We already know that they take back the kingdom. They were living in the castle at the time of the pilot.
Yes, I just meant that the process of taking back the kingdom will be part of the Season 2 storyline. Understandably, it is kind of implied as inevitable.

There’s only so much the writers can cram into one episode. Reunions, dragons, magic, double-crossing…it’s a lot to fit into a single episode. So, I wasn’t at all disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised by just how much screentime Belle and Gold actually got. I thought the writers were just going to have Regina tell Mr. Gold about Belle, and then BOOM. THE END. 😯 So, for them to have 2 reunion scenes and mutal exchanges of “I love you” was more than I could have asked for. 😀
The first scene in the shop was my favorite scene of the entire episode. Mr. Gold was so genuinely shocked and releaved to see Belle again. Tears in his eyes, having to touch her to see if she was real…it was too perfect. 😥
I’m also not too concerned about their love story as a whole. Like others have noted, the writers are in love with love. They mention true love in almost every episode. We’ve already seen that Belle is the key to breaking Rumpel’s curse. And in the end, I think she’s going to be the one to save him.
I agree Beauty, even though I could have watched a whole other hour of just Rumbelle scenes, there was obviously a lot of stuff crammed into the Season Finale. Hopefully, the next season will sort out and fill in some of those gaps.
At least we have concrete validation that both Rumpel and Belle know that they have true love together. There will certainly be many issues still to sort out. It seems Rumbelle may replace MM/David as the star crossed couple of Season 2. Unfortunately that will mean quite a bit of angst before hopefully true love will survive as for Snow/Charming.
It is frustrating that Rumple is still seeking out magic/power. He at least has told Belle for certain that he loves her, no longer cowering behind “loves his power more”. But he certainly does seem to love BOTH Belle and power. This was his same problem with Bae and power, leading to him losing Bae. Back in The Stranger, when Gold thought August was Bae, he seemed momentarily like he would give up power by sacrificing the dagger. Right now don’t know if he was planning to use the true love potion in the magic well or if he decided this after being frustrated that he had not yet found Bae.
My assumption is his overall motivation in still to find Bae. Once we get to that point, I think Bae and Belle together will still have to really work on getting Rumple to give up his power.
It’s like Rumple has an addiction to power. Maybe they’re going to need an intervention session headed by Archie. Maybe Rumple, Regina, and even Blue Fairy need to start a Poweraholics Anonymous group. One day at a time… But alas, I digress.
king arthurParticipantThe original Grimm fairytales and other similar stories were rather dark and “grim”.

Disclaimer: I found this on my tumblr, so I’m hoping it’s a relialbe source:
Can Emma save August?
The bad news: Jennifer Morrison tells us that we won’t find out whether Emma can stop Pinocchio’s transformation in this Sunday’s finale. The good news: “Pinocchio’s story continues,” executive producer Adam Horowitz says. So that means more Eion Bailey, and who doesn’t love a hot Stranger on a motorcycle? Some of my post could be considered spoilerish.
I assumed August was the major character death that was hinted at by producers previously. The quote from the producers I took as meaning Pinocchio's story in FTL will continue to be explored. This could be also if Dr. Whale truly is Monstro. Producers have hinted more off Dr. Whale's character will be explored.
king arthurParticipantThanks for link to vid, sum…that was beautiful. Will definitely be one of the videos I will have to obsess over until more and permanent Rumbelle comes back in the fall.
king arthurParticipantI predict for Season:
1. In FTL, storyline will continue on Snow/Charming as “take back the kingdom”.
2. In Storybrook…well, there will be NO more Storybrook. The purple smoke (much like the Queen’s curse black smoke in pilot) will transport everyone again to another realm. The new twist will be everyone remembers who they are but loved ones will be separated and dispersed throughout into a variety of different realms (Oz, Neverland, Wonderland, etc)…everyone trying to reunite with loved ones.
3. Now that the SB curse has broken, as predicted originally by Rumplestiltskin…now the “final battle” will begin. This will be a battle for ultimate power between Emma, Rumple, EQ, and Blue Fairy.Loved Season 1 finale, heck loved all of Season 1 OUaT. Will be a long summer to wait for the return of Season 2. 😥
king arthurParticipantWas still hoping for a KISS!!!

She’s got to reunite with Grumpy.
I like this idea…Grumpy finds her during his shift cleaning in the hospital basement. But do they consider Grumpy a guest star role?
king arthurParticipantWell, Jefferson said the object would have to be small enough to fit in a hand. So, can’t pull a person out, living or dead. Also, I assumed it had to be an inanimate object
