I believe she did not receive the diamond until the curse was activated and she was in SB. Someone brought it to her or told her about it. She is not the type of person to think things through. I believe the origin of the diamond will come into play when we find out how Henry was adopted.
Also, Regina is capable of anything. After knowing she killed Owen’s father in cold blood and an entire town of peasants she could anything. However, she couldn’t send boys to NL due to the t-word. The boys were brought by the shadow for PP’s purpose. I beat the Seer has more to do with the story than meets the eye. Rumple was given his future for a specific reason and I think PP and TB are behind it. I stand by my Rumple and PP being brothers and TB was suppose to watch out for their mom and didn’t. She ended up dying and she fled with PP and left Rumple. PP knows that Rumple will be related to the boy he wants. He sends Tink to SB to ensure that they will find him. This brings in the HO, GOAT and Henry’s adoption. Also, if Regina used the fail safe PP would still be able to get Henry.
And I know some of you think that Rumple is more evil than Regina and he would kill thousands of kids but here is my reasoning:
The major difference between Regina and Rumple in my opinion is their core. Regina had a choice to be evil. True her mother made her into the Evil Queen but she still had a choice. Rumple became evil through the curse of the Dark One. Without that curse Rumple was a timid man who loved his son with all his heart. Regina will always be Regina but Rumple can be good.

Argh! This is why I hate the whole time thing. I still do think that Tink protects PP due to some unresolved issue. Hmmm!
Maybe Tinkerbell was PP’s mother’s fairy godmother. She was unable to save her and felt she needed to stay with Peter. Long shot, but makes me feel sad for both of them.
When was Rumple looking for shoes? I miss so much when I watch I really need to see the shows over again.
This is the one thing that hurts my head. He is 300 hundred years old but was only in our world 115 years ago. So where was he for almost 200 years?

I tend to go with PP being Rumple’s brother. I mean who better to play the main villain than the Dark One’s sibling.

And they can meet Percy Jackson and all his sexiness (too young in the books but the actor is of legal age) on the way to Mt. Olympus. I know that would never happen but one could dream that they send Henry to Hogwarts.
In all seriousness I do think they will wrap things up a bit. They did learn a lot from Lost and some lose ends seem to be wrapping up quicker than I remember from the other series.
