Unless they’re already taken can I be keeper of Mr. Gold’s single gold tooth and Rumple’s black fingernails manicure?
[adrotate group="5"]king arthurParticipantOK, I’m jumping on the bandwagon.
I’d like to be Keeper of:
1. Rumple’s bottled True Love potion/spell
2. “Always finds its target” bow and arrowking arthurParticipantI agree weedith. Recently posted same thought under the “I’m calling it” thread.
🙂king arthurParticipantNice summary Nonnie.
Now that we have confirmation of Cora as the miller’s daughter, my most recent theory is that Cora may have missed out on marrying her true love because her father (aka The Miller) was trying to social climb and impress the local king that his daughter could spin straw into gold.
At that point Cora does not yet have magic yet. The King that is greedy for a wife that can spin straw into gold may have been Midas before he got his golden touch.
So since Cora cannot actually spin straw into gold, Rumplestiltskin comes to offer the many deals that Cora referred to in Stable Boy. Cora is rewarded by becoming Queen. By this point, Cora has gained her father’s passion for social status and power.
I think Kathryn/Abigail is the baby that Cora traded away as her first born. Once Rumplestiltskin came back to collect on the deal, King Midas was so upset he divorced and banished Cora from his Kingdom. Cora ended up marrying Henry who as Nonnie states is likely wealthy but not royalty or nobility. And although Cora may not truly loves Henry, she probably likes the facet that she can manipulate him.
After having Rumple set the example, Cora also comes to the realization that magic will provide greater power in FTL. She may have learned some magic from Rumple, and some from other sources.
Meanwhile, King Midas makes another deal with Rumplestiltskin in order to keep his daughter. Not sure yet what he trades. Eventually of course, King Midas gets his “golden arm”.
Abigail may have known her mother had been banished and heard rumors of how Cora had killed Regina’s love in order for Regina to become a Queen. After all, Abigail does state she ears everywhere. Therefore the reason for why Abigail comments to James after he has helped her rescue Frederick that “some people will do anything” to keep others from their happy endings.
king arthurParticipantDoes the copyright include the use of references to the Lost Boys or Neverland or just Peter Pan specifically?
April 4, 2012 at 1:30 am in reply to: Who is August? Why can’t he be both Bae and Pinocchio? #140862king arthurParticipantI really want August to be Bea but there have been so many hints for him being Pinocchio. I am still holding out hope he may be Bae because with OUAT there’s always an unexpected twist.
As such, I certainly would welcome if August turns out to be BOTH Bae and Pinocchio, but there are still parts that don’t make sense.
One thing I can’t figure out and rationalize is the age difference between Bae (who was 13 in Desparte souls) but then real boy Pinocchio in Pilot was 6 or 7. That would mean Bae/Pinocchio became younger while he was a puppet.
Also, when Rumple spell turns Gepetto’s parents is when Gepetto is a young boy, so where or what is Baelfire doing while Gepetto is growing up?
Perhaps Rumple tried to transport Bae in some magic wood (much like the wood used to transport baby Emma) but somehow it didn’t work or he just got stuck in the wood. Then Gepetto finds the wood, carves Pinocchio who inherits Bae’s soul when he is transformed into a real boy? Maybe a little far fetched? And I would still like Bae to really still be Bae (just grown up) and not transformed into Pinocchio.
The other problem is that I believe Bae is truly good, brave and noble. It is inherently in his nature to be loyal and truthful as August repeatedly mentions he is. But in the original story, Pinocchio went through a time when he DID LIE. It wasn’t until he gained a conscience that the Blue Fairy (in Disney movie) changed him into a real boy.
king arthurParticipantI’m calling that the true way to break the curse is for Regina/EQ to forgive MM/Snow, and for MM/Snow to forgive Regina/EQ. Emma will be the facilitator for this to happen.

At one point Snow told Regina how much Regina was going to love the palace and Cora said “Oh, I know WE will” so it sounds like Cora is moving there too. So maybe it isn’t just this past episode that is the problem. Maybe when (because I think she probably does) Regina kills her mother because she killed Daniel and she inherits her evilness, she then blames Snow for not only Daniel’s death but for the state of her life.
We do know Henry Sr lives at King Leopold’s castle with Regina.
Also, a new thought. Previously, it has been tossed around that Daniel may have been transformed into Regina’s cherished apple tree (myself included). We now know this is incorrect. What if Cora is the one changed into the apple tree and that is how it becomes the source of Regina’s magic.
king arthurParticipantAfter “Stable Boy” episode, can definitely say girl in the picture is young SW and what appears to be a white bunny is really an orchid that she is looking at (just before Cora has her little chat with her). Only thing is, in the illustration it shows someone holding a heart necklace in front, not sure who or what that part means.
king arthurParticipantI agree with all the posts that it is difficult to completely empathize with Regina.
First, Daniel pleaded with her to tell her parents.
Second, she knows what evil her mother is capable of.
Third, you really can’t trust a young child to keep a crucial secret. (I know at our house my daughter reveals everyone’s Christmas and birthday presents within five minutes of being told the secret surprise). Or at least Regina should have be more clear with young SW that Cora was that evil. And as many have mentioned, Cora really manipulated a very naive SW into spilling the beans.
Finally, at least at this point, SW doesn’t even realize that Daniel is dead, so it is rather unfair of EQ to hold such as grudge against SW when the girl doesn’t even understand the repercussions of what she had done.
It does seem obvious that EQ has totally shifted all the blame to SW when it should really have been on Cora. I can only say, Regina may have had a moment when she mentally snapped (when she lied to Snow that Daniel ran off) and has never been able to be rational ever since.
Still, the way the story went, it was hard to end up compassionate for the EQ. It’s strange that the way the OUAT cast & crew built up this episode, they all seemed to hint that we would truly feel for the EQ. Unfortunately, it was not nearly the same as the heart wrenching conflicted feelings about Rumplestiltskin that you get knowing his back stories with Bae and Belle.
