Captain Eala
ParticipantOn a happier note, remember Emma’s nursery? There might have been foreshadowing in there than the pirate doll.
OMG wow!
I have a very interesting meta here you should all read. No really, read it. My mind is blown. Again.

Participant@rumplegoldfan – It won’t happen – Neal has already been faced with a choice to go back to his 14 years old self and FIRMLY shut it down. And personally, I wouldn’t want to see it. I want to SEE Neal’s character progression back to Bae, to not deny that he is Bae anymore.

ParticipantI’d also like to add:
He also ended it with. “It will not because of trickery. It will be because you want me.”
In other words, the choice is still Emma’s. If she wants Hook to be there, he will continue to be there. If she wants him to back off and give her space, he’ll do that too. (He did this after their first kiss. He gave her space). Everything is about her choice. If she wants Hook, if she wants to be with him, that’s her choice. There is nothing wrong in Hook letting her know that she will have to make a choice at some point, because the reality is, she will have to. It probably won’t happen now but once Henry is saved and they’re all back in Storybrooke, she will have to make a choice.
100% agreed. Yes, Killian is VERY confident (but why shouldn’t he be?), and also a bit pushy(she wasn’t ready to hear that she had to make a choice), but at the end of the day Emma DOES have to make a choice (and to be honest I think it’s already been made, lol).

ParticipantI’m just interested in the CS shipper view of this, rather than trying to cause trouble. I’ve seen in this thread that it’s believed that a theme of CS is choice. How is Hook telling Emma that “WHEN he wins her heart” and “He WILL win it” giving Emma any semblance of choice in the matter?
That’s ok, i’m happy to answer 🙂
Killian starts out with “You are going to have to make a choice.” And it’s a fact, she WILL have to. Prizes/objects cannot make choices. If Emma was just an object or a prize to be won, Emma’s decision would never figure into it – it would be about who “deserves” her more, Killian or Neal. And, Killian doesn’t think he deserves her – he thinks he’s the “worst human around” with a “rotten heart” as Belle said to him (and he agreed). He thinks of himself as a villain (as seen in 3×01). So he does not think he deserves her, but he thinks that he WILL win her heart in the end due to his honourable and selfless actions, as demonstrated most recently in 3×06.
Now, i’m going to compare this to Neal’s line from last week – because let’s be real they were supposed to be compared. Emma tells Neal that his presence causes her pain and makes it harder for her to move on, which is a choice she has made. She said she can’t change her feelings. And Neal’s response “I’ll never stop fighting for you. Never” – is essentially ignoring that choice, and over-riding her feelings.
The way I see it is that one man is saying that Emma will need to make a choice (and that is true. But at the same time, he is also implicitly stating that he will respect her choice, but that he truly believes her choice will be him) and the other man is hearing her make a choice and basically saying “ok but I don’t care I still want you”. I’m not saying Neal was malicious, but he truly did not listen to what Emma said, and I find that to be worse to be honest. I would want my partner in life to hear what I was saying.
Hope that helps!!!

Er, yeah, very blatant parallel there too with the True Loves stating that someone has to make a choice.

Participant@MysteryKat – you totally have me crackshipping Tinkerfire!!! I’ve been wondering about it all day, especially when the press release very conspicuously left them out of the list for going to #SaveHenry! Presumably they’re going to #SaveWendy (lol). But the thing I find most interesting is that they will totally have a chance to bond on this side-mission. And I was talking a few episodes ago about how interesting it was that Tink has Tamara’s watch. So I really think Tamara is going to come up. I hope so. I don’t want it skimmed over.
EDIT: Okay, with the promo stills I am now totally confused.

ParticipantOMG THAT ANALYSIS I DIED
To me,… this sounded like Neal backing off. I think we have to understand Neal’s perspective when he told her he’d never stop fighting for her, he’d JUST lost Tamara (we know it was 4 or 5 days ago) and was clinging to the hope that he and Emma could work through all their history.
YESSSSSSSS I also thought he had backed off a bit! Nice to know i’m not the only one. I didn’t link it to Tamara though.
There were plenty of times where Emma could’ve told Hook he’s getting ahead of himself. That he’s reading her wrong. She’d done it to Graham, someone she really genuinely liked. She’s done it to MM, to Henry. But here, when Hook tells her that they’ll be together, she believes him.
*dying from feels here* *dying* *doctor anyone?* *i have a mighty need for a doctor* *or a defibrillator*
She doesn’t fight him, or shut down, not until he brings up Neal. She doesn’t shut down until he brings up Neal.
I didn’t even notice that she didn’t shut down until Killian brought up Neal! DID NOT NOTICE
Writers do not say *stuff* like “WHEN I win your heart” unless it’s to outright tell the audience. I have zero, zero doubt.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I ALSO SAID THIS YESTERDAY YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
They are mesmerized by each other. They make each other happy. They make each other smile. Two people who are broken and hurt and defensive and scared…and they’re comfortable around each other.
*GROSS SOBBING*

WOW MysteryKat, i think that was the longest thing you posted yet? Loved it though 🙂
I’m a bit upset that they made all the Hook-Neal reuniting moments about Emma
I have to say i would agree with that, I do want the relationship between them to be repaired, but i DO believe it will be someday. Even though Killian may have had fatherly feelings towards Bae, he’s now Neal, and Neal is different, all grown up now. But the thing is, Neal ALREADY has a father and needs to repair that relationship asap.
I honestly don’t get the idea that Killian should “step aside” so that Neal and Emma can be together. Because ultimately? Neal doesn’t make Emma happy.
Where in the hell does he get this confidence? Why does he think he has a fighting chance with her?
I’m pretty sure that the moment in the cave, where Neal admits that Emma didn’t tell him about their kiss, gave Killian hope, and restored his confidence that he could have a chance with her. Emma has pretty high walls, and the fact that she had those walls with Neal and didn’t tell him about the kiss, that it wasn’t her “darkest secret”, made Killian realise that. Because Emma has no walls around him, and can’t hide her true self from him like she can with everyone else. This is a canon fact.
Yeah, I get that pirates are bad and all but I feel like the constant emphasis on it is getting old.
It’s wearing on me too – but they’re emphasising it because Killian’s NL arc is to believe that a pirate can be a hero. And Emma is realising that too. When Emma said she was a pirate, she was referring to the stereotype of pirates. She wasn’t referring to him – heck she had just thanked him for doing the honourable thing! The Charmings are all starting to realise that just because one is a pirate doesn’t mean one is a bad person.

Yep, pretty much sums up my entire day!
Are we sure that girl isn’t a CS fan or maybe we’re tell not just seeing things through our collective shipper spyglasses lol
I remember her saying in comments before that her OTP is Snowing – so far this season she has a soft spot for CS naturally BECAUSE THAT IS THE WRITERS AIM but she always appreciated SF too. 🙂 This is how I know we aren’t seeing things that aren’t there lol.
Someone needs to tell ABC, this is not how you promote a love triangle.
OMG
lololololol
Wasn’t there a shot of ALL THREE they could use? And they chose THE scene, where he tells her he wants to win her heart? Oh ABC. Your shipper bias is showing!!!
