Oops, when I said Meditteranean, I actually meant Carribean. I always mix those two up 🙂

Just saw them, and so excited! I’m wondering how Emma falls in and why she isn’t immediately drowned by the mermaids or something. Also, can Emma even swim? We don’t know that yet… presumably can, since she’d hate to be helpless.

Hook looks like he’s trying to stop Charming from going into the water after Emma. Why????

The drink looks like it’s going to be rum, which we should have guessed. It’s a pirate thing after all 🙂

Oh, soooo excited!!! 🙂 The drink he’s giving her is most likely rum, which is made from fermented sugar cane I believe. Not exactly tropical, but mostly made in the mediteranean….

I doubt he’s in Ireland right now, since he’s filming right? I’ll be able to ask him if it’s Irish time.

You type [ S p o i l e r] text you hide and [/ s p o i l e r] without the extra spaces in there. I had to put those in so it wouldn’t do the command. It has to be around the paragraph you want to hide.

    Thanks for that!!! 🙂

I feel they already did establish that first or even second love is not always your true one with Rumple’s story. They established it could be one and the same with Snowing. So the writers have not boxed themselves in to anything. In the real world, it is probably much more common to experience a first love and real true love later on, when you’re more mature. It’s also possible, and I have met a few people like this now, who are BACK with an earlier love after another relationship (sometimes with kids in a brady bunch kind of thing). I appreciate different types of love stories.

Me too, as long as they’re done properly 🙂 and like I said, if they fully develop Neal into someone who matches Emma in every way, I wouldn’t be too sad about not seeing CS. Ok I would. But I would have a sense of closure. As well as the characters, their fans also need closure!!!

That’s why I wish this show would make some kind of distinction between first loves and true loves.

    So true!

With regards to your spoiler, I thought so. Isn’t the episode called “Good Form”? While that screams Hook, it’s also what he said to Emma in Queen of Hearts 🙂

PS How do I black out content for spoilers???

I could see CS being developed that way, just as I feel Rumbelle is, but it doesn’t take away from a love story like Snowing either that is more like the Disney first and true love kind of story. Yet in terms of what it would take to prove it definitively? I think the writers could always find ways involving magic beyond what they showed us already. It’s kind of a cheap device though, if the only way people will believe a couple’s love is genuine is through magic, not through the actual romance formed by their interactions and faith in each other. Then again, as I said with Rumbelle, if you want to doubt it, you could, and maybe they do have to pull the tried and true sleeping curse device out to settle it.

If Charming didn’t wake Snow from the curse, would you believe they still loved each other deeply? I think I would because of all the chances they had to walk away from each other. I think the same of Henry and Emma. She didn’t have to stand by this kid. She didn’t have to put up with all the horrible things Regina did to her. Long before she gave him that kiss, I think the story itself told us she truly loved him.

I hope that’s how the writers go about whatever ship they give Emma. I don’t want it to be like ‘She’s in a curse, and along comes this character and its true love whether you like it or not.” That’d be definitive proof of lazy writing to me, nothing else. I have hope that is not what they are going to do.

All very interesting thoughts kfchimera, and also very true! I definitely believe that Snowing were TL, curse or no curse, but Emma’s situation is a bit more complex than that. And, without a definitive show of who her TL actually is, neither ship will be settled. I would rather find out that Emma and Neal were TL for certain than have her get with him and it’s not settled either way. Otherwise, there’ll always be doubts for all the shippers, not matter who they support.

No worries. :-) Makes you wonder just how powerful she could prove to be. If she can do something as major as prevent her heart from being taken, when she doesn’t even realise that she’s doing anything, then what could she be capable of if that amount of power actually becomes conscious and focused.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. I’m wondering if she’ll even be able to control her powers. And I think there’ll be a limit to what Rumple and Regina can teach her.

True about the Curse weakening because of her presence, but because it was her presence that caused that, I still see it as something magical within her that sparked to life and made stuff happen, even though she was unaware of it. The power lines sparked the first moment she got out of the Bug and actually set foot in SB. The ground shook when she put on the Sheriff badge. Graham remembered when he kissed her. She didn’t have control over any of that, but something within her was still causing change around her. She didn’t kiss Henry intending for the kiss to wake him up and break the Curse. She didn’t touch Regina’s arm intending to make the hat work. She had no idea Cora wouldn’t be able to take her heart. But she still unconsciously made it all happen, because she just oozes magic, because it’s an inherent part of her.

I never thought of it quite like that before, all the little things adding up to that. That’s my question answered. Thanks! 🙂
