IMO. But I have a feeling that lighter scene was A+E trying to show how ridiculous the “love triangle” is.
And IMO Killian doesn’t NEED to prove his manliness to Emma. He’s more than man enough, I think all of his past actions, both good and bad, have shown that.
Killian doesn’t need to prove to Emma that he is “the better man”. All he needs to prove to Emma is that he will put her happiness above all else. Which is what he’s been doing, consistently, throughout season 3.
