Phee’s bafflement is also my bafflement. ABC has got some golden children: ONCE, Grey’s, Scandal, Castle, Modern Family, and to a lesser extent Revenge. I’ve seen Scandal’s and Revenge’s and they are gorgeous. Especially Scandal’s. I can see why some people on Twitter are asking if ABC doesn’t care about us anymore. I don’ think that’ the case at all but I do feel jipped.
My bafflement too. It’s just so sad, how could they not realise that they are totally letting the fans down on this? Scandals are just beautiful. I can’t wait for it to come back. Haven’t seen Revenges ones yet.
Saw a couple of tumblr posts about the photos for Castle sucking as well, but haven’t tried to look them up. Also a common comment on tumblr is that Once has one of the most attractive casts on TV right now, so it takes some seriously special skill to have made them look that bad.

I get that they’re all working hard to get the first batch of eps shot and completed, but really, would one day off for a proper photo shoot have screwed up the shooting schedule that bad? Make it on a Sunday, I’m guessing they probably don’t usually shoot on Sundays anyway? They’ve already got the indoor jungle set up for shooting the show, I’m guessing that’s what they used for the group pic set, so why not just take all the pics there with the jungle backdrop while they were at it?
It would have been the easiest route, it’s just crazy that they didn’t utilise the set. Crazy.
In some of the solo shots, you can see the actual edge of whatever mat thing they’re standing on, which I’m guessing is supposed to look like dirt, next to a puddle of water that they’re being reflected in. It’s actually just a black mat of some type, lying over the top of a mirror. You can see the edge of the mat really clearly in some shots. The whole setup was so cheap. You can also tell that it’s a totally fake backdrop that just met the floor. Maybe that’s why they tried to blur it so much, to make it look less obviously a fake backdrop? But seriously, if they original backdrop looked fake, why not just get a stock image of some jungle and Photoshop that in instead? Rocks and logs around the bottom of the trees and hey presto, it’d all blend into the fake dirt mat they’re standing on quite effectively.
Goodness, that is so unprofessional. I’m not going to look at them again to find the matt though, i’ll trust you that they’re there Phee.
*sigh* any word on new shots since I’ve been asleep?

Having Hook really go after Emma whilst she’s in an emotionally vulnerable is a risky move depending on how they play it. If they do it where he acknowledges his feelings for her and wants to be there for her and help her and Emma realises how much support she has gotten from Hook WITHOUT him trying to push the romance front, then I have no issue with CaptainSwan. However if Hook is trying to push Emma into a romantic situation whilst she’s emotionally vulnerable, then that will be the final nail in CaptainSwan’s coffin. I don’t hate CaptainSwan but I seem to go back and forth on it, same with SwanFire.
I see what you’re saying here. But Emma is so good with those walls of hers I expect it will actually be very difficult for Killian to break through, and it will take a while. I think he’ll do it slowly, and will be smart about it. The decision will be very much up to her.
Haters already out in force, saying that CS will only be a one-night-stand. Ugh. Don’t they get that Emma could not do casual with someone who understands her on the level that Hook does?

I hope they don’t rush it – I want Emma and Killian grow to love eachother. Killian has to be there for her now, help her get Henry back and she’ll see what a great man he can be – if he wants to. And then he can go after her…
I kind of agree. I want it to grow slowly for Emma, maybe the other way around with Killian. But I also want it to be relentless, that he never lets her forget that he wants her. Emma needs that reassurance, she’s been abandoned so many times.
I’m still squeeeeeeeeeeeeeealing with joy over that little tidbit from Eddy!!!
